@cleanhomer that is a rather sweeping statement and it can't possibly include everyone in America. I agree that as in most countries the citizens really don't concern themselves as much as they should about politics. I think that stems from a combination of laziness and trust that the government is working on their behalf. I like many have recently woken up and have done some research. Its frighteneing what the people are up against but I believe people united have more power than they realise.
Question: if the majority of the people believe that a power exclusive to the States would be better suited to be given to the Federal, or both, as long as this power shift wouldn't be tyrannical to even a minority of the people, shouldn't Congress take up their power to legislate & pass an Amendment to legalize that newfound Federal power?
After all, it is a gov't of, by, and for the people, isn't it?
@007CTHULHU007 Ask any historically-minded conservative who the most conservative president of the 20th Century was, and they’ll likely say Calvin Coolidge. Compare Silent Cal to Ron Paul's beliefs and be prepared to get schooled in the the wisdom of conservatism.
The world is changing and its the people who are making that change. Government is out of control and has lost its touch with basic morals and principles. Its time to lay down arms, bury hatred and fear and take care of ourselves and each other. Vote Ron Paul is the only rational choice. Do your homework because its time for everyone to participate. If people unite not even big goverment and huge business can stop whats happening.
@sharonmyk The world ALWAYS changes, that's nothing new (I don't know why you brought that up...), but the real reason gov't is out of control is because we the people lost our grip on what is supposed to be our responsibility, our gov't. We spent the latter part of the past century being moved more by pretty faces & charming smiles, as well as intoxicated every drug, legal or not, instead of wise & trusted representatives.
@LifeStyleOverDosed Baby, have a bad Christmas? Awww. It's mad. So mad it cap locked it's entire message. I'll reverse that statement for you and give you a child pass for trolling me since it's Christmas.
@LifeStyleOverDosed No thanks. I have no wish to have an isolationist fool that doesn't realize the danger of islam/muslims/terrorists or even why they do not like us as he believes it was, because we were based in Saudi Arabia that caused 9/11. He is a old fart that is insane, doesn't believe in personal responsibility for apparently anyone that has done us wrong, and would most likely start World War III with his insane policies. He is a 21st century Neville Chamberlain.
@hangtime911 It doesn't pay to be nice to people that are NOT nice to me and are dumb as a damn rock. Like you for example calling me stupid with while making ZERO points ...at all. Just an asinine troll comment. Go to Hell.
@007CTHULHU007 "It doesn't pay to be nice to people that are NOT nice to me" Really? It works for me! What did Jesus say about loving those who hurt, because it tosses hot coal upon their heads? I'm not Christian myself, but it's not a bad idea.
@DrKrastapopolos Mad? I'm just telling it how it IS. I don't argue with idiots too long if they keep repeating their selves hoping that repetition will turn their Beliefs into facts.
ESPECIALLY when I've had personal experience not just factual knowledge of in the area being discussed. Reality doesn't lie. People lie. They lie to their selves.
@22popuser A "Neocon" is a former democrat turned Social Liberal Republican. That's what a "Neocon" is. I am neither socially or economically liberal. I am a TRUE Conservative which does not mean I am Ron Paul Cattle. Paul is insane.
Liberalism/socialism is the main concern for freedom and economic prosperity right now. With a Conservative Senate, House, and Presidency this country can finally begin to heal from the liberal democrat(Frank) induced 08 crash and Obama's nightmare.
I am a convicted Meth dealer & abuser of damn near every form of mind altering substance. Notice I said nearly...I made choices & expanded my thoughts. Those who choose to kill themselves will do so regardless if it is legal or not. Legalize my all time favorite (cocaine) 2 mro & I will not run down to purchase some. Why? Because I have that choice. Cigarettes & alcohol are far more addictive destructive & costly to society than illegal narcotics.
Thats a good question. A shortage of money supply would make interest rates rise, which would cause people to save more because of the higher return and create more liquidity. The problem with today's system is that it ultimately ends in this manner, no savings and lots of debt. Not sustainable! Plus to accomplish it they increase our money supply through big banks which transfer wealth to the banks and government industries. Basically banks get rich/citizens get debt and high prices
And if i chose to do nothing to them and just cross the bridge when I come to it in order to prevent the cycle of violence, would that make me an isolationist? By what warped logic, is the answer to violence, the creation of more violence. This nation has been far too agressive for far too long, and if we didn't own dissproportionate share of the worlds wealth and power someone would be charging us with war crimes.
Calling him an isolationist, which would suggest an ignorence of history and common sense. If I am a school boy and there is another group of boys whom i don't like for whatever reason, and I, without provocation of any kind, I decide I am going to go hit them with a baseball bat, because i think that sometime in the future they might pose a threat to me, even though i am several years older and physically much stronger then they. Would this course of action be considered acceptable o justified
Ok so if Ron Paul is an "isolationist", than what term would you use for the policies of the soviet union and china, when foreign trade was completly cut off and entering or leaving the country required government permission. How can not wanting to be engeged in wars of agression be considered "isolationism". "Non-interventionism" is actually a very befitting term if you examine the policy that he is espousing. Why would an isolationist be such a staunch advocate for free trade and open markets?
Google opensecrets and see for yourself who is financing these politicians. You'll see Goldman Sachs is at the top of the list and Mitt Romney is the #1 recipient. Obama is right behind him. Don't you see? Wall Street is rigging our political system for its own purposes. Please research these politicians, the government is supposed to represent OUR voice not whoever has the most money.
@BlackFox48 ..and you are an ASSHAT that has nothing, but insults to sling and BELIEF in your cult-like politics. You are a Moronic Fool. Have a nice day, Mr. Asshat.
Ron Paul----Here is a honorable man who stands for over 75% of the demands of occupy protestors. Compared to the other 100% of the candidates that represent the 1%----------its a mathematical no brainer
@007CTHULHU007 Stop watching TV Network News. The controlled Media is telling you half the population of the U.S. is wrong on everything! Nonesense. They want to divided us so we won't see the truth. Ron Paul is a threat to the military industrial complex that's why they call him names. FOX says they're against socialism, yet they denegrate Paul who is for individual liberty. Republicans are in bed with 'communist' China. Think!
@22popuser The controlled media is 95%+ liberal biased. I try to avoid it when possible, but I must see what the ENEMIES of this country is doing on occasion.
Ron Paul's foreign policy I have been discussing elsewhere. I really do not care to start ANOTHER conversation about it. Suffice it to say I think his foreign policy of isolationism..renamed to non-interference is world suicide. The Paul Fairy will not protect us or stop terrorism...or even slow it down.
@22popuser FOX news in fact has many if not mostly Libertarians working there. Normal Libertarians even admit Ron Paul is too far gone for them. The GOP is not "in bed" with China. I think..I think deeply and often. I temper than with factual information about politics and history. Obama was wanting to borrow even more from China. The Conservative GOP is against everything that Communist China is. It was Clinton who gave them an old Naval Base and a super computer..now they have a faster SC.
@22popuser Most republicans have no idea about Irving Kristol's neomarxist lifetime or why the CIA paid to publish his english language magazine. Most republicans have no idea neocons are actually neomarxist, neostatist, or that their party was hijacked. All they need to do is to google Irving Kristol and study him and eventually the facts will dawn on them. watch?v=NswoOQAdYQ4
@007CTHULHU007 They are protesting, and they may not have more than a general idea why, but the problem does exist irregardless of which side (right or left) is pointing at it. Ron Paul is hardly crazy; his points stand with the rest of the Austrian school of economics, which history continues to redeem. We're living in George Orwell's nightmare of 1984. We have a police state. We have corporate / political control of the media. Everything is collectivized and the economy is regimented.
@intricatic You know....the problem doesn't exist in the contest of these "protesters". These "protesters" are MARXISTS, COMMUNISTS, Liberals/socialists, and Union asshats. Mostly Marxists, however. They are protesting Capitalism is what they are protesting.
Ron Paul is crazy as a shithouse rat when it comes to foreign policy. "stand with the rest of AUSTRIAN school..."? That's nice. They do not stand here well. I'm sure you are living in 1984 in Europe. Blame your socialistic leaders.
@007CTHULHU007 Foreign policy only makes sense when one's house is in order. We send millions of dollars, billions of dollars each year in foreign aide to other countries, when those foreign aide contributions are in reality nothing more than corporate welfare for the subsidization of corporate goods. Further feeding the corporatist socialism in the USA, and exporting it around the world. Meanwhile there are poor folks living in hovels in our own country. Have you ever read 1984?
@intricatic All events must be taken into account. Liberals causing a financial crisis which is the real cause of the 08 collapse after Frank and his liberals took over Congress aside..foreign policy MUST be taken care of to protect our interests and the interests of the world to not go into a anarchist state leading to WW III which is what would happen under an isolationist FP. You are a moron..."Corporate Socialism"? Do you just make shit up out of your head...of COURSE you do you're a FOOL.
