All this is, is a cheap carbon copy of aliens vs predator without the predator which consisted of teenage scrubs havin it out in a Team Death match situation. Worst idea ever compared to the MMO version THE REAL Aliens vs Marines which was titled Aliens Online
They're going to have to explain a ton of stuff to make this even plausible.
Namely the atmosphere processor explosion which should have decimated the colony of Hadley's Hope. The explosion was nuclear so the site would be irradiated to shit. Also without the processor, you wouldn't be able to breathe
Also Hadley's Hope only had a population of just under 200. So add the xenomorphs killed in the film and then the xenos you'll be fighting, the enemy population just wouldn't add up.
@EldritchThing I agree with all of that. But at the end of the day it looks like we're going to be able to play a proper aliens and colonial marines game that is lovingly created by fans like us. It's not just strapped onto Predator game like before. I'm really looking forward to this! :)

I'm starting to get really annoyed with these game companies showing great trailers but making stupid mistakes with the actual product such as bad graphics non linear story and that crappy autosave nonsense where you have to get an account online in order to save the game! Then there is the always game of death need of requiring a patch to fix it cause it was rushed for cash!
@blameist Well i sounds like youre refering to the avp series but you have to admit they did pretty good with the marine campaign in all of the games and this is just the marine and only the marine so it should be easier to pull it off
Wasn't there some other Aliens game that was also supposed to be relaeased by Sega but was cancelled? Aliens Crucible I think it was and, was an RPG but of course was cancelled thanks to AVP 2010. Also, Sega might be waiting to release ACM when the Alien Prequel comes out, which would be pretty cool.
To judge the two Games is rediculous as there both different francies and the story line and species are different, making a sperate game from the AVP series is the way foward. Ther will deferntly be a follow up to AVP, but i think ACM will be hugh for the simple fact its the first of its generation coming to the 360 and ps3 since the early days on the ps1 which are classic in there own rites, but still this has too be my personaly favorate FPS game to look foward too this year.
@SuperGrantful .. I also hope they design the flame thrower to its natural sate from the Aliens film im tired of seeing adaption of a look like . It would be kool to see the posibility of the flame thrower and pulse rifle strapped together like on on bonus level or even an unlockable after completion of the Game . The possibilites are endless to what they could do with this game like Creating and personising your own character i.e camo & weaponry .

I hope they also dont make the mistake of doing what they did in AVP for the 360 and the Ps3 and have to wait round for the Pulse Rile , especially the Smart Gun the weapon should be made more avalible for use weather its the most powerful out of the rest of the selected weaponry , they have to make sure that ACM lives to the film's name and francise , m40 Granades , door welders & hicks shot gun . Bring on the bug hunt !

Another good point would be to suggest that i hope the Gameplay is more of a bug hunt than a walk though id hate to see it turn out like the AVP Game for the 360 & Ps3 i hope the challenge of LV426 is going to be more in depth and the story line darker and more to the films reputation . What im saying is the anticipation of this Game for the fans our self and how long and paicent weve been it better be worth the wait followed by a quicker sequal .
Id still rather see an AVP4 game. All they have to do is make every species over balance and get rid of the shit skins and swap them with classes like playing a PredAlien, Queen, Runner, warrior etc and far more killing feature for Alien like spit acid or spwn facehuggers.
Hows AVP and playing Alien boring? Some people would rather have blood and gore on their TV as Alien rather than watching 30hr of marines saying hello to a hive of eggs and getting face raped.

The planet didnt blow up. The explosion was the size of Nebraska, which would not be enough explosive power to blow up the planet Lv-426.
