blackstarmist26 when the plane takes off, open your mouth and say ahh as if you're at the dentist. You don't have to keep your mouth very wide open, but just enough for the air to get through your ears. Do this until the plane is steady and isn't pointing up anymore. Thi always helps me. Once when I didn't do this, my ears turned red and hurt badly. I hope it works for you. :)
