  • the only martial art where you do not protect your head <3

  • viva mexico!

  • Aw...OMG is this realy a black belter players!?..with there moves they looks Like a Newbie..=.=

    They are nothing to japoy..8)

  • @rainzai2000 sparing you are not supposed to do the acrobatic kicks tkd is known for simple fast short motions is the key to winning a sparing match

  • wow, LOL Mexico went super duper holy shit, thats sad as fuck.

  • Too many dumn ass arrogant in youtube! why dont you fight one of the best tkdist! its like steping on busketball court without knowing how to shot and dribble the ball.. c'mmon ppl dont be so stupid now...

  • they are black belts and those kicks in competions are not that good and in competion when its easier to score to the body than it is scoring to the head since they cut there distance alot.

  • What is the color of there belts? Why they always use 45kick when they are kicking. why they don't try turning side kick ? & Why they dont hit there heads? why always in body shot

  • @janelovesJELW The black belt means your basic knowledge is complete, the use a lot of bodykicks cause the first round you try to learn the fighting tactics of your oponnent, they don't hit to the head cause you waste to much energy and strengh kicking high and must of this tournament are 3 or 4 fights with 3 rounds each one. So imagine 9 to 12 round of 2:30 minutes each one ;).

  • The point system is kind of fucked.... :S

  • Visit lupotkd.com and sign petition to get Olympic Tkd on U.S. TV. Let's show sponsors that 5 million practitioners in the U.S. woul watch

  • blue dude ripped off. back kick no points kick to the face no points what a joke.

  • of course a muay thai fighter would not win with wtf tkd rules just like a wtf fighter would not win against a muay thai fighter with muay thai rules. you have to respect each style for what they are. wtf is more about the sport than the martial art

  • @thirdseasons Sadly it is :( but that really depend of the school. In my school the sport combat is not so important cause must of the student does really want to learn how to fight in case they were attacked but it's still fun to compete and i love it.:D

  • This is the kinda tae kwon do i hate... the ones where nothing really happens

  • tkd is a very dynamic sport. executing those kicks, drains a lot of energy. because when you are kiking, you are using all the major muscles in your leg as well as the abdominals and the other stomach muscles. therefore its extremely harder than punching. so if there are people out there saying that its not impressive or muay thai is better or watever, then id like to see a top muay thai fighter or a top karate fighter try and beat these people in tae kwon do rules and techniques.

  • @thomasrul Try wrestling. Full-body movement, and working at 100% for most if not all of the 6 minutes.

  • i know ur supposed to kiap, but man stop trying to fish points,,,this is prob what puts me off sports taekwondo the most

  • why they didt put up their hand to protect themself???

  • May i know what happen to the score?

Isn't in the beginning the Red have kicked the Blue vest . Middle section turning kick. The impact can be heard. But why the judges did give the points?

    I am puzzled.

  • @xkelvinloh Ya I'm just as curious too.

  • combate marica

  • mexico vs their masters

  • I'm sorry but I didn't see what was so impressive. Were these guys truly the best in the world?

  • @mindahl well, first it's in tkd you can't ONLY hit with the foot (or punch) so it's not so easy as in other disciplines.

Also the hits have a minimum power required to be valid.

If you don't have experience with kicks you can hardly understand how powerful these fast hits are.

The match looks static because none of them takes the initiative, then again, in tkd the defender has many ways to counter an attack so you must be careful, especially if it's a tough match.

    hope this satisfies you ;)

  • do they kick to the head at all?

  • Yeah they do

  • well yeah i know ..but in this fight i didnt see any kicks to the head!

  • @serik60841 it's very difficult to get off on higher lvls like this. They do happen though lol just not every fight. They know to protect their heads so they usually leave few chances to get a hit on them.

  • @serik60841 this is the olympics. they just try to get as much points. i've tried getting kicked on my side by an average black belt without wearing any vests. that kick left a big bruise and it honestly hurt like hell. my friend's fingers broke because he misplaced his hand during a local tkd tournament. a kick to the head would be a KO so these people usually are ready to dodge any attempts. watch the tkd heavyweight class. they do more of those

  • they use to but this time the fighter is not really confident.

  • ok thanks I was confused because some of my frends tell me to look at the face others shoulders others armor and others feet..

  • err when u spar where do u look armor, feet, shoulder or face?

  • face

  • at least 4 more points to the mexican and 2 more to the sapin guy i saw the very first time i saw this video -.-'!

  • did chu men yu compete in that championship?

  • oh right thanks

  • can u not blok in TKD?

  • Comment removed

  • blocks are losing favor in favor of attacking strategies

  • shit i wanted the mexican 2 win well it wuz a good fight

  • VERY, VERY boring fight ... If I have to choose - I prefer to watch Shotokan fight - it's only boring :)

  • i reckon blue is superior

  • Why don't they use their hands?

  • other than for blocking and pushing off, they arent allowed to do anything with them

even so they should always keep their guard up

  • i agree with u, when my leg injury, i use my hand,.

  • BORINGGG!!

