  • If looking at bars and coins in silver and gold and they say 1 oz. are they always a troy oz?

  • ASEs (American Silver Eagles) on average are around $6 dollars over spot when using a credit/debit card to purchase. Also add a $12.95 shipping charge. Their web site is good and shipping is quick; however, I find APMEX to be very expensive.

  • @175hydro Not in Deutschland ! Grüsse aus Deutschland an Leute die schon mal in München oder Hamburg waren !!!

  • I use Apmex for mint direct items. I try to pay via check to keep the price down. I usually get screwed quality wise when I buy from them (not mint direct). What i mean is that often the silver is all scratched up which I dislike or its got fingerprints on the rounds. sometimes the prints dont come off.

  • Sell less than market value? That's a lie, or you are sadly mistaken.

  • I have to disagree with you about AMPEX, their prices are not lower at all. plus their shipping and handling is wow! way to high.

I am being trying to purchase some fractional coins and It sound like I have to wait for the silver market to crash if i want to purchase them from them. AMPEX wow it is a no no.

  • Overall they are decent site. I have bought alot from them. There is good and bad- Prices are good, packaging is great, website is good. The Bad-Payment options, shipping prices. I still use them..

  • I order some american eagles,i'm very exited about the rising price of silver

  • I recommend "goldeneaglecoin" they have better price and customer service...if you don't believe me, check them out:)

  • They are not honest...Trust me...I order a roll of silver and they all had milk spot on them...asked them for a return, they didn't do it and they said that it JUST FINE... don't worry...but I went to sell them and people were like wtf is that on the coins???

  • it is marked somewhat it just says apx....anyone that knows apmex would know apx stand for that but anywasy i still buy frome them the most too

  • anyone want to get 1 oz silver Morgan rounds for free? Go to h t t p (colon) //silversnowball(dot)com/3897 and get some more info on how to do it!!!! Its a lot easier than you think!

  • Goldmart.com is better than both of the above options. The shipping rates are far better, sometimes I have even received Free Shipping. Apart from shipping, they have the lowest prices I have found online. Has anyone else worked with Goldmart? Any thoughts?

  • The copper mint in the UK make some beautiful copper bullion bars. They have made a fantastic addition to my bullion collection as I can see copper rising just like silver has done.

  • Hopefully other people have noticed that APMEX's bid and ask prices are consistently listed as being higher than what they really should be. Their premiums are outrageous and their buy back prices, even for $10K swaps are getting lower.

Buy from other bullion retailers. Everyone who buys from APMEX is asking for higher premiums.

  • wish I could buy some coins now. I like my local coin shop also.

  • MIDAS is the Best..... GCN.com

  • Shit up Penner !!!!!!!!!!

  • They have a $5,000 cap a month for new customer if you pay with credit cards.

  • Great job, Mark! I would LOVE to hear your review of the new Islamic gold dinars and the silver dirham. Rumor has it that this is going to be the standard pan-Islamic currency, idea being that this stable currency is not dependent on instable government. Have you bought any of these coins?

  • APMEX is the best... I placed an order for a few silver bars on march 5th that were on back order and unavailible untill march 9th... Today is march 11th and I have my bars in hand!!!! Great company!!!

  • During the Blizzard in Oklahoma of Winter 2011, there was a minor shipping error on one of my orders. Apmex was closed because of the snow and had a message on their phone service indicating such. I left a message on their answering machine and amazingly enough, I received a phone call from a Vice President at Apmex who was the only one who made in thru the snow. He assured me that my problem would be corrected ASAP - and it was! Good Company!

  • You' ve got a beautiful way to explain things. Thank you.

  • APMEX sends me a tin of popcorn every Christmas. I like popcorn.

  • thx the best video for me so far!!!!

  • Hey thanks I'm a new collector and I was looking for a great place to buy from this might be it thanks

  • APMEX sent me 1988 eagles instead of 1988 maples (the enclosed sales order/conformation sheet even said "1988 maples") The only reason I didn't complain was their price difference was very slightly in my favor. Use APMEX only if you're flexible.

  • @ajdicks i just returned a 10 ounce bar, heard of the "ten commandment's ?..well yea, that one, It arrived damaged and they told me that they'll exchange it. and it didn't come in that fancy package for a big order! They send it out in the cheap usps box!! made me wonder if they're also keeping more than 2% surcharge because the S&H was really expensive.

