  • I started singing this in the hallway at school and when someone joined me I almost died of happiness!

  • He looks like David Copperfield the Illusionist

  • I first saw Alice Cooper at age 10 I then saw him at age 35 in Atlantic City I LOVE ALICE and trust me it wasnt easy for a 10 yr old girl to whine over and over to see Alice Cooper !

  • fabulous Alice Cooper :D

  • One beautiful piece of music.

  • He's kind of creepy in an odd way in this video.

  • I don't understand what people's issues are with his ballads, he is an awesome ballad witer! His ballads aren't sappy "How you gonna see me now" is a song to his wife about how he screwed up drinkig, "I never cry" is about how numb drinking made him. Those songs are powerful and just because they don't have that horror element to them doesn't make them any less Alice.

  • 1:20 OUTTA NOWHERE, JEFF LYNNE!

  • popularity and recognition he'd previously received when he was a true superstar, those of us alive and fans of his in those years never forgot or stopped appreciating the man or his music. He's done excellent work throughout the 90's until today, but today's youth looks for "singles" and doesn't tend to appreciate the album (CD) as a whole piece the way they used to decades past. So without a "Hit Single" a lot of really great work still goes unappreciated. At least they recognize his past. .

  • The 80's kids didn't know who Alice was. The new kids were digging the big-hair bands like Poison while older rockers were glad Van Halen & Guns and Roses had come out because the old rockers died off when Disco, Punk, Nu-Wave and Heavy Metal occupied a 5 year stretch. The musicians knew & loved Alice & his management got him linking songs with certain horror movies and the musicians were guest spotting on his albums. He worked his way back and though never achieving the popularity .......

  • Then Alice did Flush the fashion & went so far into his alcoholism that his next 3 albums he doesn't even remember recording or performing.A 3 year mental blank where he was manipulated by management & the worshipful quest to regain the stardom he'd lost.By 1983 he sobered up for good & worked on himself personally & trying to keep his family together. Shortly after he returned to Rock and roll. Not 70's style but an 80's style of rock which brought him back to a moderate level of success again.

  • Flush the fashion happened because FROM THE INSIDE a very personal album and my personal favorite wasn't a commercial success. Sales peaked with Welcome to my nightmare and Alice Cooper goes to hell. Lace and whiskey was a commercial failure and when the wonderful work that was "From the Inside" wasn't the success they wanted management panicked and pushed him in a new direction, pushed him to follow a fad just to make money. And then.....

  • If you were alive and a fan at the time you'd know this was the beginning of Alice's real demise. He was always good at ballads. How you gonna see me now was beautiful. But "Flush the fashion" was a not "just" complete departure from rock and an entrance to the new fad called nu-wave, it was also his head first dive into the most screwed up portion of his entire life. A complete downfall/breakdown it nearly killed him.

  • Whoa! I NEVER said that Alice's softer songs like "How You Gonna See Me Now" and "I Never Cry" were his worst. On the contrary! I applaud him for branching out, music wise. Look what Kiss did with the ballad "Beth", and the dance/rock "I Was Made For Loving You". I'm just saying those so used to hearing Kiss and Cooper's harder edged tracks were thrown for a loop, like I was when I first heard them. And the producer responsible for the softer side of Alice Cooper & Kiss? Bob Ezrin.

  • I love this freakin' song.

  • Was popular around the same era as Gary Neuman's "Cars", which has a similar future-esque theme.

  • @kelvisparsley64 i thought numan had recorded a version of this as well.

  • Alice Bowie.

  • @minimumpayne That's exactly what I tell people every time I hear this.

  • Love this era of Alice!!!!!

  • This is Alice Cooper back as the Alice Cooper we know & love! No sappy "How You Gonna See Me Now" & "You & Me", no weepy "I Never Cry", it's a shame that this song only squeaked into the Top 40 (#40), for it should have done better chart-wise. Still, one the best under-rated Cooper songs ever!!!

  • @menchitty11 I've always said, "We don't listen to Alice to hear ballads." But the whole 80's period was kind of sad. I like this song, but I'd like to hear him re record it as a metal song.

  • @Beatnikzombie I heard it played live in Rome a couple weeks ago and I immediately fell in love with this song. I admit I hadn't heard before. It sounded great and the day after I went out on the net to hear the original recording. I think it's one of his best pieces and meaningful yet simple songs.

  • @menchitty11 Totally agree!

  • @menchitty11 You're wrong. The songs you just listed are a huge part of the Alice we know and love. He has a ballad like that on every one of his albums and he is a great writer of emotional songs. How You Gonna See Me Now, written to his wife while he was in rehab. You n Me and I Never Cry are some of his best. If you have no appreciation for his ballads, then you dont really get the whole Alice package. You gotta have contrast and variation.

  • @menchitty11 WTF ?? FYI How you gonna see me now etc were written when Alice was in rehab there is nothing wrong with those songs. WAY AFTER Welcome to my Nightmare etc. Clones great as it was was just his way of breaking into the new wave sound in 1980. ALL his shows STILL feature all the as u put it "sappy ones"...........

  • @menchitty11 Hey I love those songs! T_T

  • @menchitty11 Everyone has a soft side, even Alice. I think it's awesome he isn't afraid to do what he feels.

  • @menchitty11 This was way after You & Me.

  • type in Alice Cooper... why Martina mcbride keep poping up? I came here for ALICE COOPER !! or i would have typed in MARTINA MCBRIDE ! gimme a break you tube.

  • :Q_______

  • fun fact Alice didn't actually write this song, David Carron did. But still nonetheless a kick ass song!

  • Something eternally cool about this unique rock pop tune/Yep Uncle Alice has a great songwriting talent!!

  • Alice, ahead of his time, as usual.

  • He looks like a freakin' skeleton. That said, it was pretty freaking awesome.

  • Wow, he looks so creepy in this. But I like it :D Alice is the master of music!

  • It's creepy how similar he looks to my high school friend in this one! It's such an addictive song, and of course it's the Coop! Thanks for the upload!

  • awsomeeee

  • esa cancion lo ponia mi vecino en su equipo cuando yo tenia 5 años de edad, y me parecia genial, por fin lo encontre31 años despues

  • buen video, buena rola, la mejor época de alicia cuper
