I try to follow Christianity's principles and Jesus' teachings. However, Genesis and all that stuff I however do not believe, since ALL the evidence of this world point to a different history and I just don't think God would make the world seem different than it is-deceive us-LIE to us (like making us see things that took place billions years ago-which according to Genesis shouldn't ever had happened).

I will check out Ben Stein's movie, I never intended otherwise. Although Christian friends , who know that I won't pay him for the experience, will have to lend me a copy.
It will contain the same tired reworking of Paley's watchmaker analogy and bogus testimony from creationists in the scientific world who feel victimised, and doctored shots of scientist looking stumped when asked "what started the big bang?" I believe in evolution because I've read the bible ....it's obvious to me it was written by ignorant, flawed bronze age men. althe historical/archaelogical evidence backs that up - in Spades! How can nothing create something or can you give me an example of an evolutionary process that increases the information in the DNA. Mutations, beneficial or not cannot add information to the genome and that is a requirement for evolution.
I also suggest the book entitled I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist by Norm Giesler.
