Zhao Yun is probably the most underated warrior and the real deal in liu bei camp. He is the only guy that got to where he was not by connections or referrals. So this movie is based around Romance of the Three Kingdoms inserting a fictional character around non fictional characters right? Since I am a Dynasty Warriors fan and knw very much of the characters and events that took place would you recommend this movie to me for those who have watched it? @Cusemanmike In my opinion Red Cliff is way better and worth watching movie for a Dynasty Warriors fan, but get the 280min 2DVD of it, not the Western release which is a lot shorter than the Asian release. I've got the Asian release 2DVD of Red Cliff with English subtitles and its probably my favorite movie (I'm a longtime DW fan), but I don't know about Resurrection of the Dragon, this seems to be a cheaper movie and the actors are unknown to me (Red Cliff's actors are very famous in China).

ugh this is not a "rip off" of Red Cliff. A thousand movies could be made from The Three Kingdoms. So many battles so many heroes and villains. I have this on Blu-Ray it does not disappoint. I may be partial to it so much because I'm a huge fan of Andy Lau but def give this movie a chance very entertaining! But I also agree with Vitoq8y we want the story of Lubu!

I didn't like this movie because the costumes weren't even Han Dynasty uniforms. They were more like "Soldiers from hell!" Also because they added that retarded girl at the end. LAME.

Why do cantonese movies always have their actors eat like pigs in movies? Is it a cultural thing? I don't get it. You never see that from other Asian movies? Is it the dubbing? The first scene you see Zhuge Liang, you see him eating and slurping a bowl of rice like he's in a pig sty. Then Andy Lau throughout the entire movie is stuffing his face and slurping his food. Looks interesting, but if I want to see a more historical aspect, I'd prefer Red Cliff. Haven't seen both, but Red Cliff, based on the trailer, doesn't include too much high impact action.

Just bought this and 2 other movies , I have Red Cliff and An Empress and a Warrior coming from hong kong ( thankyou ebay ) looks brilliant and Maggoe Q is always good value -)

Why do cantonese movies always have their actors eat like pigs in movies? Is it a cultural thing? I don't get it. You never see that from other Asian movies? Is it the dubbing? The first scene you see Zhuge Liang, you see him eating and slurping a bowl of rice like he's in a pig sty. Then Andy Lau throughout the entire movie is stuffing his face and slurping his food. It's disgusting. Can someone please explain this?