  • @ajdicks Mistakes happen, no matter with whom you deal, but APMEX has incredible customer service, and would have happily corrected the error had you chosen to complain. The only problem I ever ran into with them was a dime or two short in a bulk "junk Silver" order, and they promptly mailed me the missing coins, no questions asked. =^[.]^=

  • Go to gainesville coins. Its much cheaper and better.

  • @themightyjoseph i might start buying here...i hate getting charged over 60 dollars for S&H and was really disappointed on my last order.

  • If their was a new Financial Institution in your area that offered their depositors, gold and silver bullion savings plans, referral rewards of up to $900, residual income on your referrals of up to 5.5% and gold and silvers bullion as small as a 1/2 gram so more people can afford to own, accumulate, own and control gold and silver, would you want to know about it? Then check out my site watch the 2 videos and contact me for more info,IT DOES NOT COST TO JOIN US

  • what does the word bullion mean????

Great videos bro. I am learning alot

  • @clevmartin Bullion refers to precious metal that doesn't have official money value. For example an American Silver Eagle contains one ounce of pure silver, which at current market price is worth over $30 just for the metal content. It also has an official one-dollar face value so you could actually spend it at the store and get a buck's worth of groceries, though it would be dumb to do so. A generic 'bullion' round also contains an ounce of silver worth $30+, but isn't backed by the government.

  • It takes them 4 days to process a credit card payment for around $300. Most places can do this in 5 minutes. Did I mention they suck!

  • APMEX sucks. They don't delver on time and then charge a $35 fee for their mistake. I would rather buy elsewhere.

  • Buy only in Germany ore Switzland ore Austria, very, very save ! Offshore shipping isnt save !!!!!!!!!!!

  • coins are so cool

  • Apmex's Bank is JP Morgan. No Thank you.

  • I have bought gold and silver bullion from them, great service. Shipping is a little pricey so you have to buy enough to make it worthwile.

  • Buying silver with credit must be a desperate move? don't pay your debt can they take yor silver?

  • Buy physical silver, mass buy silver day 11th December 2010. Spread the word!

  • I was impressed with APMEX, until I actually tried to buy.I ordered a $1 face value roll of war nickels. I proceeded to checkout and it said there was a $50 minnum. I got another $1 face falue roll of war nickels to meet the $50 minnimum. I looked at the shippin at it was $15. at that point, I logged off. I was going to spend $25, and if a proceeded to buy, I would have spent $65.

  • @eric091111 check out coast to coast coin website. they charge $5 shipping for anything.

  • Many withe man from germany like Apmex ! Were can we buy that and not only Silvereagles ,i do have more than 3000 Eagles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have had no problems with APMEX. Excellent company.

  • I had a bad experience with APMEX. I sent in my credit card # and they had it on hold for about 2 weeks! I called them about it and they said "We have to be very careful when it comes to credit cards" I sat here for almost 3 weeks before I got my silver. i bought 10, 10oz silver bars and it was a huge head ache! There shipping prices for delivery on a credit card were horrible. I am NOT going to ever buy from them again! Good luck to you who do! Dont expect too much!

  • @iam4u2cl8er so why didn't you pay in cash, like you should be doing? It's rather obvious why APMEX makes it more expensive to pay with credit cards. A 25 dollar shipping fee for insured bullion that can be worth tens of thousands of dollars is to be expected.

  • @jdavis234 This is 2010...Nobody deals in cash anymore! I can understand the insurance thing, but if they have my credit card # and they have the money already there, why not ship? Who cares about anything else? They have my money already in their hands...They cant lose. So I had to wait almost a month before I got my silver...I dont know...I gave them a C when it comes to buying silver from them, and they only got that high of a grade because their silver is really nice

  • @iam4u2cl8er Credit card companies charge merchant fees. For a dealer in precious metals, charging 2% over spot, credit card fees can more than half one's profits.

  • @jdavis234 You are right! What do you suggest in order for me to be able to purchase precious metals a bit easier and faster? Really appriciate it. Ive been buying silver out the wazoo on the net but mainly at a local pon shop who charges a dollar over spot for silver. But they only have 10oz max at one time. I bought 105 oz from APMEX and the experience was laughable at most! Thanks for the advise.

