@theatlantisrise dangerously liberal media?Youre aware that george was a liberal himself right?i wouldnt say the media is "liberal" so much as spineless.
Way back when, George. Fresh, funny and fantastic even then. This is his embryonic beginning......look at it....it's him; and he's a natural. Delivery, material, articulation and timing---lovely genius of humor. He knew people then and all the way home...
OMG a suit? OMG dark hair? OMG he can't say anything real?
HEY! Did you notice that this bit was done 43 damn years ago? You're all irreverent towards the memory of George Carlin and you're all stupid, juvenile MORONS.
@GlowMyBoat I just hink it is nice to see George when he is young. He talks about this part of his life later on. It is interesting to actually see it. No matter how old or how much it wasn't like George as he was when he got older. This is George. As he said in one of hs bits, you are every age you ever were, you never stop being 2 for example. This was him at one time. I love him no matter what.
exacty 40 years before he died, and he never got boring. hilarious through and through. id say RIP, but as he said on several occasions, he's not resting at all, he's worm food
This is the perfect answer to those who might think Carlin can't be funny without the use of the "F" word or any cuss words. Thank you so much for posting. Can't get enough of Carlin ;-)
people like george carlin redress the balance between the deluded and misguided people in society....they see it as it is....basic common sense which makes us look at ourselves....tap in Pat condell....he speaks nothing but basic common sense nobody in Britain will cross swords with him....could you imagine these two being world leaders!!!....wouldn't that be something....tap in mormons...or fitna... and see the other side of the coin...and choose.
If you listen to Class Clown, you'll hear about George's years in Catholic school. His self examination surrounding his Irish Catholic upbringing and various 'institutions' within the church and his opinions of them. Very funny stuff! Enjoy!
@kingslice75 Yeah man exactly. That's why I was saying that it must have been awkward for him to do so. I find that his losing-of the suit is symbolic of him shedding popular "low-standard" comedy and going on to do his own thing instead. Great stuff, he did.
@wolfmoon555 If you look, you can find a YT clip of Carlin doing his JFK impression on the Tonight Show in 1962. At the time, critics said George did the 2nd best JFK impersonation, after Vaughn Meader.
If you read Carlin's book "Last Words" he tells that this was the cusp of his change. He regrets not doing more political or edgy humor for the Smothers.
That was before, when he lived his so called "Dream of danny K". It;s the clean, mainstream, people pleasing comedian who makes it in the movies and becomes a big mainstream success. That was his dream up until somewhere in the 70's when he realized his place in comedy.
@kristin7858 The two guys were the Smothers Brothers. The way they were acting was there act. I used to watch the show when I was a kid. I was 8 when this show aired.
