I agree with just about everything you said. These are frustrating times. The school is not the problem, it's the state of California. This state cannot spend its money adequately. There is no good reason why we have one of the top 10 largest economies on the world scale; and yet, we have the most severe budget cuts and fee increases at the same time.
These protests haven't done a damn thing in my opinion. All they do is deface our school. There needs to be a change in leadership in this state and a new attitude. I look in disgust when I worked hard to go to a prestigious university and then these idiots trash our campus and pull fire alarms. That's not how you send a message, it's not how you make change.

As a fellow UCD student, I completely agree, especially on your points of removing focus from police brutality (which is wrong in and of itself) and putting it on why there are protests, THE FEES ARE HELLA HIGH. Same great point on Katehi's position in all of this.
