Damn, I just saw the album cover and had a shit-load of memories come flooding back to me. God Music and smells open the floodgates. DO they still tour? I may have seen them in N.O. I'm not sure.
@mustang247365 The Ocean Club was THE place to be in the '80's. Thanks for reminding me of it. I drove by the other day feeling nostalgic and wishing I could turn back time.
Hell yeah another Houston native here. I am 39 going on 40 and saw them waaaaaay back in the mid 80's at....... FAME CITY. Yes, yes anyone remember that place ?. I also was at 6400, power tools, DV8, shark dance, numbers, club ECT, and a whole bunch of others as well. I grew up in Alief and went to all Alief schools. Graduated from Elsik. I was always a short distance from the major roads like westhiemer, richmond ave. Went to Yucatan liquor stand. Great times and well.. THE X-N-ACID
ahh yes.. brings me back to my clubbing days at the 321 club in Santa Monica, CA. Had no car back then so I'd take the bus to the club lol... the good ol' days
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this just keeps on mesmerizing me over and over again whenever i hear it!!!!!! 80's music rules!!!!!!!!! today's music sucks!!!!!!!!!!
The Kingfish!!!!! Breaux Bridge, La.....def the happiest time of my life :) Anyone remember it? Also partying in Ft. Walton Beach when I lived there :)
I must say that the comments about THIS song are pretty heartfelt.. i remember those times... some of the -check that the best times of my life. i would not change those times for all of the internet, ipods and whatever else we have now. i guess we would not have the I-net as we know it either..
im not impressed. I dont see what the big deal is about this song. Ministry work for love is a better song than this. I blame the record labels for putting out half ass music.
Always loved BOL and this track in particular....being in the military in the mid 80's, I would play this song as loud as I could!! Oh the Boys I had the pleasure to play with, even then!! Thanks BOL, you will always live on in my heart and mind!
OMG i love this song, takes me way back in East Texas our GAY bar , when noone was on the dance floor i would walk up to the DJ and she would ask me "what do I do?" I would say play "BOY", POOF, you could not move , poppers, people, If someone farted they would ALL blow up!! LOVE BOOK OF LOVE, LOVE 80s tunes. Joe !!
Oh and I am from Texas born and raised, moved to Ohio. Boring here imo lol Not even sure what they turned the club into that me and my best friend used to go to every Friday and Saturday.Heather
Finally found this! Used to have so much fun dancing to this one in the clubs.Wore Black stir up pants, tucked into black boots, polka dot shirt of some kind with a tank under, tons of bracelets. Hair was one side over my ear and i thought I looked so cool lol Lots of black eyeliner. I was so new wave. Damn i had a blast and glad I was a teen during most of it!
Great comments, everyone. The 80s music had this sound that todays music will never have. Im glad you had some good times and great memories, DC circuitboy :)
Takes me back to Club Rio in '88. Atlanta. Dowtown in those days rocked. Nothing like it is now. You could dance your ass off and do it again the following night. Great song.
I saw them when they opened up for Depeche Mode in Irvine, Ca. My niece loves this music...........she even admits that some of the remakes today have nothing on the original artist.
@MrAxeEdent saw them in Philadelphia opening for for Depeche on the Black Celebration tour! Was lucky enough to meet them twice after that! Drank Heineken and ate M&M's with them. Great times!
this band is so kool i am so happy that i met him even better he is my college teacher at dmx touro college and he is really a great singer also a good producer in arts and music he is amazin im puttin da word out there he is an amazin teacher im so glad he is teaching me music
Every time I hear this song I remember hanging out at Bonham Exchange (dance club) with my club friends in San Antonio, Texas, 1986-87. Those were fun days. I still dance to this song.
@TheBerdinator Yes I can remember, I was stationed in Fort Hood Texas, and my buddies would go to Austin, Tx. on 6th Street, don't know which dance club, but when this song played, the dance floor was filled....
The city is not the same anymore. The neighborhood has changed, the bar is now a Starbucks. But when ever I hear this song, I am instantly transported back to the late 80s. To a warm West Village night. And a brown eyed boy in a black leather jacket.
me and Lisa Lucero....Honolulu, Hawaii mid-80s.

they ruined some retro alternative music outlets by putting grunge and beastie boy trash in it. soon hip hop with be called "new wave."
sirious radio need at least 3 retro alternative station one for the 70s and one for the 80s and one for new wave 80s dance type music.