  • omg red guys shuuuut uuuuuup. and yeh stances are very long for sparring. usualy see short cuz u can launch a kick alot faster out of it

  • lol... The guy in the red Kicks Yells and then calls his own Points.. ha ha ha. Tard.

  • i can do it better mudah fuckass!!!

  • man,they're very good

  • these final contenders are even no match for my sister who is a blue belt .. ugliest kicks and fighting style .. fck i wish i could compete in this tournament .. i'd win using one leg to kick only.

  • hahahaha dude i wish you could step on the ring with any of this world class athletes...

  • haha such a dumbass. guillermo perez won the gold medal in the last olympic games. when your sister won at least a bronze olympic, you can talk, meanwhile STFU!!!

  • what the fuck,,lol whats up with their stance and kicks are horrible

  • and pads lol

  • 58 kg? dam thats too light

  • The first hit was blue not red, the judges are blind and deaf

  • this was 08 ass

  • LOL 2:07 ahahahah ASS

  • lol is this a champion? i could pwn him very fast like hell

  • then why don't you, oh because your no good and didn't go, thats why your sitting at your computer watching it. Ya thanks shut the fuck up.

  • totALLY NOT BORING

  • i am 17 years ol and 61kg :D

    and i can't do how they :D

  • this is a 58kg, u'd have to go to the next category

  • i think that the blue should have got 2 points for the kick to the face. How come there wasnt counted in that situation?

  • vamos ramos!!!

  • of course you can use punches, but its hard to get points for them

  • you mean it's possible?

  • taekwondo- the art of kicking

    so i am told.

  • Boring

  • This is great fight. The red one shows impact,so does the blue ojne.

  • using punches helps to get a close point to point scoring

  • Taekwondo - "Way of the HAND, and Foot" I thought.

  • It is but in tournaments you can only use your feet

  • hands (punches) are not forbidden in torso but noone really use them ...

  • Really I thought you could only use feet thanks for thr info.

  • punches are goot to get distance

  • ok, so competition TKD should be called just Tae... considering it doesns't use the hand (kwon), or at least rarely, and definately isin't an art (do), it's a sport... Tae Sport maybe... nothing like the traditional foot hand art..

  • Tae = Kick - Kwon = Punch - Do = Way of life.

  • i can see both are tense and both tend to bait hmm interesting

  • buen combate del español

    ¡¡¡¡vamos españaaaaaaa!!! XD

  • yeahh

    boyy

    i

    love

    tkd!!!!!

  • the uniform from mexico is insanely HUGE LMAO

  • no no.. i also think that theydon't fight good. I practiced TKD for 9 years (both styles) (i injured my leg and i cant do sports anymore) but i think that thay dont fight good enaugh for a final :|

  • poor scoring in that match good game tho

  • Chung = Azul

    Hung= Rojo

  • hmm want to see u against him:))

  • I think I saw the Spanish guy train today, he is quite good (obviously).

  • chung-hung (red-blue)

    charyeoy (attention)

    gyeongnyeh (bow)

    junbi (ready)

    sijak (start)

    kalio (stop)

    gyesok (continue)

i have experience too you know

  • i am one of the tae kwon do's player but still just the junior. i love tae kwon do. i think the chung(red)deserve to win because he always look very confidence and his turning kick is power while hung(blue)looks kinda freak out and scared. it's mean he don't have any confidence to win. when you sparring, you should have 80% confident and 20% focus and hardwork. my coach tell me that. i'm gonna teach you guys some words when you are in rings.

  • are they point sparing

  • yea haha that was a very funny fight. Mexico's uniform was too baggy and i think red over exagurrated the leg pain. He turned his back and lost a point. He kept looking at the judges to make sure he got his point.

  • Why is the red one always trying to confirm his kicks to the judges? I am sure that the judges can see perfectly ever since there are three watching them at different corners as well as the referee. And I dont thing that there meant to take into consideration what the compeditors think what was a point and what was not.

Not descriminating at all though, they both played great.

  • good match

  • Koyaanitsqatsi, if your leg/s get injured during any fight then you are highly likely to loose. Every punch, kick, graple and throw STARTS FROM THE GROUND UP. I'd like to see you try and hit someone with a bust leg.

They do have guards however generally if you block the opponent they will still score. The idea is to get out of the way or to counter. TKD is a mind game.

  • Sorry: KWON- Arm, punching:)

  • KOYAANITSQATSI!

Taekwondo means: "Path of the LEGS and arms". TAE- Leg, kicking ; TAE- Arm, punching ; Do- path, art.

Please if you comment on something do it correctly.

2., WTF has weaknesses, the major one is the lack of using the hands but I wouldn't say that it is sh*t....Fight a cross trained fighter who did wtf 4 years and did other styles eg. thai, kick-boxing, boxing....you will notice that those kicks are not that sh*t....And as far as I know the official ITF rules are "semi contact"...

