  • Wow.

  • Wait. George Carlin was once a young fuck?

  • he doesnt even need his beard to be awesome. eat your heart out chuck norris

  • A clean cut Carlin?

  • Hey, thanks for uploading this!

  • 4 people were guys with beads. GET OUT OF LINE!!

  • @theatlantisrise dangerously liberal media?Youre aware that george was a liberal himself right?i wouldnt say the media is "liberal" so much as spineless.

  • Those 4 people jumped into the gorge. Lol

  • Can you imagine what minority lobbies and the dangerously liberal media would say about this today? George was a hero.

  • 1:15

Is it just me or that exactly like Paulie from The Sopranos

  • I'm offensive and I find this very indian.

  • Way back when, George. Fresh, funny and fantastic even then. This is his embryonic beginning......look at it....it's him; and he's a natural. Delivery, material, articulation and timing---lovely genius of humor. He knew people then and all the way home...

  • way younger and still as funny as his later stuff, he is a true comedian legend

  • You notice he's already letting his hair grow a bit at the back?

  • holy crap tht looks nothing like him when he gets older.......daamn

  • I'm Cherokee and this is funny

  • one in a million

  • Damn, he looked good!

  • OMG a suit? OMG dark hair? OMG he can't say anything real?

HEY! Did you notice that this bit was done 43 damn years ago? You're all irreverent towards the memory of George Carlin and you're all stupid, juvenile MORONS.

  • @GlowMyBoat I just hink it is nice to see George when he is young. He talks about this part of his life later on. It is interesting to actually see it. No matter how old or how much it wasn't like George as he was when he got older. This is George. As he said in one of hs bits, you are every age you ever were, you never stop being 2 for example. This was him at one time. I love him no matter what.

  • Are you sure that's not George H. Bush ?

  • @mrgeorge457d -- oh gross! dont insult this brilliant brave man! yuck. bush is garbage!

  • Whoa - was Tommy drunk?

  • i hate to say but this is not funny, he acts like he's not allowed to say anything real

  • This was awesome

  • that does not look like george carlin lol

  • He looks so much like Russell Crowe.

  • HES STILL FUNNY WAY BACK THEN LOLOLOO

  • omg! A suit....and short hair. How odd, lol

  • remember watching this w/ my brother and it was funny ...then

  • soo im native american.. and i DO NOT find this offensive most

natives would be pissed! but i Love this guy!! :D

    R>I>P

  • exacty 40 years before he died, and he never got boring. hilarious through and through. id say RIP, but as he said on several occasions, he's not resting at all, he's worm food

  • HES CLEAN SHAVED! OH MAN IT CREEPS ME OUT. I MISS HIS COMIC STYLE REGARDLESS.

  • he has no beard :O

  • he kinda resembles Mel Brooks here, in every way.

  • has anybody noticed how un PC this is for a so called progressive

  • This is the perfect answer to those who might think Carlin can't be funny without the use of the "F" word or any cuss words. Thank you so much for posting. Can't get enough of Carlin ;-)

  • even though this wasn't really his true self it was still funny for regular humor. Especially for something in the 60's

  • GEORGE CARLIN WAS THE BEST!

  • people like george carlin redress the balance between the deluded and misguided people in society....they see it as it is....basic common sense which makes us look at ourselves....tap in Pat condell....he speaks nothing but basic common sense nobody in Britain will cross swords with him....could you imagine these two being world leaders!!!....wouldn't that be something....tap in mormons...or fitna... and see the other side of the coin...and choose.

  • he makes you think, even with a comedy like this...

  • I wonder what he thought of himself as a young kid when he got older. I bet he didn't like the suit and tie. And i bet the hair made him cringe .

  • @DreamsCatcher101

If you listen to Class Clown, you'll hear about George's years in Catholic school. His self examination surrounding his Irish Catholic upbringing and various 'institutions' within the church and his opinions of them. Very funny stuff! Enjoy!

  • "Tool Time."

  • To me it's really creepy seeing George as an old man just before death, because I remember him so well from THIS period....

  • I love his voice!!!!!

  • @fuddes what do you mean "with hair"? That's the least amount of hair on him ever.

  • @crocswsocks I think they're just referring to his balding.

  • It must have been awkward for him wearing a suit.

  • @enzoalec92 That was in his early years. At some point he realized that this "wasn't him."

  • @kingslice75 Yeah man exactly. That's why I was saying that it must have been awkward for him to do so. I find that his losing-of the suit is symbolic of him shedding popular "low-standard" comedy and going on to do his own thing instead. Great stuff, he did.

  • i love him

  • whats up with the guy on the right? you can look that the left guys gets annoyed

  • Just fantastic...he has been updating his humor throughout the years...always hitting the spot.

  • to anyone wondering why he's so clean in this one....it's broadcast television in the 60's, swearing/etc. wasn't really an option.

  • wow, this is the youngest i've seen him. He has brown hair!!!!

  • @wolfmoon555 If you look, you can find a YT clip of Carlin doing his JFK impression on the Tonight Show in 1962. At the time, critics said George did the 2nd best JFK impersonation, after Vaughn Meader.

  • I own 3 records with this on it...and don't own a damn record player!!! Thank you for posting!!!

  • its strange to imagine what i didnt exist at 1968. but life keep going without you

  • guy on right looks like george bush

  • I love george carlin, he's one of my (and for a lot of others) inspirations. Thanks for posting this video fuddes!

  • my jizz, he had to be a sell out for sometime

  • @Just8eatit that's not fair

  • @Just8eatit : That reminds me, gotta do the laundry today. ;]

  • wow.... look at 'im....

  • If you read Carlin's book "Last Words" he tells that this was the cusp of his change. He regrets not doing more political or edgy humor for the Smothers.

  • dont you mean george carlin withOUT hair?

  • wasnt sure if it was him at first, then heard the voise and the facial expression and i knew lmao

  • Wow...hes young..

  • why is he so clean? never seen him that clean before.

  • you should read LAST WORDS, it's a great book...it explains his change into the GEORGE we all knew when he died...

  • That was before, when he lived his so called "Dream of danny K". It;s the clean, mainstream, people pleasing comedian who makes it in the movies and becomes a big mainstream success. That was his dream up until somewhere in the 70's when he realized his place in comedy.

  • @TranslucentPlenum He didn't start being dirty until the 70's.

  • @TranslucentPlenum He sort of woke up at some point and realized that this wasn't who he was.

  • kind of looks like Phil Hartman

  • George looks so different here. Sorry for stating the obvious but I'm not used to this.

  • it's really creepy seeing a young Carlin and hearing the same voice

  • @Sorcoral

I agree. A 42 year old vid, and he still sounds the same unlike the typical senior citizen's voice.

  • @Sorcoral i agree haha

  • @Sorcoral lol

  • @Sorcoral realy creepy

  • @Sorcoral Truthfully, this is before he found his true voice.

  • He looked like a young Roger Moore when he was younger.

  • The introduction with the two guys is painfully akward.

  • kristin. its all intentional. its whey they are funny. and it is basically what theyre entire act is about.

  • Good to know, they sure fooled me :).

  • indeed. they were pretty good.

  • That's the Smothers Brothers. Akward but outspoken was their thing. Brilliant show.

  • @kristin7858 The two guys were the Smothers Brothers. The way they were acting was there act. I used to watch the show when I was a kid. I was 8 when this show aired.

  • pretty good looking

  • hahahaha

  • Holy shit, 31-year-old clean-shaven Carlin!

  • Thank you for giving me the opportunity to see George's Indian Sergeant bit.

  • He's doing an Irish cop really.
