On 19 Nov 2011, I measured radiation in SAKABUTA park of Koriyama city, Fukushima pref. Japan. The monitorinig place is at the center of Koriyama city, 60 km from Fukushima Nuclear power plant. The monitor indicates 1.64 micro Sievert per hour in air at chest hight, 33.53 on the road side sand of the park.

The irony is, there is consensus among scientists in Japan and internationally, that the disaster in Fukushima was far more serious than originally reported, that meltdowns did occur, and that fallout contamination has reached far beyond the exclusion zone, into Tokyo and beyond. Even the Japanese govt has reported on this. (see Liamea's video response above). So, sadly, Cooney is the blind idiot in the minority. On 19 Nov 2011, I measured radiation in SAKABUTA park of Koriyama city, Fukushima pref. Japan. The monitorinig place is at the center of Koriyama city, 60 km from Fukushima Nuclear power plant. I find it hard to believe people are still attacking Cooney over this video. He made this video almost six months ago, and not to mention at a time when information provided wasn't entirely reliable, and was being incredibly overstated by foreign media.
Regardless of whether or not everything Cooney says here is accurate, get off his back. Seriously.

The irony is, there is consensus among scientists in Japan and internationally, that the disaster in Fukushima was far more serious than originally reported, that meltdowns did occur, and that fallout contamination has reached far beyond the exclusion zone, into Tokyo and beyond. Even the Japanese govt has reported on this. (see Liamea's video response above). So, sadly, Cooney is the blind idiot in the minority. Go to Fukushima, Cooney and see how well your sorry ignorance plays over there

Cooney is a tool - he and others like Daniel Kahl, who has a remarkably similar video, as if he was given talking points. During this time, the US State Dept was trying to get journalists to stop 'sensationalist' (truthful) reporting about the meltdowns. Why else would a guy who never posts videos suddenly post one about "panic" in Japan where people DONT panic? Cooney, is a failed comedian and a failed human.

The thing that I find funny, is how people who have never been to Japan, think they are experts and know exactly what is going on there. And they funniest part about it, is that everyone give them the highest rated comments, ha ha. Tokyo has very high readings - from citizen crowd-sourced monitoring networks. Many foods other than beef are increasingly found to be radioactive far south of Tokyo. It will only take one radioactive fish on Japan news to cause panic. We have not heard about that radioactive fish (yet). TEPCO, who owns Japan, are having credibility problems, to put it mildly.

im not here to argue or something, but damn its been almost 3 months since this video was post, and a few more days since the earthquake happened, and the "melt down" started.
At that moment (March 17), Cooney (who ACTUALLY lives in Japan) could only said Tokyo was fine, wich it was, compared to Fukushima or NE Japan. Now we know its not fine, because we obviously have a lot more infomation about it (tests, reports, samples, etc)
