the problem with expert mode is that all the damage you take is alwoys focused on your wings cause that's where your power generation is expemted from, but on normal, its all pointed at either your fueslage or your wingmen (but sector X warp will be focused on your wings no matter what, damn bitch programmers)

It truly is. But I eventually got it. You have to be patient here. Just keep shooting down enemy fighters. DO NOT fire at a hatch yet until you know for sure you're gonna get 150 hits. Say if you have 135 hits and you shoot a hatch, that should get you 140 or so. Then you can go ahead and shoot that big bitch down, but be quick about it.