@intricatic Yes I have read it and seen the movies of 1984. Liberalism/socialism is leading us towards this. NOT CAPITALISM. Capitalism is a FREE market where anyone CAN if they TRY make it. How far they make it depends on the person, but that's the beauty of this system which is unlike Marxist ideologies such as Communism and Socialism. The poor folk live rather nice here. They have T.V.s...homes for the most part..they are FAT...we have no starving masses as PRIVATE organizations take care of.
@007CTHULHU007 Hey, cool the burners, dude. I'm on your side here and know exactly where you're coming from. I'm pure capitalist, all the way. I just see the R's and the D's as one in the same - because, historically speaking, they do the same sort of things time and again. I'm centrist, minarchist, libertarian. Ain't got no left leanings except in social issues, which I prefer total deregulation, decriminalization, and deinstitutionalization. Reduction of government 200 fold.
@intricatic Libertarian...Libertarians make sense most of the time when not supporting Ron Paul.
Liberal Democrats(most especially Progressive liberal democrats) are little more than socialists. The GOP has it's problems with some RINO's that need to be removed, but otherwise the True Conservative GOP is the way to go. Obama cannot be reelected no matter if there is a quasi-RINO in office like Romney instead of Newt, Cain, or Perry. You speak of drugs? Decriminalization? In the way of ...
@007CTHULHU007 Also, what's wrong with drugs? If banks are in reality not too big to fail, shouldn't people be able to make their own stupid decisions and learn from the consequences? This, coming from a person who has learned from similar consequences, without state interference. I will never understand the prohibitionist bent. It's just a strange concept, like war against an abstraction. Personally, I declare war against showers and bathtubs. They're more likely to kill you than terror.
@intricatic I see not much wrong with Marijuana as it was demonized under Carter falsely. Hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin should be destroyed utterly. I've lost most of my childhood friends to cocaine(in crack form). It turned them into DOGS that would steal from their own mothers if possible to get more of the crap. Crack generally takes ONE time as I have witnessed for someone to want more and be hooked.
Hard drugs are a big HELL NO..as hard drugs only have a single choice.
..after which you are either hooked or desiring more and if more is acquired ...HOOKED.
Hard drugs DO destroy lives. I would make the coca plant extinct if it were up to me. Decisions become not yours, but whatever hard drug you are on. It made my friends SUBHUMAN TRASH and ruined their entire lives. To this day those fools still go seeking their crack or cocaine every week or every day as far as I know. They have no choice of their own that they can implement with free will.
@intricatic Some things are Common Sense. Marijuana is not physically addictive and is not nearly as harmful as I was lied to in school about. Yes..lied to. The lying never helps. They did tell the truth about hard drugs, however. They destroy lives and families. It's a simple fact of life. They still choose...at least the first time..to make the mistake of trying hard drugs, but then they have in effect already screwed their selves.
@007CTHULHU007 Addiction is grossly overrated. I've been there, done that. It's nowhere near as overwhelming as mental health advocates would claim. People do have a choice, even in addiction. Caffeine, on the other hand, is damn near impossible to stop using.
@intricatic Addiction to what? I've "been there" with something in particular myself and it was a living HELL. I know well about addiction. VERY well....
Hard drugs have no place aside from medical uses in a sane society.
Caffeine? Nicotine? Those are nothing. Nothing at all to quit. Someone that complains about a "caffeine" addiction would make me wish to throttle them. I've experience the fire, burning, the near insanity of withdrawal. Not something I'm proud of nor would I ...
....nor would I wish it upon my worst enemy...well maybe my worst enemy, but no one much deserves to feel the nightmare that WD's from addiction can cause. Nor the feeling of helplessness and thinking you will never be able to function without a particular drug again in your life. Addiction is not overrated. Not to hard drugs. Marijuana is only psychologically addictive and the little things we ingest legally(caffeine) have NOTHING on the physical WD's of other true hard drugs.
@intricatic I know what it FEELS like to be addicted to a hard drug. I know how it feels to come off of a hard drug after 2 years. There is zero comparison. Sorry. People cannot be trusted to use hard drugs properly if there is ever a real "properly". It simply does this...DESTROYS LIVES. Hiding behind hard drugs escaping reality will catch up to anyone one way or another. You likely have no idea what these situations can be like to say it's "grossly overrated". I certainly do.
@007CTHULHU007 My experience with methamphetamine, amphetamine, and hydromorphone disagrees with your experience. Which is correct? People who use these drugs, moreover, are rarely unaware of the consequences and consequent risk of dependency that might stem from their habitual use. They, also, will use them if and when they wish to do so - regardless of laws forbidding it. It's equally a personal decision to get clean - the state doesn't do that for people, they do it themselves.
@intricatic I'm not going to detail my personal life. My total experience with things..especially coming off of and losing friends to crack cocaine that always started with snorting..tells me I am perfectly correct. No one can be fully aware of the pain I went through without experiencing it. It's insanity causing and family destroying. That's just the way it is. A shifting of resources from useless Marijuana arrests to fully hard drugs could bring a great difference.
@intricatic I was NEVER on crack. I was lured into legal things like certain dried pods. If you don't know don't ask. There is NOTHING to compare to coming off of those little nightmares. You are not talking to some kid. There IS a reason hard drugs are illegal. Mostly cultural and phobic responses have made marijuana illegal.
Personal decisions are taken by certain hard drugs. This is a fact. Fear can and does overwhelm people. Fear of living without it. I've seen it and felt it.
@007CTHULHU007 When I was addicted to hydromorphone - a pain medication generally accepted to be 10x more potent than morphine - the withdrawal lasted a total of six hours following prolonged daily usage for four months. Nicotine, on the other hand, is much more difficult to kick, yet I have no desire to do so. Nicotine doesn't impair my ability to function. Neither does amphetamine, for that matter, though I gave that one up due to the impracticality of post-high lethargy.
@intricatic I don't believe that. Or you have a low concept of WD's. I know what opioid WD's are like. The particular type I experienced lasted over a month. Better after 2 weeks, but still a NIGHTMARE. A Living Hell is exactly a perfect accursed description of it. I do hope you never fall in and feel that feeling, but the way you talk you could easily. I thought as you did. Even after a warning early on with mild WD's after just 1-2 months. I was WRONG...and so are you. Alas.
@intricatic Comparing cigarettes which I smoke to opioid WD's is like comparing a steam bath to a dip in a volcano. If I could have quite as easily and with as little pathetic WD's as cigarettes I would have been in utter bliss by comparison. There is no lie here. I do not lie. If you ever get bad on an opioid you remember what the Hell I say now. You will then KNOW as I do.You will understand why some things are best left OUT of easy reach. Oh yes indeed. I'm done with this subject.
@007CTHULHU007 I'm absolutely sure that the amount of opiates I've been privy to take on a daily basis, for months on end, have been sufficient to show me the extent of opiate withdrawal. Nicotine withdrawal actually does freakish things to my perception - as in constant confusion, irritation because of that confusion, anger at not understanding speech, etc... for weeks on end, while opiates just made pain slightly less bearable, and made me irritable for a day, tops.
You do not know the extent of opioid WD's. Do an online search and read some of the forums of people trying to get of this shit. Opioid WD's fell like you are actually DYING. Your skin BURNS your head races you sweat you cramp you cry you whine you scream sometimes. It is absolute HELL. I KNOW don't tell me I fucking don't. Reminding myself of it is even disturbing. I'm done with this accursed subject. Perhaps you will curse yourself like I did out of ignorance sometime and KNOW.
@007CTHULHU007 You say that like I don't already know it. While taking vicodins heavily, WD's - short in duration, though they were - resulted in nasty rashes across huge portions of skin, and severe mood swings for no good reason. Hydromorphone was the next step I took since it's much lighter for the histamine problem. Hell of a lot more potent, though.
@intricatic You have no idea. Read a history book. I'm done with the bad memories of virtual Hell. Do no respond to me. You are to me a talking head that doesn't know what it's defending and you will always be so if you continue saying the same things. There are so many illogical fallacies in the argument for hard drug use it's pathetic. You would have a nation of MILLIONS of addicts if too many others thought as you. Millions that would have to take their drug or go through Hellish WD's.
@007CTHULHU007 I've actually devoted a lot of time and effort (years, many books, many logical exercises) to identifying and rebutting logical fallacies. Of which am I guilty for committing? People who understand drugs and chose not to use them, do not make the choice because of laws, necessarily, but because of the personal consequences of health and addiction. All government does is confiscate the property of people they afflict with criminal records for making bad choices.
@007CTHULHU007 Continued.... (All government does is confiscate [the] property of [the very] people they afflict with criminal records [thus adding a severe imposition on their ability to seek employment, housing, loans, etc...] for making bad choices [and the attendant personal consequences for their own health, and the consequences of addiction that result from such choices]. Government is a terrible solution to that problem.
@007CTHULHU007 [continued from...] All government does is confiscate property [from the very] people they afflict with criminal records [thus adding a severe imposition on their access to employment, housing, loans, etc...] for making bad choices [and the attendant personal consequences for their health, and the consequences of addiction that result from such choices]. Government is a terrible solution to the problem of drug use. It makes middle-class folks feel good. That's it.
