First of all... I'm going to say this, again... this isn't a review it's a demonstration. Secondly, he didn't at any point say "I've seen the iPhone" Brandon has the iPhone, he uses it in his comparison videos all of the time, and from my experience with the iPhone (which is plenty) he's absolutely right about the proximity sensor. I've done exactly what he's done with the iPhone and it simply will not go off with the tip of your finger unless you place it solidly on the proximity sensor.

He simply made a statement that the Touch Pro 2's sensor was more sensitive than the iPhone... he at no point was subjective about which one was better.

no, I have a problem with his commentary. When he mention that the iphone needs a whole face to be able to detect he is obviously making a "mocking " statement. I doubt a tech savvy reviews would NOT know how the sensor works. No matter how insensitive the prox sensor is, the fact remains that it will "detect" no matter how small the object in front of it is (obviously needs to be bigger than the sensor opening which in this case your tiny penis won't do). As long as its in front of it.

You just made quite a leap there from 'pretty uninformed' to 'dumb shit' status in just a few sentences. There are dozens of types of proximity sensors and all of them work in very different fashions. Most of them sense a conical area, which is to say, depending on the distance, you might need a significantly larger area than the sensor itself in order for it to detect the interference. One would think you'd do at least a small bit of research before you type your garbage...

From what I've seen with the early photos they actually did a pretty good job with this one. Sprint and Verizon will both sport a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual-radios for both GSM and CDMA. They remove the front-facing camera because the USA doesn't support video calls... but from what I understand from Europeans, it's not a feature they like anyway as it clogs their networks.
