  • Absolute great performance!! Thank you for sharing!

  • Love, love, love it! You've got the perfect shaped face for the look and tbh, look like you've stepped from the stills of a silent film! I think I found the look for my next Halloween party :)

  • Did they actually have these colours in those days? I am doing a clara bow for a fashion hair thing..i think they got the dates wrong..they said 30s but I think they done 1920s hair on me..

  • How do you get this makeup from dior cos I can never afford this..you must get it free

  • your daughter is right, this one is scary

  • Very gorgeous!!

  • "you don't look ugly, just scary." LOL!!!! My daughters would have said something like that when they were young!

  • Of all the vintage looks I've seen you do, I think this one naturally suits your face the best. You would've made a STUNNING flapper--you really have the perfect features for that era's ideal of glamour. :-) It's also just a stunning job of makeup work.

  • omg this is stunning work!!!!!!!!!

  • I am gonna copy it right now :) Happy New year!

  • Wow. That kind of sultry, smoky look doesn't work on my eyes, they're too big and open so not enough of my eyelid shows... this really makes me wish I could pull the look off! Incredible look, and I love your child too, so cute!

  • YOU ARE AMAZING!

  • thats great!) i like it so much

  • woah in the beginning i thought you were wearing makeup already!

  • Your eyes are sooooooo beautiful i wish i had cat eyes like that ;(

  • Very pretty

  • amazing!

  • " you look scary mummy"... lol... but i love the look :)

  • I love this look, will be trying it next time i go out. My eyes are very close to the same color as yours. However my daughter is about 20 has beautiful green eyes. I do her makeup for her sometimes. I will try this on her only in purple and browns. Other color suggestions for green eyes will be welcome.

  • Stunning !! I have eyes like you and I never know what to do to not make myself look like uncle fester !!! Thank you !!! Nicely done. As for the silly negative comments... Shut up

  • Great tutorial!

  • it is lovely look on you, it makes your eyes long and lovely....:) i i wish i had eyes like them....

  • طريقة الشعر مرة تجنن

  • يمممممه بحلم في الليل ,, مكياج ذا ولا فلم رعب

  • You are incredibly talented! Can't wait for your next tutorial. Take care

  • incredibly stunning!

  • If there were women at the grocery store that looked like this...I'd probably forget to buy my groceries.

Oh how I wish STYLE and CLASS was still alive in America like it was in the 1920's.

  • @bbcasting I think you'd be rather disappointed to see what most people in the 1920s looked like, all that flapper glamour was limited to a rather selected group

  • @19myself91 I understand that most women weren't flappers all the time. But you missed my point. At least the men still wore suits and hats no matter how poor they were.

Just too many people (men and women) with jeans, sweatpants, etc. nowadays. No style, no class.

  • @19myself91 That goes for many inspirational make up looks nowadays- we're not all walking around with J-Lo's powder created cheekbones

  • If there were women at the grocery store that looked like this...I'd probably forget to buy my groceries.

Oh how I wish STYLE and CLASS was still alive in America like it was in the 1920's.

  • OMG!! So sexy...*swoon*

  • beautiful!

  • Lily's so cute :)

  • You look amazing. It looks so good on you! Just love love love the eyes!

  • You look a lot like Kate Hudson! With and without the 20s makeup hah

  • WoW! You look like a young 1920's Gloria Swanson! Love it!

  • You're real beauty

  • Could you do a Biba tutorial,please :D xxooxx

  • 2O'S 30'S AND 40'S ERA LOVED TO HAVE LIVED IN THIS ERA...MINUS THE GREAT DEPRESSION!....U'R MAKE UP IS SO AWESOME I LOVE IT...BUT MY HUBBY DOESN'T LIKE TO MUCH MAKE UP ON ME(AT TIME'S)

  • you never fail to amaze me sam, great work as usual... i wish i have your magic tricks,

  • wow ! you are a bomb ! very lovely..

  • great job! i like all Your tutorials :)

  • I love this. Love love love this. Also, like many before before me have already mentioned: we need a tutorial for the hair! :)

  • That is by far the most glamourous version of 20's makeup tutorials I've ever seen. Somehow a lot of the others don't quite hit the mark, and end up looking too dark, gothish and contemporary, not magical at all... Yours on the other hand is super sultry, and the finished look drives me insane!!! Of course it helps to have your awesome face and spectacular eyes which totally come to life with all the effects! I'm saving this one!!! Having done your hair first, made for a great visual aid.

