@Aniasan One thing that helps me is to actually listen to soprano singers instead of mezzosopranos. Usually mezzos have a sort of heavieness in their upper range that is more difficult for me to do, which causes strain. Sometimes if you just listen to a singer that is able to do what you want to do, it is easier to copy it.

@MakingTheMetalBand Thanks for the consideration! If you decide to go through with it, I wouldn't worry about the cover being just OK. If anything, you shouldn't try to mimic Sharon, but rather add your own unique vocal spin to the song and I'm sure it'd sound great! :) I can also find other songs, I've already got a few in mind...
@sterketjerke I don't know if somebody like myself could ever be famous... but then maybe there are enough freethinker rebels for me to have an audience :)
@MakingTheMetalBand Don't sell yourself short, you definitely have a talented multi-faceted voice. I think with the proper musicians behind you and the right people promoting you you could actually do quite well. Remember also fame is a relative thing. You have over 1,000 subscribers on your channel, that is NOT a bad start.
@MakingTheMetalBand It's definitely a good start, i mean by ALL means improve your voice if that's what "you" feel you need to do. With proper practice and a bit of experience everything should come together. In all honesty, I have heard signed acts with singers that were not at your level. Keep trying, continue improving and as always, give us the opportunity to continue to hear what you're capable of.