  • mexico's skill is pathetic (no offense im mexican too ) and his uniform is huge it dosent allow him to move .... a push kick to the knee outch

  • Es un fenomeno.., pero pepon se lo fundia en el CAR, i lo han puteado tanto que e ha ido, EL MEJOR COMPETIDOR ESPAÑOL, PEPON, HA ABANDONADO EL CAR POR SU PROPIA VOLUNTAT, PORQUE POR MUCHO QUE GANE EL NACIONAL, I QUE SE COME A RAMOS EN EL CAR, LO PUTEAN, ESTA ARTO

  • juan antonio ramos el mejor

  • lols i he crying coz he got kicked, or coz he lost

  • I bet it's a mix between happy tears and painful tears, seeing as he won..

  • This is just sick, lucky red guy that he wasn't in a real fight...

Blue one owned him for sure... They should let blue continue kicking when red loses his balance like 3 times

    Osu!

  • people don't know anything about the world taekwondo federation and speak a lot of bullsh*ts

at a championship there are rules to be followed, then the competition is always like this video that you watched

at a normal training we learn punches, many defencive moves, tactics of self defense and kicks... it's a complete martial art

so, don't worry... if you get in trouble for any reason with a good taekwondo fighter, prepare yourself for more than championship kicks

  • wtf just su*ks, stf and itf are strong

  • If they suck then why is the only style recognised by the olympics?? I Dont expect a reply as you really cant!!

  • it is not recognised by being a strong or a weak style, its recognised by its number of students, you know , wtf has more students than any other tkd styles... but it still a useless piece of garbage sport

  • So Koyaan why do you look at this video if you dont rate or like TKD??? Its by the amount of members, thats a strange idea, 8million people world wide, members. Dont think there are that many olympic divers?? Do you, come on gimmie your next rubbish theory. Why people comment on things they have no knowledge of is beyond me, as they say the uneducated mind is a dangerous one. Not to mention Stupid!!

  • wtf is ridiculous it doesn't have any guard at all, so tell me:what if your legs are injured? what would you do then?,oh and by the way, taekwondo means "path of the arms and legs"so that means this is style is wrong.only a person who wants to train a sport and get healthy should do it but is not effective as a martial art. so dont keep saying sh*t

  • why do you think people are taught upper, inner, outer and lower blocks in wtf? Why do you think they are taught punches, palm strikes and elbow strikes in wtf?

get your facts straight before you comment

    fucktard

  • so where are all these techniques you mentioned, cause i'm not seing none of them. ok there can be those movements on the forms, but if you don't pratice them on the sparring you just don't learn how to use it. thats why i say tkd stf and itf can beat the hell outta you, but i can't say the same about wtf...

  • les-vale-verga

    que-tipo-de-patadas-hicieron

    el-chiste-esk-ellos

    estan-ahi-y-nosotro-no!

  • Guillermo Perez won

  • Sparring is mearly a sport. And sports have rules. Tkd in its entirety has blocks punches grapples, joint locks, and combinations of the sort. We are taught all that. If you are taught to kick, are you gonna do it in a boxing match? Uhhh...no.

  • yo. tkd is a sport. u see, tkd does hav rules and u should no. first of all, no kicks 2 low obviously(i mean by the b@lls). then you cant kick to the face. only head shots.

  • no block

    no punchs

    why they need hands?

and..why they wont use a yop chagi? ap chagi? naeryo chagi?

    they only knows bandall chagi??

    ;D

    WTF.....

  • Side kick haha you obviously know nothing about sparring. How can you do an offensive side kick in sparring. And your sill comment no blocks etc why you need legs in boxing then> No kicks. ass

  • Why do boxers need legs?? Think about what you say before saying doh ball

  • It is taking a BUNCH of chilren to do what MASTER and BLACK BELTS should be doing in TAEKWONDO. They are taking out the RUBBISH.

  • nice combat :)

  • What happend to the Block & Hands

  • In the sport version of taekwondo, they took out the traditional punches and blocks turning it from a martial art to a sport. I dont agree with this and everyone thinks this is real taekwondo.

  • fukin assholes.when i compete i don look at the fukin score board after every kik.panzy ass bitches fight to fight dont fukin consume yourself with the point board.

  • Good for you if you keep looking at the score board how can you fight that the way to lose.

  • well movie,i like it

  • good and exciting match.

  • freaken turks

  • omg Spain screams more then Jackie Chan xD

  • steven lopez -78kg

  • Juan Ramos is indeed veteran.. too emotional though but its worth it.. he is the Champ.. by the way did Chu Mu Yen played here..?!

  • hes good he lost the olympics though .. btw in which weight catagory does steven lopez fight

  • this is just a glorified game of tag. where you are allowed to use the feet as well.

  • please upload -62 male final and semifinal.

  • Is that spanish was Ramos? i heard he is a good fighter in TKD.

  • ramos is spanish stupid! spain vs mexico! dont you have eyes? and yes he is a good fighter he won world champ 2007 as you can see in this video! stupid!

  • So much violence, where is the love..........

  • well, to be fair he actually did say "is that spanish was ramos". so, you're the stupid, who obviously doesn't know how to read very well, and yes he has eyes..I think..and no, he isn't stupid..

  • obvisuly he dont know the english grammar very well. and obvisuly he asked if that is ramos.

  • Juan Antonio Ramos is a real veteran of this sport..

  • Yah he is great...
