I think some people don't understand why they use dogs. A bullet is something you can't call off, if they shot at this guy and knicked a artery he could die and they don't want him dead. Generally the police won't deploy the dog if there is a potentially lethal threat to the K9 i.e a firearm or long blade. The handler at the start of this clip should be disgusted at his own 'Gung Ho' attitude in sending the dog into a firearms situation. The felon isn't the only one who's holds responsibility for this animal's death. This was a senseless waste of the life of a loyal servant.

I had seen this on TV before, autopsy revealed that the police had actually killed the dog. The suspect fired and hit the K9 1x time, the handler of the k9 and his back up then fired upon the suspect, inadvertantly killing the K9 Officer.

Criminals can sue cops, it happens all the time especially in Europe. They can say that the cops used too much force, relatives can sue for the same thing. It's crazy but we live in a world where murderers and theives get just as much if not more right then the common citizen.

I did notice (not on this vid tho) that more and more k9's on duty wear protective vests, kinda like bullet proof vests, around their chest. That way, when someone guns them, they are less vulnareble to deadly wounds. If I'm wrong, correct me please.
Anyway, didn't understand one word of that chinese or japanese dub, but it still made me cry to see how man's best friend gives his life to save his partner(s). And it broke my heart to see the handler crumble on the sight of seeing his dog dead.

Generally the police won't deploy the dog if there is a potentially lethal threat to the K9 i.e a firearm or long blade. The handler at the start of this clip should be disgusted at his own 'Gung Ho' attitude in sending the dog into a firearms situation. The felon isn't the only one who's holds responsibility for this animal's death. This was a senseless waste of the life of a loyal servant.

unless you speak this language, nobody really knows what the real situation was, and thats also assuming the reporter knew everything. he is a trained expert who obviously cared about his partner. don't slam him unless you know all of the info. to the right of that man could have been a restaurant and shooting him would have been too dangerous. this might have been his only chance. remember he is the expert. give him a break.

I had seen this on TV before, autopsy revealed that the police had actually killed the dog. The suspect fired and hit the K9 1x time, the handler of the k9 and his back up then fired upon the suspect, inadvertantly killing the K9 Officer.

Handled a K-9 and when you see a suspect attacking your dog you instinctually go bezerk. Could not imagine how I would have reacted if my dog (retired and doing great) was shot. Probably would have lost my job and maybe worse.

I have Belgian Shepher Malinois.(Black) it's wonderful dog. I had one before half GER half malinois..it's died unnatural death(carcruelty)...over drift by the Postman by car. It was only ca. 2 months old. It was sad day for me and my family.