@007CTHULHU007 Also, I've found meth and amp to be harder to kick than opiates because, as I said prior, amp and meth coincide with your ability to remain functional in any way when you're coming down from them. You have no motivation. You fall into lethargy. You get angry because you can't feel any other emotion. Then it dissipates and you're back to normal in a day, maybe two for the total reboot. The psychological side takes longer; a week maybe to get over the god complex.
@007CTHULHU007 And after saying that; I still don't think the government has any moral ground to stand on to arrest and criminalize users, or dealers of hard drugs, any more than for pot. People make choices. They aren't always rational. Yet, if they make good choices about moderating their drug usage, they can essentially avoid the consequential addiction of harder use. Personally, I'm more worried about people's addiction to authority and fossil fuels than I am about drugs.
@007CTHULHU007 I don't think you have any ground to stand on in that argument, either. You know your experience, I know mine. I don't view my experience as a universal norm for everyone, but I also don't think it's rational to ban things I had a bad experience with - even one as damning as hard drug addiction can become. It's never been an effective method to keep people away from the drugs. All it does is further destroy lives that are already headed in that direction.
Making hard drugs legal would have us in a similar state as the early 20th century with legions of the addicted through "cough medicine", laudanum, and cocaine.
HawkeyeSteam, you can't expand your mind with meth. You can certainly destroy your heart, however. I get tired of hearing that EXCUSE.
People use drugs to dull reality and that's ok..as long as the drug doesn't kill you or destroy your life, or you become a walking zombie.
@007CTHULHU007 What if the user wants the drug to kill them or destroy their life? It's a personal choice. And as I was not alive during the period you speak of, I can only say that I distrust commentary on it as I've found journalists to be an untrustworthy lot of demagogues who have an ideological goal to sell the reader. Right now, the people who would use such drugs were they legal are still using such drugs, just covertly. It's the way of the world. People do what they will.
@intricatic The old argument. Tired old argument of personal choice.
What I used wasn't legally used. It's overlooked to my past horror. I do not care if you believe or not. I know what I felt. I know how other hard drugs are. Crack turned most of my old friends into felons and thieves. It was there "choice" to start with, but later on it was a highly INFLUENCED "choice" if choice at all that made them destroy their lives, waste their money, and steal from others even friends.
@intricatic I watched them dig through the carpet looking for "crumbs" when they ran out and watched one EX-friend spend about $15,000 in a little over a week.WASTED on crack. Now he's a diabetic crackhead that has no life. As are a couple other EX-friends from my youth. Young people don't "get it".Personal choice ends at a point in society or culture. Should people have the "personal choice" to murder? Rape? Steal? THAT is the way of the world. If on a desert island yes,but here no.
@007CTHULHU007 Murder, rape and theft are violations of the liberty of someone else. Of course that shouldn't be legal. But putting a substance into your body with your own hands and by your own will? That's irrational, no matter how you look at it. Especially since the people doing it now will continue doing it later. And we'll give them a nice new criminal record for their pain. I bet that'll help get them to quit - nothing like abject poverty to make you clean, is there?
...marijuana I couldn't agree more. As for hard drugs those are they drugs that should take the full onslaught of Law Enforcement. Jimmy Carter is the one that made Marijuana into a "Gateway Drug". If there is any "Gateway Drug" it's alcohol. This I agree with. Many cops agree with this as well, because when wthey bust someone for pot they aren't beating their wife or violent usually. This is not the case with Legal alcohol. There are a multitude of reasons for my views on that, but it is not...
....not a important matter currently. The most important matter currently is un-electing this sack of shite that calls it's self our president that so desires to destroy what this country is and was meant to be.
@intricatic I know it's horrible in Europe. Europe did not follow in our path. Europe followed it's own ideas which unfortunately did not exclude Socialism. It is why the economies of European countries are dying right now. I would rather shoot myself than live under the "Thought Police" and Nanny socialism of Europe.
These protesters over here do NOT be fool, however are little more than exactly what you have in government over there in many places. They are not legitimate protesters no.
@007CTHULHU007 We have the same nanny state and thought police as Europe does, but it's our own brand of it. Just look up at the next stoplight and see how many cameras are trained on you. Check out what standards the FDA is placing on the food you eat and the corporations that produce it - and further, check into which corporations actually support that regulation of their industry. The question is: why do they support it? It's socialism in disguise. Both sides are fascist anymore.
@intricatic No we don't. Not yet. Obama would have it so. The stoplight camera's are for traffic monitoring and are not common throughout this country. When they start putting them up on street corners or down neighborhoods you will have to worry and cry...and others will have to act. That isn't going to happen with Conservatives in power. That WILL happen with liberal/socialists in power. You are a class warfare putz that doesn't know what he/she is even talking about..corporate socialism..LOL.
@007CTHULHU007 Also, stoplight cameras are a huge racket in some states (such as mine). There are at least three different cameras at each intersection. You have the right to face your accuser in trial; can't do that if your accuser is a machine. But recall; Bush is responsible for the Patriot Act, and conservatives are trying to pass internet censorship laws - as are liberals, which is the tragic irony of both parties.
@intricatic We have stoplight cameras here for traffic monitoring. The day they start using camera's like the British use in their cities is the day those camera's start disappearing or being sniped from a distance IN MASS. Not that I'm saying I would do such a thing.I would simple approve of it if all other recourse had been tried to stop such an intrusion.
I have no problem with the Patriot Act as it was intended for Terrorists not just any criminal. It has not been used for "normal" criminals.
@intricatic As for the internet censorship laws I know about what they are trying to do. Any true Conservative GOP members that support it need to think again. I do not support SOPA. It would be allow action without prosecution to online websites and even possibly people that just "sing" a song copyrighted by someone. Entire websites COULD be shut down for their just one item of content. It would stop all file exchanges. We would in effect have laws similar to China for internet if they pass it.
..so yes I am against the SOPA internet censorship bill and they better now pass the damn thing. I don't think Tea Party Republicans will like it in the House. We shall see..after the call ins especially.
Liberals in control of such legislation would be nightmarish. Some in the GOP no doubt are trying to see it in a good light of protection. Liberals are viewing it as more POWER over the people. Liberals/socialists disgust me constantly with their egotistical stupidity and power hunger.
@007CTHULHU007 The Patriot Act is used by domestic law enforcement all the time. They have their own policies to implement some of the expanded powers already. Unless you forget, the term "terrorist" can be applied to any group at will - such as NRA members, or Libertarians, or animal rights activists, or anti-war demonstrators, or Bible study groups. All of the examples have been targets of law enforcement using Patriot Act policies, as the historical record clearly demonstrates.
@intricatic When you have proof of it's use in non-terrorist cases let me know.
Terrorist has a very distinct definition and if liberals EVER tried to widen it ..it would not be tolerated. It would be ALL OVER the liberal news media and on FOX and Conservative Radio if it was or has been abused on NON-terrorist suspects.
@intricatic You have FUNDAMENTAL lack of knowledge of reality in this country. Liberalism is not liberalism anymore. Liberalism in the United States is SOCIALISM. This election coming in 2012 is Socialism vs. Freedom/Conservatism. That's what it comes down to. If you are too ignorant and caught up in moronic class warfare that the leftest bastards pump you full of every day, then I almost pity you. You have no concept of the REAL problems we face now. The liberal/socialist ideology must die out.
Once upon a time, chairman of the middle kingdom said that, "A Revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery; it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another." Good day!
yup I agree... Politics was designed too divide!! Their should be no Left/Right... End the damn Fed already!!! Get a nice high powered long rifle, and vote from the roof tops!!
When the money is issued it must belong ( to be credited not debited ) to the citizens, who do accept it for their work and not to the FED ( the print shop) which does nothing. When this is stopped all issues and crises are solved.
2:28 - what's the problem Gingrich & Santorum? Why the shaking of the head & hand gestures? Because the man is simply speaking the truth? Gonna call him crazy, and a conspiracy nut too? To be a politician you have to be allergic to truth lol. RON PAUL 2012! Although I don't believe in Ron Paul saving our country, he is the wisest choice. If anythings going to change it's going to come from us, the ppl. We need to remind the powers that be that we are the governing body, not them.
Youu are not going to solve this crisis in a national way, the problem is global and can only be solved on a global level. Sure I agree that Mr Pauls alternative is better than the current. But it is simply not enough. Our future economy has to be based on resources not currency. How is the climate crisis, the food crisis, the oil crisis and so on gonna be solved with "real" capitalism? Please explain that to me
@Goodalfred2 "How is the climate crisis, the food crisis, the oil crisis and so on gonna be solved with "real" capitalism? Please explain that to me" Capitalism has never existed in it's true, FREE MARKET form. From the very beginning, capitalism has been corrupted in America. If we TRULY had a free market, problems would find themselves solved... The function of true capitalism IS to solve problems... Up until now, it's only been used to make the rich richer by buying the government.

