This is a superb song, one of their best. It should have been a single in the UK as it would have been a huge hit during the band's purple patch when everything they released turned to gold. Their is a video for the song on a compilation from 1988.
T'pau were a great band who should have lasted longer, but the public moved on by 1991 and that was it really. A reunion seems very unlikey but would be great.
I love T'pau! Carol Decker is my second favorite red head. This song takes me right back to the summer of 1988. I listened to the Bridge of Spies tape until it wore out. I've bought the CD twice. I can't find my latest copy. Maybe someone in my house doesn't like it as much as I do...
As a matter of interest, the bridge of the song title is the Glienike Bridge in Berlin. It straddled the demarcation line that separated the Soviet from the Western Zones of occupation. It was there that exchanges of captured spies and agents used to take place. Soviet dead from the battle of Berlin (1945) were also repatriated there with full military honours being observed by both sides.
That's way how to perfect sing!

she has the ability to make her vocal tracks sound over dubbed - it's spooky. Even when she sings live it sounds like a choir singing the chorus.
I can't think of many singers who do this.
