I am so fond of Captain Ed for his skill/calmness with this seriously damaged 747. Capt Ed was able to do what the pilots of United 232 ( which had more damage with no hydraulics) was not as fortunate. Captain Al on United 232 made an almost impossible situation into an incredibly remarkable outcome. Capt Ed totally succeeded is directly related with the asymmetrical settings on the engines. It is sad that Capt Ed has passed away now but I know that he still has his wings in heaven.
