@TheFirstBloodyNation Actually, it's the quality of the microphone that is responsible for the poor sound quality, but thanks for putting your point so eloquently.
@alexQw33 - Thanks. I have a Flickr gallery at that you might be interested in. I have just uploaded some shots of the finished car, as well as the engine bay, and various states of the build process. Have a look. Also, I am driving this car to the Classic Le Mans race in 3 weeks time and will definitely be posting some video of that.
The car has the same aero screens as used on the original. You need goggles and a helmet or you get hit in the face with stones!
@scheese It's a Suffolk Sportcars replica. Very accurate and we're now in the troubleshooting phase, trying to fix a few noises, and to get the gearing right.
At the moment it has a top speed of about 120mph, which means it'll accelerate VERY quickly, but clearly that isn't right...

Is it a Proteus? I built one in 1989, bloody lovely machine, wish I still had it.

That is an amazingly beautiful car, sound is just perfect. The C and D type are the ones I like the most, perfect blend of curves and style.
The windshild seems to low to protect the driver, how do you manage to drive it fast??
Do you have pictures posted on another site.. I would love to see the engine bay.
Thanks for sharing amigo.