Folks were in for the long haul. It's gonna be unprecedented. We are going to force the creation of a legitimate governing method to end the corporate control of government policy for private gain. We the people will govern the corporations. The individual investors of corporate entitites already have their individual rights like we the rest of us. Your money should buy you swimming pools and large houses not access to taxpayers input into federal coffers. Make your money the old fashioned way!
A third party, or just a whole bunch of independents that the Occupy movement help put forward. People who have never been in office before. They could all rally behind Ron Paul.
If Ron Paul gets in, he will need people in congress and senate to vote for the thigns he wants. he can't do it with the same people who have already been bought and paid for.
Just run. Even if you don't have a campaign fund you can get a facebook community going in your area.
@cleanhomer That's because the problem is not class welfare or class warfare, it's a system that is run by corporations and some shadow people destroying the liberty of u.s , Ron Paul is not a marxist neither has anything against rich people if these are harmless, he believes in liberty and private `property, hes the kind of guy that will die for the right of someone else to say something he doesn't like, he's a principist a guy beyond selfishness.
its Time for the third party because neo republicans and liberals are working for the 1% and ignoring the 99% of the ppls ,the neo cons are traitors covered by the american flag they don't give a shit abt the pple nor this country all they do is make enemies, start wars so they can sell their weapons so they can make a lots of profits.they don't go to wars but they create them.pple it is time to wake up
It is nice to see libertarians and progressives coming together, although it is not surprising? After all, how could any freedom loving citizen be in favor of corporatism and imperial wars? The divide between the two usually arises with respect to social services - pension, health care, welfare, education, etc. I think Ron Paul would be willing to compromise and have a real chance at victory if he assured people that ending corporatism is first on action list, and their benefits won't be touched
You all have no idea what danger you are in, and what lay ahead. This merely covers the surface. "Behind the Kings throne lay something bigger than itself".
vote for ourselves fuck money if you love to build, sew, hunt, grow food, helping ppl[doctors],and science [things that wount hurt us] come together do it for the love we all wanted to be somebody when we was young cus we loved it.vote for ourselves vote for ourselves spread the world lets come together vote for ourselves, vote forourselves.soon or later protesting will become rioting cus nothing is being done and ppl are still starving and loseing jobs vote for ourselves
what happens when we end corporatism. I still dont believe in "american libertarianism". i am a leftist, a marxist, a socialist. to have replaced this one world govt project with a libertarian one is of no interest to me. I want a society that is BY LAW dominated by universal ideals like solidarity, respect, love. Remember the 30s in spain when communists and anrachists took arms together against Franco for a spanish republic. What happened after? they couldnt tolerate each other.
@alhabbo You are certainly right when you say that libertarians and Marxists couldn't tolerate each other. For me, I can't tolerate someone wanting to take other peoples money so other can use it for their benefit. But if we get rid of corporatism and the Federal Reserve, then we would both be able to fight for a more pure version of what we believe is right. In fact I believe we could afford a higher level of social welfare if we had a more pure free-market approach to running businesses.
@alhabbo They may not have been able to tolerate each other afterwards, but they knew that only combined could they beat Franco, it's the same in America, it's always a 2 horse race and the lobbyists make sure it stays that way, in America it's so bad that your president is decided by the way one state in particular votes, that's how sewn up they have it.
TRUTH TRUTH TRUTH TRUTH to POWER!!! Party lines don't mean a thing! Vote your conscience! Even better do some research, a good amount of research, don't cut corners, then vote with your rationality. TRUTH TRUTH TRUTH TRUTH to POWER!!!
"We're looking at a corporate media who is extremely threatened by what's going on. The protestors on, you know, on Occupy Wall Street are now entering the tenth day; an what you're seeing is really inchoate rage against the economic issues created by the overweening corporatism of the government, and it threatens all of them" - Jane Hamsher
IF YOU WANT RON PAUL TO WIN, you better fix the electronic voting machines like GEORGE BUSH did, because most of AMERICA isstill asleep,,zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I'm not familiar with your org and Chomsky is a very shifty character (see his support of Faurisson, for example), but your video is excellent and your conclusion is exactly right. Corporatism is the classic marriage of government and corporations, developed in the 20th century by fascism, Nazism, and communism. Corporatism is the fundamental problem and the root of globalization, and both groups of protesters, Tea Party and the Occupy participants, can combine on that, the most central issue.
Technology has united humanity...or has the ability...to unite humanity via communication such as the net and social sites. Maintaining a neutral-positive mindset and determination, this generation can finally make LIVING on this planet enjoyable FOR everyone.
Occupy Wall St. is about being "mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore" Howard Beal Network. We've all seen the rant and we know exactly how he feels. Should I Pay my hydro or buy food for my family? Should I struggle for a pay cheque that might not come b4 my Company goes Bankrupt. These are valid concerns that more and more of us have to ask ourselves. Yet Corporate supporters seem quite happy to paint us as left wing nuts. What's nuts about homelessness, hunger and fear? stand up USA.
Thanks to your Republican ruled upper and lower houses over the past few years you've reverted back to the wild west. Conservatives aren't supposed to allow that to happen. Where's Barry Goldwater when you need him. At least you still have the clear thinking and level headed Ron Paul to steer you back on course. Only problem is the folks who hold the purse strings can't allow him to move forward. They can't afford it. Call it a cliche but Democracy is not for sale. Nor is the USA.
Yours is a nation of laws that apparently only a few have to abide by. Remember the savings and loan Rip Off and then the Financial ripoff. When will enough be enough. You drafted legislation at the end of the Great Depression to make it Impossible for another disaster like that to occur then you allowed you Government to repeal most of those same safe guards nearly 60 years later. "seemed like a good idea at the time" and now you once again wonder how this could happen. DUH...
To understand the happenings of today we must study the past. This study begins with Rothschild. After taking control England's central bank they are quoted with saying it matters not who makes the laws as long as I control the money supply. You'll encounter Andrew Jackson, Lincoln and Russian czar Alexander, Bolshevik revolution, Garfield, Wilson, and you'll encounter Warburg, Rockefeller, eugenics, Nazi's,. Bush, De Beers, Heinz, Du Pont, Morgan, + other well known names. Enlightening trip....
I live in Canada and from outside of the fishbowl it appears that the only thing United about the United States Of America is your name.
United you stand divided you fall doesn't anyone remember that. You are only as strong as your weakest link and right about now your coming apart at the seams. Stop allowing hatred and racist rhetoric blind you to the real problem. Yours is a nation tightly in the grip of Gamblers. They don't own it You all Do, take back your land air and water. Be that beacon
@daveglover66 I hope you see the efforts of the American People, We have been blinded by the media far to long and we are trying to get our country back!
@steveon91 The whole world Is watching. We in Canada have the benefit of past Governments that didn't just follow in step. We've managed to keep control of our financial institutions but it hasn't been easy. It's simply the right thing to do. You can do it. Occupy wall St. needs clarity in the message. You need to break down this myth that it's nothing but stoners and unemployed lefty nutters. Look at the real face of America and ask yourself What can I do,How can I help,Is real change possible?

