Older hardstyle is pretty boring. I went back and listened to some again and remembered why i wasnt that into it back then, there's almost nothing going on in a lot of the tracks and really annoying or dumb vox. All the new tracks have much more interesting sounds and feel like they fill up more space even if at times there is just a kick playing. Also, you'll notice the nu style kicks still have a reverse-like subbassline, turn up your bass. & i think the kicks are much harder than before too

And the reverse-like subbassline is definitely there. Well its there for the top producers =P. Thats why their kicks still sound the best!
