  • How about a patient's bill of responsibilities requiring some friggin exercise and a modestly healthy diet? Oh yeah, 99% of Americans wouldn't qualify.

  • @thereinliestherib live how you want to live but stay the fuck out of my life and realize that it is a shell game that the govt has played for quite awhile. The medical industry is a for profit moel has failed and if govt truly cared, then would not have allowed jobs and money to be exported overseas. Bring medical costs down to where one can pay based on their income level without going broke and eliminate greedy health insureres restoring direct contact between patient and provider.

  • @shaithis80 The people going broke are the ones who put themselves in such a way by being lazy fucks. The most prevalent and most costly ailments plaguing HC costs in this country are nearly all related to idiotic, lazy, irresponsible health choices: diabetes, heart disease, and smoking related cancers. Time for the bum class to pay up or get out!

  • @thereinliestherib & I find it is the people that like to blame r the ones that are not interested in finding real solutions. So let's say you outlaw smoking, fast food, etc etc. Well you just cost people jobs & the state/fed govt alike a source of revenue so it is not going to work. So what has been done then to make the food chain much more healthier and fresher? Hey if that lazy fuck works, then let them live their life anyway they fucking want but don't blame the lazy for your problems.

  • @shaithis80 Bullshit. Poor health and exploding healthcare liabilities are an acute reason this country is bleeding jobs, due to high employment costs. The tax is justified because it's hitting two birds with one stone: developing a fair revenue source to offset the outcome of that target population's bad behavior, while also providing a disincentive to that behavior. There is no fucking reason some healthy kid should be forced to pay for the bypass of some fat idiot.

  • @thereinliestherib nah I think I'll call bullshit. Also I find it comical you prefer a Federal solution that tries to regulate inactivity of another which is what this argument is really all about. You also fail to address the real working world and actual cost of living for individuals. So what you are saying is you absolutely refuse to address skyrocketing medical costs and the fact that one use to pay in cash b4 insurers got invovled.I don't think you are explaining the real root causes

  • @thereinliestherib let's talk real world and what bad govt has brought upon us. You mean to tell me you are going to trust a malevolent govt that can't even balance a checkbook. Hmm what policies of U.S. govt caused the mass exodus of jobs and money. Me thinks the worker or the portly man was not to blame here. Also here is my message: Stay the fuck out of my pocketbook and don't tell me that I'll maintain a policy for life because it just doesn't work like that.

  • @thereinliestherib and I'll least have the opportunity of dying broke however you won't have any wealth of mine to take because I just don't play in the middle class or successful upper class all that much so there is not much that can reall affect me now is it. And when I'm gone I'm not going to give a shit who gets stuck with what expense either LOL. Bud, I live, work, eat, drink, fuck, exercise and just have fun. No retirement no nothing. Don't tell me how to spend my money. Thanks :)

  • @thereinliestherib & before you start dictating how you think it should be, I've worked in at least one part of the workforce that govt has turned a blind eye to all the abuses that go on & that industry is called trucking. Insurance has affected that industry & has kept a lot of good people from even advancing. So I call it like it is.Insurance has become a corrupted practice and as far as I'm concerned, govt has exceed their authority at the Federal level. Mandate is illegal and unrealistic.

  • @thereinliestherib you also don't coerce anyone into purchasing something they might not need or want under threat of taxation or fines as that is a sign of tyranny and unconstitutional govt and that deserves to be dealt with very very harshly assuming the SCOTUS upholds it. Get rid of the medical insurance scam and make it to where people are dealing directly with the hospital or provider. And if hospitals/providers are price gouging then I guess they deserve to go broke for doing bad business.

  • @thereinliestherib the fairest way to do this would be to charge a sliding scale based on a person's income that doesn't break them and where fees are reasonable and customary and one can just pay in cash for services rendered. Why am I paying a insurance provider again. Little secret, it was never about health insurance and for the record govt hasn't done much of the way in reforming anything. They are just looking for money because they are fucking broke.

  • @thereinliestherib and hey there are plenty of overweight people out there. So what of it. I'm even 100 pounds overweight but my secret to keeping a low BP and low cholesterol level. Biking. So don't go fucking judging someone based on their appearance asswipe. There are some that get that depressed and just gain weight. Perhaps had govt actually worked for the public instead of being so self serving, we'd be in a utopia by now.

