  • This is not real world . do a still shot at full res from both cameras and the 2.1 mp will be twice the size of the640 x 480 , how do you get this so wrong ?????

  • This video on Youtube is 480p, what you are showing here is the total recording region, not the resolution. That 480p camera could simply be moved back to give you the same picture as the 2.1MP video so this is pretty misleading. You should post a high def version of the video showing the same space/region to truly compare.

  • All well and good, of course the picture is much better but then you find out why nothing is free. If your Recording the video (which you should be) that HD video will make a 500gb Hard drive go down from weeks of capacity to just a few days and if it's a 4 camera DVR system you may get 4 weeks of regular recording but with HD cameras that will drop down to about 5 days. Its a good idea for certain situations, but it comes with a price.

  • 1600x1200 - it is 1.9 Mpixel, FullHD 1920x1080 is 2.1 Mpixel
