  • This an oustanding video and certainly outstanding behavior by the chasers who are putting public safety first. But this isn't the tornado that hit St. Louis. They were sequential but separate events.

  • I left my phone in the airport and was frustrated because I couldnt find that parking garage to run in and get it. I work there and needed my phone for the weekend. The sirens and sky made me give up my search and I found a 70 West entrance and deceded to go home. Twenty minutes later this happened.

  • I pray for USA. Tornado, Earthquake, Tsunami. The natural disaster is happened everywhere. what's going on in this world? From Nagasaki, Japan

  • scary to think i was just at that airport a week before that happened

  • That first scene was on 40/64 looking toward Chesterfield. Taken right at the Winghaven exit. I watched that same tornado from my house on Hwy. N.

  • @Castawayds, it was an EF 4 at it's greatest strength and was DEFINITELY on the ground for awhile. That's a damn huge tornado.

  • @castawayds You wouldn't be able to see a tornado in this video, as it was rain-wrapped and the most dangerous type tornado there is besides a night time rain-wrapped on

  • Didn't look like it touched the ground to me, and it wasn't really that big. Just a lot of rain to make it look more ominous.

  • Amazing video , Jesse! Great job with stopping the traffic like that! You probably saved someones life!

  • Now thats whatcha call rain wrapped

  • Fabulous video! Thanks for sharing - be careful out there!

  • Holy shit.

  • near Weldon Springs/Dardenelle looking south in I64/40

  • The was at Hwy 64/40 near Weldon Springs..east of New Melle. While a funnel is visible there when I said "tornado," it appears that a rain wrapped tornado has or was lifting right before it entered the shopping center on the left. Significant damage was reported to a subdivision just ENE of New Melle.

  • It looks like highway 64 west. What intersection was this close to?

  • Where was this? Was this highway 70 or 370?

  • @Fleebob looks like 70...don't know of 370 looking that way..probably further down from St. Peters which is where I am. We had to go the basement two times but I saw the cloud go right over us but it was too weak to do anything but about 5-10 minutes later heard it hit Maryland heights.

  • Oh my goodness. The tornado was so hard to see. I cant imagine the people driving right into it. I am glad I flew in on Thursday instead of last night

  • That was difficult to tell that was a tornado crossing the highway.
