I worked him tonight from the gulf coast in Alabama. I was using my TS-440SAT barefoot with my 40m wire dipole.

Wow, what a potent signal from Italy on 40 meters! Quite a pile up that he is creating!

I love the display on the FT-950. I am planning to acquire a Yaesu FT-950 hopefully some time this year.

Not much fun when you're on this side of the Atlantic. As I type this he's on 7.154.25 (01:45 Tuesday 9 Feb 2009) and his signal is so wide he's splattering a local EI station on 7.162

I wonder why you're getting him 59+++ in North America...???

This is for me (as Yogi Berra famously said): "Deja vu all over again!" I spoke to Roberto this evening, he was 59+++, my transceiver is a TS-950SDX, my desk looks just like yours, and I have a note pad in front of the rig at about the same location!...So when I saw this video, it looked like I recorded it a few minutes ago!

I just heard this guy tonight on 7.185 but was not able to work him from here in PA. I2VRN was running mobile tonight...and coming in strong on the east coast.