  • @thereinliestherib there is no cost shifting going on whatsoever. People r broke and others r not. Don't blame your poor economic decisions on someone else. It is not our fault u can't manage your own finances & I find ur just chasing after things that r not there. The fat person across the street is not contributing to your problem. ur just finding an unrealistic scapegoat for your own mistakes. Not going to fly in a free country. Fuck with the individual and suffer the consequences:)

  • @thereinliestherib hey did you know that some companies don't even offer heatlh insurance LOL. Perfectly legit especially for smaller companies. And I have a to agree that it is better to pay people $20/hr rather then let a company supply benefits and that would be one hell of start in the right direction but it just doesn't work like that. And needlees to say some people do like to live a little better when they make more and they've earned that right motherfucker.

  • @thereinliestherib the for profit and healt insurance models have truly failed especially when you still put a price on the health insurance racket. The more you pay the better the coverage?????? BULLSHIT!!!!! FUCKING CAPTIALIST OUT OF CONTROL BULLSHIT!!!! REMOVE THE FUCKING HEALTH INSURERS AND LET THE PROVIDERS/HOSPITALS THAT HAVE OVERCHARGED GO FUCKING BROKE. NO MORE LIFELINES AND BRING THOSE SALARIES AND RATES CRASHING DOWN YOU FUCKING GREEDY PIECE OF SHIT!!!!

  • @thereinliestherib better yet you want evreryone paying into the system. Well we have done that with Social Security and Medicare. Hey I want my fucking money back that I might never see again you sick psycho fuck! Sorry I give enough to the Federal/State/Local govts in terms of taxes directly and indirectly. If the govt has lived beyond its means then that is not my problem. You best address other natoinal concerns before requireing someone to purchase healthcare or be fined asswipe.

  • @thereinliestherib when I think of property taxes, gas taxes, sales taxes, new car taxes, having to maintain auto insurance because I have no fucking choice in the matter, cell phone, internet, cost of food inflated due to higher transportation costs, apartment rent going up, utilities (water, electric, gas), you actually fucking think I'm going to go out & buy a fucking expensive or watered down health insurance policy tomorrow.Sorry I have a right to live comfortably and have fun you sick fuck.

  • @thereinliestherib try explaining your bullshit and warped ideals to someone scraping by and saving their money due to constant uncertainly or fear of being unemployed at any given time because companies were trying to cut costs using temp labor. You are lucky if you can even get paid enough in unemployment to sustain basic living expenses. That is the reality of today and why the mandate just wouldn't work and I disagreem with this bad govt that even tries to regulate inactivity.

  • @shaithis80 Calm down. Believe it or not, I'm in the same shitpot as you, and many others. But one simply cannot ignore that the universal lack of personal responsibility is what's driving unemployment by driving up US employments costs. And yes, people can leech off the system with virtual impugnity--I see it EVERYWHERE, DAILY (because I am myself poor). I could show you two dozen people I know who do nothing but lie, cheat, leech and steal, and you'd still call them economic "victims".

  • @thereinliestherib the thing is at this point whatever happens happens and I'll continue to go about my daily activities. Great you can show me two dozen. Let's start with DC and those that are overpaid for not doing their jobs. At the same time there are many in the trucking industry that will exploit the worker for personal gain. Been there done that. And none of it gets solved. However I don't trust a govt that doesn't have sense enough to manage its finances or demands more in taxes.

  • @thereinliestherib you chose to blame people in poor health. Well what if these people actually graduated, took a wrong turn, or are skillful. How about illegal immigration and how it affected the system? The list can go on and on. I just settle for what I have today. Show me a party that is not corrupt? Actually show me a 2/3rds electorate that will back any party. I wouldn't turn to the Feds to solve a problem. Too divided. I'd look to state/local communities to solve their own issues.

  • @thereinliestherib it's all about power & the govt most certainly has that now does it.You want to talk jobs, as I seem to recall things were more organized back then when it came to improving and building infrastructure.Kind of amazing how roads all connect nowadays.Could be waaaay better. Plenty of angles to approach this from however until govt finally figures out the jobs issue, then don't go preaching mandatory healthcare or expect anyone to maintain a policy. It was never about insurance.

  • @thereinliestherib if there was any serious reform in healthcare, we would've adopted the French model designed to keep people out of the ER thus reducing the need for lifeflights/ambulances. Did govt reform any of the system. Nope. What passed in Congress was nothing but an insurance bill designed to force others to do business with a third party. The mandate I disagree with because it gives the govt power to regulate inactivity and that is not within their power.

  • @thereinliestherib in order to sell any product especially health insurance, the price and benefits better be just right. No more calendar year or co-insurance bullshit. Better yet cap prices for surgical services and make it where one can pay a reasonable and customary amount in cash directly to their provider per their income level. Hmm you figure after the ridiciulous amount govt takes out of one's check, one should already be covered in some regard.

