  • Black Crowes...The most famous cover band.

  • What a voice!

  • This tune was composed by Dave Mason. back when he was in Traffic. ANYONE could do this to their success, not to diminish the Crowes.

  • que hombre tan sexy, me recuerda la musica de grand funk railroad

  • @ACDCADDICT dude the 90's produced some fine rock and roll whats wrong with you lol

  • The Crowes are one of my best bands and this is a good version but Grand Funk's kicks arse on this..just my opinion

  • i remember this when it originally aired. not too shabby!

  • they are great

  • 6 ppl got no class and no soul...

  • The best cover of this song hands down!! Rich is sick on that guitar

  • I think letterman really digged the Crowes, he had them on an awful lot! Something tells me they were feeling all right.

  • awesome shirt, Chris!!

  • Leading up to Amorica. This summer was the Crazy summer.Only thing that could fuck with the Crowes at this time was the Crowes.

  • Paul Ralston 'Life' in words

    facebook/pages

  • OK, but often times groups tend to over-do a song and seem to be trying to infuse more into it than is actually there. Just my opinion.

  • I love both the Joe Cocker and the Dave Mason versions of this song....but God Damn! This rocks. Hell yeah!

  • wicked voice n soul for this lil white fella<3

  • AWSOME BLACK CROWS

  • I love them on David Letterman. Great band.

  • This smells like weed

  • Has anyone mentioned this song is by Dave Mason?

  • Drew berrymore or joe cocker??????? Still the BOMB you go crows,,,,,

  • @bobek80 STFU if you dont like it go some place else

  • @petfireball Is she home son? Tell her I am coming...

  • I love how the stars are replaced by a pot leaf on chris' american flag shirt...this band fucking jams. love 'em

  • I think the lead vocal is slightly over done here. A little softer would have made it much stronger. Overall though, I love what the Crows did with this song.

  • @Bubek80 turn your hearing back up dude! That was a pretty cool version and I am sure that Mr. Cocker and anyone else that did that # would agree.

  • @pcburgh01 If this is good , what word u will use to describe Huey Lewis version?Same? Come on son, u must admit theese idiots are acting the art...

  • @Bubek80 im not your son. the crowes are awesome. go see 'em some time if you haven't already.

  • @Bubek80 Shouldnt call anyone a moron if you can't spell "these" or recognize" correctly, you dummy.

  • @Bubek80 Shouldnt call anyone a moron if you can't spell "these" or recognize" correctly, you dummy.

  • Hey guitar people, anybody know what model of Telecaster Rich Robinson is playing here?

  • @4rainbowed Its a Gibson non-reverse Firebird.

  • The Black Crowes always know how to cover a song by doing it perfectly as the original but with a distinct trademark of their own.....

  • they took it .....

  • amazing... they are out of their mind good! :)

  • I think he has my old nose. Why centre part? Really scary hair...Not a bad cover...could be bettah. Mo bettah ;)

  • I usually don't care for them too much, but this isn't so bad.. I mean, I still like Cocker's better, but that's just an opinion.. more people should do this song, because it's fuckin bad ass.

  • IS DAVE MASON´S SONG

  • Comment removed

  • that's an original Traffic song but Cocker's version is badass as well

  • Cocker's is classic and Traffic's is sublime, but Crowes hold their own on this one.

Black Crowes capture something that hasn't been seen or heard since the late 60s/early 70s.

  • god damn listen to that guitar!

  • Comment removed

  • i have to disagree. their tone is GREAT!

  • the guitars are what make this version the best!

  • The Rare Earth version is the best

  • Cocker's version is good but personally I like both Gladys Knights and David Ruffin's versions better than all of them.

  • Robinson may not do Cocker's tunes as well as he did; but Chris is just as good as Cocker any day!!!

  • LittleKeef, as people are telling you here, this is not a Cocker original (er.. does he do originals?).

  • the 90's would have sucked without The Crowes! mindblowing!

  • @AcDcAddict1

Sure they would have. Listened to the "Southern Rock and Whathaveyou" and it wasn't boring retro stuff but an eye-opener. "Mindblowing", to say it with Meatloaf, you took the words right out of my mouth.

  • Don't try to sing anything that Joe made big - especially off his first two albums - people can't help but compare you and you LOSE every time - this is a case in point

  • You don't get music do you...

  • Not everybody - just the black crowes - I made my living as a singer and musician in L.A. & Orange County, in Southern CA

( Local 7) singin' 5 nights a week for 12 years - from Knotts to Newport to West L.A. - only quit because of a change of heart - maybe I just don't get music....

  • I may have spoken out of turn there. Text is such a terrible way to talk to one another haha. I just mean the point is they're playing it and having fun why shouldn't they play it? But maybe I miss read your comment.

  • It might come as a surprise but I think Traffic (Dave Mason) first recorded this song. The Cocker version is actually a cover. I could be wrong though.

  • Eu prefiro a do Black Crowes mesmo

  • Nice, but Three Dog Night's version is the all time best!

  • Is not a Joe Cocker's classic... the original version was recorded by Traffic.

    BTW, great version!

  • yea!

  • loving the crowes here in kentucky,

never miss a show around here!!!!!!!

  • lexington

  • Can't get enough...!

  • i think this version is better...i love chris' vocal arrangement at the beginning

  • I love this. Being a fan of Cocker, the BC's, and Letterman I am surprised I didn't see this before. I just learned something new to do with my harmonica!

  • joe cockers version is still better

  • the black crowes totally blow his version away -- almost as good as the traffic original.

  • chris rocks it everytime best version of this song i wish this song was a single or somthin

  • Snap!

  • definitely a rendition from joe cockers' rendition.

  • definitely taken from Joe Cocker's version though.

  • actually a traffic classic (dave mason), covered by joe cocker and black crowes and what not.

  • ssssssmokin!!!