@cleanhomer that is a rather sweeping statement and it can't possibly include everyone in America. I agree that as in most countries the citizens really don't concern themselves as much as they should about politics. I think that stems from a combination of laziness and trust that the government is working on their behalf. I like many have recently woken up and have done some research. Its frighteneing what the people are up against but I believe people united have more power than they realise.
sharonmyk 2 months ago
Question: if the majority of the people believe that a power exclusive to the States would be better suited to be given to the Federal, or both, as long as this power shift wouldn't be tyrannical to even a minority of the people, shouldn't Congress take up their power to legislate & pass an Amendment to legalize that newfound Federal power?
After all, it is a gov't of, by, and for the people, isn't it?
cleanhomer 2 months ago

If people unite not even big goverment and huge business can stop whats happening.
sharonmyk 2 months ago
@sharonmyk The world ALWAYS changes, that's nothing new (I don't know why you brought that up...), but the real reason gov't is out of control is because we the people lost our grip on what is supposed to be our responsibility, our gov't. We spent the latter part of the past century being moved more by pretty faces & charming smiles, as well as intoxicated every drug, legal or not, instead of wise & trusted representatives.

Liberalism/socialism is the main concern for freedom and economic prosperity right now. With a Conservative Senate, House, and Presidency this country can finally begin to heal from the liberal democrat(Frank) induced 08 crash and Obama's nightmare.