  • @thereinliestherib what really brings into light on why govt can't be trusted is the amount of money it continously takes and wastes and now we have massive debt.C'mon now if insuring everyone was the answer, they could've expanded medicare, sent out cards, and diverted part of what we all pay into social security.Hello single payer.Me thinks the govt takes of a substantial chunk from me as is that could've gone towards an insurance policy. No incentive to go out and do business with insurers.

  • @thereinliestherib in some circles if we are that close to depression, then my take on it is that it will happen. Once you create an environment where people greatly reduce their purchases (where money doesn't flow freely), then you just crashed the economy. Money moves around and people get paid and that is the way it should be give or take those that want to save. Start with the basics: INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENERGY PRODUCTION. Let's see more independent businesses.

  • @thereinliestherib what's really comical about govt at any level is that you have virutally an untapped resource of labor both legal/illegal & had the right policies been implemented, then you probably could've had a much better country. Instead we are still the world policeman. No money in war.The financial system/money system just seems to be the grand illusion and we are all eaily manipulated. However I found my peace along time ago in living a certain way and will eventually go back to it.

  • @thereinliestherib the intriguing thign is what happens when one has nothing to lose and I think we see that everyday: Drug deals, bank robberies, riots. No safety net for everyone and a negative consequence then things aren't as cozy. Oh hey I'll still work some corrupted industries if it means survival. Just don't expect me to live to a ripe old age either. No need given today's greed and corruption. At least I die broke with no real assets that can be targeted. Fuck the creditors.

  • @shaithis80 Crazy, writ large.

  • @thereinliestherib nah, it just seems like you just don't want to face reality. You are just seeking to manipulate it into whatever you want it to be and hope enough people follow you like slaves for that almighty dollar. Well bud I have my own standards which don't involve selling out with the rest of them. Probably explains after all I've seen I just never seeked certain things out of life because I realize how bullshit it all is. A corrupted monetary system and no one wins.

  • @thereinliestherib I'm just in it to make enough to pay the rent and then some however if the system is truly stacked against the individual, then I only go so far in life however I refuse subject any future children to the way you see things nor will they serve as your own little economic slaves. Do the fucking work yourself. Deliver and grow your own foods and see if that slave wage trucker will deliver your shit for you LOL! Eventually as the degradation continues it all comes crashing down.

  • @thereinliestherib however what makes this country great is the local businesses and once you lose that do to your shit rules, you lose a lot.You don't tell businesses how to operate or what they will provide to their employees.I'd rather get paid what I'm worth without benefits and do my insurance business as needed. However you don't tell anyone slaving away how they will spend there money and threaten them with fines.Kind of crossing the line into tyranny and you just don't seem to admit that.

  • @thereinliestherib insurance is a scam business. If they are selling shitty watered down policies, then don't expect anyone to buy into that type of scam/for profit system. I can also see you still fail to address the root causes of why medical costs skyrocketed and how one used to pay in cash for medical services rendered. There is a lot wrong with the country and we just don't have the representation to see it done right. Might take a depression to restore common sense.

  • @thereinliestherib just don't expect the slave working class or those scraping by that have nothing to lose to follow laws deemed uncostitutional and unjust when it comes to beign forced into doing business with anyone. In the interim, I just have fun, debate asses like you on You tube, live, work, eat, shit, fuck, masturbate and make a poor attempt at living. Had things be gong smooth, I would still be working in my professional line of work however those jobs dried up.

  • @thereinliestherib and I've earned my professional experience however I find some parts of the workforce won't have much to do with you if you haven't kept your experience constant and I found that out about trucking. What do you want to bet it is all because of insurance reasons that are the driving force behind that where time put it no longer counts. I think you can see why I don't trust medical insurers or any type of insurance. However I do have to play somewhat and pay for auto.

  • @thereinliestherib yep I pay for auto and that is about it. Life, medical, etc etc....hm great if you are making $50,000/yr but something my dad always taught me:Minimize your monthly expenses anyway you can and there is a lot of truth to that.Oh yeah one more thing, you better fucking pray govt never defaults on its Social Security obligations because I can't help thinking about the possible revenge scenario frm an angry public that has been scammed all these years paying into it for nothing:)

  • @thereinliestherib considering those that have currently paid into the system over time & have not tapped their benefits, it might be worth something to get a lump sum of that money back and opt out if at all possible putting more cash in my pocket.Hell I probably won't live long enough to collect and that is exactly what govt is hoping for. Just sad how much of a scam things really are. & let's not forget about Mediscare. Gee you just can't spend what you make without govts taking their share.