  • When I saw this video in small in the suggestions list at right, I thought it was Linda Evangelista in Dior backstage!

    Very well done !

  • I really want a tutorial on the hair. Maybe I'm unusual, but I would wear the hair any day.

  • @alli50n ME TOO!!

  • @alli50n Me three. I actually clicked on the link because I was looking for this specific hairstyle!

  • is there a tutorial for these hair? I need it for my wedding! Thanks

  • welll cool

  • if the chances of getting this look is less than likely, then whats the point of even putting up a tutorial for it? duh

  • I have been looking at tutorials on 1920s and 1930s beauty for half of the day and I must say that yours is the absolute WOW-est of them all. You look incredible!!!!

  • Looks awesome! Plus I love the 'you look scary mum' ..kids, gotta love 'em lol

    Philly Angel

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You have good bone structure... you could pull off any look, but this is very nice looking and well done.

Thank you for sharing your video

  • Beautiful!

  • Hey, i'm going to a 1920's theme party and this is honestly so so helpful! I love your guys videos and i am so inspired.

I don't even have an outfit sorted yet but i already feel confident i can pull off a real decent look just from makeup and hair!

    Thankyou so much!

  • lol you literally look like you stepped off a time machine, if there were makeup tutorials in the 1920's I imagine they would look exactly like this.....lmao

  • pure magic. pure atistry! excellent!

  • You're beautiful, you don't need all that make up.

You pull off the look very well though.

  • Stunning!!!!

  • I like this make up very nice!

  • Great job! I think u really executed the look, and u look like a model. The eye makeup really shows how blue your eyes, are and if it wasn't for the dark lips all anyone would be able to look at is ur eyes. But l know in the twenties they did that lip so u wouldn't be able to execute the look perfectly without it. But for the most part it looks great!

  • i love these videos! they're not the usual wearable ones, but it's a fun way to push creativity in make-up. love love love!

  • wow<3

  • I would really like to see you and Nic do a make up history segment. Looks throughout the ages. I really love makeup and fashion history.

  • this looks like it could be in the great gatsby or something. very pretty, i'm doing it right now for a twenties/thirties flapper gangster themed party for work. i love it!

  • @GulShakaarr she was joking...

  • @ Pixiwoo

Thank you for your beautiful make up tips!

But I have a question though... Do you have any tips for me to try to do the make up that looks like Helen Kane, that makes the eyes bigger with a sort of a dramatic look?

  • This look is fantastic...going to use it for New Year`s eve.

  • So thankful for you and your sis!!

  • I am in beauty school.. and fingerwaves are a big deal .. that looks a lot easier lol

  • That was Amazing! definetly gonna do this for holloween.

  • Stunning!Hope I can do this for my flapper girl halloween look.

  • You're the greatest. I just love your professional abilities, your deadpan presentation and you have a great canvas to work with.

I go around shopping with my hair in pins similar to those in this video. I have super long hair that I don't want to damage - so I have my hair "up": when I'm setting- then let it down a few minutes before I go out. I love the era that youre working with here. Used to be against make up, but watching your video is so great & not scary!

    warmest regards

    Jennie

  • beautiful..

  • stunning! i must do this look for Halloween as a flapper girl!

  • Straight out of a movie! you look amazing.

The look however, does have a hint of Ursala from The Little Mermaid...haha so maybe that's why your child thought you looked scary?

  • Thank you.)) I really like your tutorials. they are absolutely awesome!!!

  • this cateye shaped eyeliner and eyeshadow is very untypical for a 1920s look. but it still looks good. i adore 1920s/30s make-up.

  • I love it, I wish I could wear it. You + your sister make such great videos.

  • Excellent instructions and results

  • Wow! Great job! This look is incredible. So dramatic. You look like a wicked city woman—ready to vamp some unsuspecting, young man. hehe You would've fit right in with the flapper set in the 1920s. ;)

    Fantastic.

  • hahahahah Lily!

  • this is absolutely fantastic!

  • I really love this whole 1920's look which is why i dressed up as a 1920's flapper girl for a new year eve dressing up party but if i had seen your video i'm pretty sure my make-up would have looked a hundred times better :D