Malaca314 3 months ago
Calling him an isolationist, which would suggest an ignorence of history and common sense. If I am a school boy and there is another group of boys whom i don't like for whatever reason, and I, without provocation of any kind, I decide I am going to go hit them with a baseball bat, because i think that sometime in the future they might pose a threat to me, even though i am several years older and physically much stronger then they. Would this course of action be considered acceptable o justified
Malaca314 3 months ago
Ok so if Ron Paul is an "isolationist", than what term would you use for the policies of the soviet union and china, when foreign trade was completly cut off and entering or leaving the country required government permission. How can not wanting to be engeged in wars of agression be considered "isolationism". "Non-interventionism" is actually a very befitting term if you examine the policy that he is espousing. Why would an isolationist be such a staunch advocate for free trade and open markets?

Everything is collectivized and the economy is regimented.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic You know....the problem doesn't exist in the contest of these "protesters". These "protesters" are MARXISTS, COMMUNISTS, Liberals/socialists, and Union asshats. Mostly Marxists, however. They are protesting Capitalism is what they are protesting.
Ron Paul is crazy as a shithouse rat when it comes to foreign policy. "stand with the rest of AUSTRIAN school..."? That's nice. They do not stand here well. I'm sure you are living in 1984 in Europe. Blame your socialistic leaders.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 Foreign policy only makes sense when one's house is in order. We send millions of dollars, billions of dollars each year in foreign aide to other countries, when those foreign aide contributions are in reality nothing more than corporate welfare for the subsidization of corporate goods. Further feeding the corporatist socialism in the USA, and exporting it around the world. Meanwhile there are poor folks living in hovels in our own country. Have you ever read 1984?
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic All events must be taken into account. Liberals causing a financial crisis which is the real cause of the 08 collapse after Frank and his liberals took over Congress aside..foreign policy MUST be taken care of to protect our interests and the interests of the world to not go into a anarchist state leading to WW III which is what would happen under an isolationist FP. You are a moron..."Corporate Socialism"? Do you just make shit up out of your head...of COURSE you do you're a FOOL.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago

007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 Also, what's wrong with drugs? If banks are in reality not too big to fail, shouldn't people be able to make their own stupid decisions and learn from the consequences? This, coming from a person who has learned from similar consequences, without state interference. I will never understand the prohibitionist bent. It's just a strange concept, like war against an abstraction. Personally, I declare war against showers and bathtubs. They're more likely to kill you than terror.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic I see not much wrong with Marijuana as it was demonized under Carter falsely. Hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin should be destroyed utterly. I've lost most of my childhood friends to cocaine(in crack form). It turned them into DOGS that would steal from their own mothers if possible to get more of the crap. Crack generally takes ONE time as I have witnessed for someone to want more and be hooked.
Hard drugs are a big HELL NO..as hard drugs only have a single choice.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
..after which you are either hooked or desiring more and if more is acquired ...HOOKED.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@intricatic Some things are Common Sense. Marijuana is not physically addictive and is not nearly as harmful as I was lied to in school about. Yes..lied to. The lying never helps. They did tell the truth about hard drugs, however. They destroy lives and families. It's a simple fact of life. They still choose...at least the first time..to make the mistake of trying hard drugs, but then they have in effect already screwed their selves.
I do not want a nation of crack or Heroin heads.