  • @thereinliestherib the way I see things I pay more than my fair share in required rent so don't start dictating or mandating that I will maintain this or that or be fined for failure to do so.I think I pay enough into the system not 2b terrorized by bills such as Obamacare which I hope is struck down (at least the mandate) by the SCOTUS.Also I govt is trying to find new ways to tax, then let's discuss unconstitutional pay raises for lawmakers and how money has been squandered over the decades.

  • @thereinliestherib it's easy to tax for continous revenue however I don't believe in supporting a bloated system. It takes real leadership to really cut and cut deep and control spending and that is leadership we just don't seem to have today across all 3 branches of govt be it Fed/State/Local.You live within your means and once govt has spent itself into a whole it cannot get out of, nothing is going to save that and whatever happens will happen and perhaps we will be better off after the fact.

  • @thereinliestherib after all is said and done I'll see you at the fucking voting booth and express myself that way as that is all I have left in the way of recourse. Don't believe in joining up with parties because of all the junk mail and phone calls I get. In fact it would send a clear message to both parties if all of a sudden every last registered voter were to reregister unaffiliated. That would throw a scare into the system and perhaps things might finally get done.

  • @thereinliestherib of course as the old saying goes divided we fall. When was the last time we had a 2/3rds majority backing anyone or anything. When was the last time we had a fair election? When I say fair, how about all the disenfranchised illegals working here that were not given the chance to voice their opinion while slaving away and being treated unfairly (still happening today I take it).Hmm perhaps this country could've been better had govts managed their resoruces.

  • @thereinliestherib oh well shit happens and will happen. Hope you are prepared. In the meantime I still slightly believe in the system put won't play it for personal gain and my beliefs and whatever scruples I have left will probably cause me to change jobs a few times because I refused to play by a company's dishonest rules. It's days like this I'm glad I never procreated because of all the unjust demands out there nowadays. Gotta have a restrained govt though and let people live.

  • @thereinliestherib regardless, you gotta have wealth, middle, and lower classes and at the same time make sure everyone has can afford the bare essentials on minimum wage (hard to do now ain't it?) Either that or come out with a maximum wage and perhaps that might help control costs. Quite an interesting system in need of some tweaking here and there. Cheers to what is looking to be an uncertain future. Until our next exchange then? l8tr:)

  • @thereinliestherib oh almost forgot did I mention one should be able to save when it comes to maintaining their vehicle. Hey your life might be fine having access to mass transit, but you forget rural communities where that might not be the case. I had to commute 20-30 minutes outside of town because that was all the work I could find and I was happy to do that. Mass transit didn't go that far out of town. You seem to like overlooking what actually goes on in the real world. FUCK YOU!!!!!!!

  • @thereinliestherib just thought of something else. If I'm expected to be a slave to a sick financial system, then there is no reason to really live or develop further now is there. Since I'm not seeking to prolong my life any further than need be all I can say is I'm not one more person that you will exploit for personal gain and will fight to defeat you and other idiots that think like you until the day I draw my last breath. Also I live no offspring behind to serve your selfish needs LOL!

  • @thereinliestherib so what do u expect.Be a good little citizen & follow all your stupid rules & regulations.Just doesn't work like that anymore especially when govt can't enforce its own laws or balance its own check book.Gee how did we every develop in a societ without health insurance???? Don't you know your fucking history asswipe.Aye but we all need jobs & insurance provides them people with jobs however it is just an added layer 2a gross for profit medical system that I disagree with:)

  • @thereinliestherib here is the trade off for me. Since I've chosen not to pro-create or ever raise a family, then all I ask is leave me the fuck alone and let me earn my daily pittance doing whatever I'm qualified to do and reap the benefits of living single. I pay enough as is and so help me fucking God if I'm not making much, then you don't dictate what other monthly expenses I'll burden myself with at any given time you got that motherfucker.

  • @thereinliestherib hey you try slave laboring in the trucking industry for 60-70hrs a week and getting paid shit only then being expected by the state that you live in to maintain some sort of residence. Oh gee I'm not allowed to save to especially in a workforce that pays shit. Yeah the U.S. govt has done a fine job correcting employment injustices and frankly I'm sick of assholes like you that think you can play and exploit the individual for personal gain.

