  • Guys, there's no sound!!!

  • @MrCaptain221 Oh, had mute on. hur hur...

  • So let me get this straight, the cop from internal affairs knew he was setting him up?

  • That's Erik Satie with the bowler hat. This was shot one year before his death. Even at the ripe old age of 59, the man was the coolest. Puts modern avant-garde artists to shame.

  • I've been a fan of Rene Clair for a long, long time, seen most if not all of his "mainstream" films, & heard the legend of this, his cinematic debut, & an anomaly (in some ways) in his career as well as the history of creative film-making. To finally get to see it now, even w/o the orig. sndtrk. (this 1 seems to work quite compellingly w/ the flow of images, actually) is a thrill almost beyond describing...merci mille fois!!

  • eeehe hee hee

    i don't get it

    eeehe heee heee

    so what

  • Merveilleux film de René Clair....

    Merci beaucoup, luchicibeat !

  • wtf

  • at the beggining: is that satie in the hat?

  • Yes, he is.

  • I LOVE THIS!

  • Paris must have been an awesome place to be an artist in 1924.

  • wow, really brilliant film. anyone know did this score?

  • Looks like it was Erik Satie, by the credits at the beginning.

  • Erik Satie did the original music, this is another thing... I mean somebody put their own music into this old film.

If you want to watch the movie with it's original movie, see this: watch?v=ueGdyVLLqp0&feature=related

    Satie's music is INCREDIBLE!

  • it said at the beggining it was at least partially by erik satie - look him up

  • francis bicabia nice

  • La musique de Satie pour ce film se nomme "Relâche".

  • This is FANTASTIC!

    Is the soundtrack original?

    Tx, for uploading.

  • No this is a mute film by Renè Clair (1924)

  • No, that's not the original soundtrack. The original is composed by Erik Satie. The style is very different.

  • Intéressant, mais pourquoi n'avoir pas conserver la musique originale d'Erik Satie ? Contrainte technique peut-être ? Cette musique de fond ne colle pas du tout à l'atmosphère et l'époque de ce film. Dommage, sinon bonne initiative.