@007CTHULHU007 Addiction is grossly overrated. I've been there, done that. It's nowhere near as overwhelming as mental health advocates would claim. People do have a choice, even in addiction. Caffeine, on the other hand, is damn near impossible to stop using.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic Addiction to what? I've "been there" with something in particular myself and it was a living HELL. I know well about addiction. VERY well....
Hard drugs have no place aside from medical uses in a sane society.
Caffeine? Nicotine? Those are nothing. Nothing at all to quit. Someone that complains about a "caffeine" addiction would make me wish to throttle them. I've experience the fire, burning, the near insanity of withdrawal. Not something I'm proud of nor would I ...
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
....nor would I wish it upon my worst enemy...well maybe my worst enemy, but no one much deserves to feel the nightmare that WD's from addiction can cause.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@intricatic I know what it FEELS like to be addicted to a hard drug. I know how it feels to come off of a hard drug after 2 years. There is zero comparison. Sorry. People cannot be trusted to use hard drugs properly if there is ever a real "properly". It simply does this...DESTROYS LIVES. Hiding behind hard drugs escaping reality will catch up to anyone one way or another. You likely have no idea what these situations can be like to say it's "grossly overrated". I certainly do.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 My experience with methamphetamine, amphetamine, and hydromorphone disagrees with your experience. Which is correct? People who use these drugs, moreover, are rarely unaware of the consequences and consequent risk of dependency that might stem from their habitual use. They, also, will use them if and when they wish to do so - regardless of laws forbidding it. It's equally a personal decision to get clean - the state doesn't do that for people, they do it themselves.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic I'm not going to detail my personal life. My total experience with things..especially coming off of and losing friends to crack cocaine that always started with snorting..tells me I am perfectly correct. No one can be fully aware of the pain I went through without experiencing it. It's insanity causing and family destroying. That's just the way it is. A shifting of resources from useless Marijuana arrests to fully hard drugs could bring a great difference.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@intricatic I was NEVER on crack. I was lured into legal things like certain dried pods. If you don't know don't ask. There is NOTHING to compare to coming off of those little nightmares. You are not talking to some kid. There IS a reason hard drugs are illegal. Mostly cultural and phobic responses have made marijuana illegal.
Personal decisions are taken by certain hard drugs. This is a fact. Fear can and does overwhelm people. Fear of living without it. I've seen it and felt it.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 When I was addicted to hydromorphone - a pain medication generally accepted to be 10x more potent than morphine - the withdrawal lasted a total of six hours following prolonged daily usage for four months. Nicotine, on the other hand, is much more difficult to kick, yet I have no desire to do so. Nicotine doesn't impair my ability to function. Neither does amphetamine, for that matter, though I gave that one up due to the impracticality of post-high lethargy.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic I don't believe that. Or you have a low concept of WD's. I know what opioid WD's are like. The particular type I experienced lasted over a month. Better after 2 weeks, but still a NIGHTMARE. A Living Hell is exactly a perfect accursed description of it. I do hope you never fall in and feel that feeling, but the way you talk you could easily. I thought as you did. Even after a warning early on with mild WD's after just 1-2 months. I was WRONG...and so are you. Alas.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago

Nicotine withdrawal actually does freakish things to my perception - as in constant confusion, irritation because of that confusion, anger at not understanding speech, etc... for weeks on end, while opiates just made pain slightly less bearable, and made me irritable for a day, tops.
intricatic 3 months ago
You do not know the extent of opioid WD's. Do an online search and read some of the forums of people trying to get of this shit. Opioid WD's fell like you are actually DYING. Your skin BURNS your head races you sweat you cramp you cry you whine you scream sometimes. It is absolute HELL. I KNOW don't tell me I fucking don't. Reminding myself of it is even disturbing. I'm done with this accursed subject. Perhaps you will curse yourself like I did out of ignorance sometime and KNOW.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 You say that like I don't already know it. While taking vicodins heavily, WD's - short in duration, though they were - resulted in nasty rashes across huge portions of skin, and severe mood swings for no good reason. Hydromorphone was the next step I took since it's much lighter for the histamine problem. Hell of a lot more potent, though.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic You have no idea. Read a history book. I'm done with the bad memories of virtual Hell. Do no respond to me. You are to me a talking head that doesn't know what it's defending and you will always be so if you continue saying the same things. There are so many illogical fallacies in the argument for hard drug use it's pathetic. You would have a nation of MILLIONS of addicts if too many others thought as you. Millions that would have to take their drug or go through Hellish WD's.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 I've actually devoted a lot of time and effort (years, many books, many logical exercises) to identifying and rebutting logical fallacies. Of which am I guilty for committing? People who understand drugs and chose not to use them, do not make the choice because of laws, necessarily, but because of the personal consequences of health and addiction. All government does is confiscate the property of people they afflict with criminal records for making bad choices.