  • @shaithis80 Oh my god. I guess mental illness starts at rapid ten comment responses. Your anger is completely misplaced my friend, and the cost of living you cry about is because of the very irresponsibility you're trying to protect. US HC costs have very little to do with systemic "greed" and corporate conspiracies, and everything to do with exploding pool risk due to poor American health. If you had any facts, you'd see that's why govt insurers are in even DEEPER red ink than private ones.

  • @thereinliestherib that's right and you might want to accept the fact that people will always be irresponsible in general. Welcome to the real world. You see it in govt, you see it in business, you see it in the medical industry. The struggle to make it or become rich is really starting to become a lie if there are greedy hospitals and such that can take it from you. I'd rather live broke and stick someone else with the bill LOL!!! Costs do have a lot to do with it though.

  • @thereinliestherib we'll settle our differences when it comes time to vote. And for the record, a govt that fails to respect the rights of the individual is a govt that is eventually doomed to fail.

  • @thereinliestherib and before govt starts dictating to anyone to maintain health insurance or else, perhaps you better guarantee plentiful jobs that are decent paying and can support an individual living anywhere in the U.S. Don't expect people making $10/hr to throw money away on a policy anytime soon. Aye everyone must participate but kind of hard to sell that ideal if everyone is not working. See how unfair it really is LOL! I'd rather elminate health insurance.

  • @thereinliestherib also fix the cost of living and make it more affordable for low wage earners if you expect anyone to want to participate if a corrupted society. And sorry you can't necessarily ban unhealthy food without taking away jobs and putting more people out of work in your crusade. .

  • @shaithis80 Crusade? The crusade is 200 million obese/overweight people who overburden public resuorces and health insurance pools with their added risk, risk which is systematically displaced onto the shoulders of the healthy and responsible in terms of higher costs. A significant reason this country keeps losing so many jobs is because we are so unhealthy, driving up employment costs; a fat tax is perfectly fair and effective.

  • @thereinliestherib LOL that is a big negative, health insurance is the greatest scam out there today. Govt has not done shit to get medical costs back down. What ever happened to paying for services in cold hard cash. Geez you like prices overinflated no wonder we are fucked. Ah I do believe a reason for job loss was allowing the mass exporting of jobs and money overseas which can be linked back to bad govt.

  • @thereinliestherib LOL a fat tax. Hey go ahead and apply that to the fast food chains then. Seems like we are very good and isolating businesses like tanning saloons so why not isolate other businesses and tax them. However be fair and target every last restaurant that you like to eat out at. Certainly restaurants serve fatty unhealthy foods and all must be taxed. Actually there are no costs being shove onto anyone and you just don't want to admit that it is all a scam.

  • @thereinliestherib for the record I'm not part of a socialized pool of scam health insured people nor will I subject myself to paying for crappy coverage or being forced into doing business with a third party nor will I face fines for failure to participate. If my work situation is constantly unstable and if I'm living paycheck to paycheck then all I have to say is mandatory participation is a bogus scam designed to steal more money from hard working people.

  • @thereinliestherib it is not an even remotely fair workforce &govt intervention in other fields along with insurers in general have really fucked it up for everyone.Fine keep that barrier between you and your doctor and pay for insurance that doesn't cover you all to well. If you really want to go the health insurance route, then eliminate deductibles,co-insurance and offer a flat rate that covers you 100% in all 48 states and U.S. territories.Smokers and the obese pay more if you go that route.

  • @thereinliestherib and just remember that money wasted on a pricey insurance policy every month was money easily saved for a medical visit and over saved for a rainy day in the event one found themselves out of work or needing to move to another part of the country to find work. But let's not stop there, get cost of living back down for those scraping by so they can live off minimum wage. I think you will find minimum wage won't even get you into much of anywhere in some parts of the U.S.

  • @thereinliestherib one figures by paying for a policy nowadays is that you are admitting to paying more costs beyond your premiums. That is not right for certain income levels. Eliminate the insurers and force those that overcharge for services to go fucking bankrupt and let the market adjust back to within the scope of the public and what people can realistically afford. The 6 figure hosptial bills are bullshit and I view it nowadays as a form of price gouging. Eliminate the for profit system.

  • @shaithis80 Somewhat true. But price gouging is not truly indicative of a profit-based, free market; it's indicative of monopoly through mandate and regulation, which, you guessed it, comes through govt leverage. The overall insurance cost of our system is high exactly because we carry so much risk for lazy, irresponsible, incompetent, and stupid obese people and smokers. End of story. Look up the most prevalent and costly diseases in America; you'll see very quickly where our costs arise.
