That's your opinion and I respect it, but, I honestly don't care for those old Roast's from back in the day, to me, they're just boring. Nobody makes me laugh harder than Greg Giraldo (R.I.P.), Jeff Ross, Nick DiPaolo and Lisa Lampanelli. Those 4 are comic gold, IMO. I love Insult Comedy, it's funny as hell.

@BrutalAsHell I like insult comedy too, Don Rickles is pretty slick at some of his insults, I have no problem with those. But, my stipulation is that it be clever is all. Stringing a sentence where 8 out of 10 words is "fuck" or "cum" really isn't that hard, it's more in line with a tantrum than an actual joke or zinger.

And I'm not saying the new roasts are void of laughs, and i'm not saying "never utter a cuss word." I just prefer that insult comics be a little witty or clever, not loud.

I find Giraldo, Ross, DiPaolo and Lampanelli all very witty and clever. It might not come off like that to people who maybe can't see past the cussing or vulgarity, but, they're all really funny, smart, and brutally honest comic's. I laugh my ass of when they're on that dais. Lacing humor with honesty is the ultimate high, IMO. The old ones were more about close friend's, the newer ones are more about people you'd love to see get ripped a new one, by complete stranger's. lol