@007CTHULHU007 Continued.... (All government does is confiscate [the] property of [the very] people they afflict with criminal records [thus adding a severe imposition on their ability to seek employment, housing, loans, etc...] for making bad choices [and the attendant personal consequences for their own health, and the consequences of addiction that result from such choices]. intricatic 3 months ago
The psychological side takes longer; a week maybe to get over the god complex.
intricatic 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 And after saying that; I still don't think the government has any moral ground to stand on to arrest and criminalize users, or dealers of hard drugs, any more than for pot. People make choices. They aren't always rational. Yet, if they make good choices about moderating their drug usage, they can essentially avoid the consequential addiction of harder use. Personally, I'm more worried about people's addiction to authority and fossil fuels than I am about drugs.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic People make choices. To kill. To murder. To rape. To rob. To beat. Should it be legal? NO.
End of this pointless argument. You do not know what you defend. I do.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 I don't think you have any ground to stand on in that argument, either. You know your experience, I know mine. I don't view my experience as a universal norm for everyone, but I also don't think it's rational to ban things I had a bad experience with - even one as damning as hard drug addiction can become. It's never been an effective method to keep people away from the drugs. All it does is further destroy lives that are already headed in that direction.
intricatic 3 months ago
Making hard drugs legal would have us in a similar state as the early 20th century with legions of the addicted through "cough medicine", laudanum, and cocaine.
HawkeyeSteam, you can't expand your mind with meth. You can certainly destroy your heart, however. I get tired of hearing that EXCUSE.
People use drugs to dull reality and that's ok..as long as the drug doesn't kill you or destroy your life, or you become a walking zombie.
Legalization of hard drugs? NO. Period.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 What if the user wants the drug to kill them or destroy their life? It's a personal choice. And as I was not alive during the period you speak of, I can only say that I distrust commentary on it as I've found journalists to be an untrustworthy lot of demagogues who have an ideological goal to sell the reader. Right now, the people who would use such drugs were they legal are still using such drugs, just covertly. It's the way of the world. People do what they will.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic The old argument. Tired old argument of personal choice.
What I used wasn't legally used. It's overlooked to my past horror. I do not care if you believe or not. I know what I felt. I know how other hard drugs are. Crack turned most of my old friends into felons and thieves. It was there "choice" to start with, but later on it was a highly INFLUENCED "choice" if choice at all that made them destroy their lives, waste their money, and steal from others even friends.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@intricatic I watched them dig through the carpet looking for "crumbs" when they ran out and watched one EX-friend spend about $15,000 in a little over a week.WASTED on crack. Now he's a diabetic crackhead that has no life. As are a couple other EX-friends from my youth. Young people don't "get it".Personal choice ends at a point in society or culture. Should people have the "personal choice" to murder? Rape? Steal? THAT is the way of the world. If on a desert island yes,but here no.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 Murder, rape and theft are violations of the liberty of someone else. Of course that shouldn't be legal. But putting a substance into your body with your own hands and by your own will? That's irrational, no matter how you look at it. Especially since the people doing it now will continue doing it later. And we'll give them a nice new criminal record for their pain. I bet that'll help get them to quit - nothing like abject poverty to make you clean, is there?
intricatic 3 months ago
...marijuana I couldn't agree more.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
....not a important matter currently.

007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 We have the same nanny state and thought police as Europe does, but it's our own brand of it. Just look up at the next stoplight and see how many cameras are trained on you. Check out what standards the FDA is placing on the food you eat and the corporations that produce it - and further, check into which corporations actually support that regulation of their industry. The question is: why do they support it? It's socialism in disguise. Both sides are fascist anymore.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic No we don't. Not yet. Obama would have it so. The stoplight camera's are for traffic monitoring and are not common throughout this country. When they start putting them up on street corners or down neighborhoods you will have to worry and cry...and others will have to act. That isn't going to happen with Conservatives in power. That WILL happen with liberal/socialists in power. You are a class warfare putz that doesn't know what he/she is even talking about..corporate socialism..LOL.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@007CTHULHU007 Also, stoplight cameras are a huge racket in some states (such as mine). There are at least three different cameras at each intersection. You have the right to face your accuser in trial; can't do that if your accuser is a machine. But recall; Bush is responsible for the Patriot Act, and conservatives are trying to pass internet censorship laws - as are liberals, which is the tragic irony of both parties.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic We have stoplight cameras here for traffic monitoring. The day they start using camera's like the British use in their cities is the day those camera's start disappearing or being sniped from a distance IN MASS. Not that I'm saying I would do such a thing.I would simple approve of it if all other recourse had been tried to stop such an intrusion.
I have no problem with the Patriot Act as it was intended for Terrorists not just any criminal. It has not been used for "normal" criminals.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@intricatic As for the internet censorship laws I know about what they are trying to do. Any true Conservative GOP members that support it need to think again. I do not support SOPA. It would be allow action without prosecution to online websites and even possibly people that just "sing" a song copyrighted by someone. Entire websites COULD be shut down for their just one item of content. It would stop all file exchanges. We would in effect have laws similar to China for internet if they pass it.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
..so yes I am against the SOPA internet censorship bill and they better now pass the damn thing.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago

@007CTHULHU007 The Patriot Act is used by domestic law enforcement all the time. They have their own policies to implement some of the expanded powers already. Unless you forget, the term "terrorist" can be applied to any group at will - such as NRA members, or Libertarians, or animal rights activists, or anti-war demonstrators, or Bible study groups. All of the examples have been targets of law enforcement using Patriot Act policies, as the historical record clearly demonstrates.
intricatic 3 months ago
@intricatic When you have proof of it's use in non-terrorist cases let me know.
Terrorist has a very distinct definition and if liberals EVER tried to widen it ..it would not be tolerated. It would be ALL OVER the liberal news media and on FOX and Conservative Radio if it was or has been abused on NON-terrorist suspects.
007CTHULHU007 3 months ago
@intricatic You have FUNDAMENTAL lack of knowledge of reality in this country. Liberalism is not liberalism anymore. Liberalism in the United States is SOCIALISM. This election coming in 2012 is Socialism vs. Freedom/Conservatism. That's what it comes down to. If you are too ignorant and caught up in moronic class warfare that the leftest bastards pump you full of every day, then I almost pity you. You have no concept of the REAL problems we face now.

If we TRULY had a free market, problems would find themselves solved... The function of true capitalism IS to solve problems... Up until now, it's only been used to make the rich richer by buying the government.

If Ron Paul gets in, he will need people in congress and senate to vote for the thigns he wants. he can't do it with the same people who have already been bought and paid for.
Just run. Even if you don't have a campaign fund you can get a facebook community going in your area.

It is nice to see libertarians and progressives coming together, although it is not surprising? After all, how could any freedom loving citizen be in favor of corporatism and imperial wars? The divide between the two usually arises with respect to social services - pension, health care, welfare, education, etc. I think Ron Paul would be willing to compromise and have a real chance at victory if he assured people that ending corporatism is first on action list, and their benefits won't be touched

what happens when we end corporatism. What happened after? they couldnt tolerate each other.
alhabbo 4 months ago
@alhabbo You are certainly right when you say that libertarians and Marxists couldn't tolerate each other. For me, I can't tolerate someone wanting to take other peoples money so other can use it for their benefit. But if we get rid of corporatism and the Federal Reserve, then we would both be able to fight for a more pure version of what we believe is right. In fact I believe we could afford a higher level of social welfare if we had a more pure free-market approach to running businesses.
talkinternet4 4 months ago
@alhabbo They may not have been able to tolerate each other afterwards, but they knew that only combined could they beat Franco, it's the same in America, it's always a 2 horse race and the lobbyists make sure it stays that way, in America it's so bad that your president is decided by the way one state in particular votes, that's how sewn up they have it.
