if you have custom firmware 5.00M33 or 5.03GEN/Cfwenabler or 5.50GEN you can use something called Game Decryptor to patch the game to work on older firmwares. So no you don't need to update if you have custom firmware

Not realy u cud just keep your CFW and just download the ISO of the game then u dont have to update or decrypt anything.
