I'm a supporter of "Transhumanism" which well would be considered the ultimate opposition of the "Neo-Luddite" movement that people like Theodore Kaczynski encourages. Another historical figure who was both idolized and stigmatized was John Brown. He led a violent revolt opposing slavery prior to the Civil War. In a way, both Kaczynski and Brown are alike. The only thing seperating them as heroes or villans is one's point of view.
