Remember, Zaraki didn't use Kendo on Ichigo & only took his eyepatch off for a few seconds and after he did he won (both he and Ichigo were injred but if no one picked up Ichigo he would've died while Zaraki would've lived either way). Reiatsu is the most important so having "only reiatsu" going for you is ideal
