@Viznel137 It sure is! Funny, I had this record for at least 5 years before I even played it never dreaming it sounded like this, it blew my mind and that was back in 1974. The flip side is just as good, I think, just my opinion.

bobby vee is one of my top favs too.i had the good fortune to meet him once and had a very pleasant conversation.i have a fairly complete vinyl catalog and there are some gems buried on the lp's.try"bobby tomorrow".

I notice that this is a David Gates composition, which sort of explains all the major7 chords. His voice doesn't really sound anything like Bobby Vee's but the song itself certainly utilizes the same rhythm as "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes" and "Letter From Betty."

"The Night Has A Thousand Eyes" I played this for nearly 40 years now and never connected the two, it does sound close!

"Night" was always a favorite of mine as a kid. It was only as an adult that I discovered a great little rocker called 'Someday' - great driving bass and a super strong vocal. I think Punish Her was on the flip(A) side, but Someday is the one I would program onmy oldies show.