  • Excellent review! I was about to order 100 coins so I am glad you put this out here, makes be feel more confident in buying from these folks.

  • He,he we are Germans and not suck !!!

  • Just found a very interesting educational article on silver, check it out (also has a promo code to save money on silver :) futuremoneytrends. com/Silver_Trend. html

  • They also ship to APO AE. I get all my stuff from them.

  • They also ship to APO AE.

  • Awesome intro sequence, I really like the animation.

  • nice

  • Nice Video!

  • He,i do have my Silvereagles and here in Europa and very small price ,thank Amis !

  • I started collecting a few years ago. I started with the Australian Lunar New Years Series 1. I really Like the Year of The Dragon coin so I started there. I am now needing one coin to have the whole set complete. The Year of the Ox, which I am getting from APMEX. Is this collection a good investment or have I just put good money in after bad?

  • 7 minutes left in the auction! type in massive lot of coins! it is at 175$

  • Isnt this site sponsored by APMEX... they provide coins to show. Anyway, gold and silver isnt enough. U circumcised men out there have to restore your foreskins to be strong in society. research it online and go to tlc tugger . com

  • I agree with this rating &dude on this video. APMEX is a great company &I haven't found a company that is less expensive & service oriented than they are. Simply put, they are very reasonable with their prices & it seems everyone else seems to charge way more than they do. Also they do deliver the days they say they do. I ordered from them twice &the 1st time I got my package in 2 days after order &the 2nd time I got it 4 days after order. Not bad considering they said I will get it in 1-3days.

  • Nice video... I am in a bullion silver and gold program... the best one online... and NO not Numis... bullion coins and bars... silver eagles and others... you can whole sale silver and gold also, The very best program online period!

  • @ToddsVlog Brilliant, try buying at close to spot prices in the UK !! Nearly impossible. I bought some APMEX oz (new ones as far as I know) today. I do believe strongly silver will rally in the longer term 7-10 years. That is bearish I know, but I do think that the manipulation of the markets wiil continue regardless of so called investigations, for some time to come, but strongly believe for many reasons silver will be in 4 digits price by the not too distant future, BUY silver now.

  • Just bought my bullion today and cant wait. I went for the Cashier's check option, seemed to be the cheapest. Thanks for the video, very informative.

  • I HOPE YOU PICK ME !!!!!!

cool editing on this one mark =)

  • cool vids!

  • Third Reich silver ,stolen money from Jews and other people . Each Nazi coin has questionable origins which further diminishes its so called value . Feel free to not support the people who would trade in this dark history that noone should be proud of.

  • cool video

  • Cool!

  • great video but PLEASE cut out the cheesy music its annoying and distracting.

  • great!

  • The Third Reich produced millions of 90% silver bullion coins. Each Nazi 5 Reichsmark coin weighed 13.88 g and contained exactly 12.5 g of fine silver. Almost half an ounze of silver in each coin. These coins are still readily available today! And besides their inherant value as silver bullion, they are also genuine Third Reich collectables thus adding to their value!

  • I've bought stuff from them but it makes no sense to pay all those shipping costs.

Buy from a local dealer they are usually cheaper you get the product right away and no shipping costs.

Also it's not traceable when you buy it from a local dealer.

    Don't be an APMEX homer!!!

  • sweet coins

  • I want a i-Pod touch

  • American Precious Metals Exchange

  • Hey MARK!!!!! LOVE UR VIDS =)

  • WHat's up with the stupid shipping charges!!! My only gripe.

  • @DigitalSkyline Thats why I order from NWTM :)

  • @DigitalSkyline Goldmart.com is my latest discovery. The shipping rates are far better, sometimes I have even received Free Shipping. Apart from shipping, they have the lowest prices I have found online. Has anyone else worked with Goldmart? Any thoughts?

  • Mark,

Nice to see your vedio clip on some useful tips about buying gold. I have a quck question .

The dimension of 10oz pamp sussie gold bar is 35mmX60mmX8mm .Right ?

So if you buy 10oz Pamp sussie gold bar what should you look for ? Exact dimension match or make sure that the bar weighs miinimum 311 grams or more ?

  • Buy a scale

  • My favorite are the Stackers from Scottsdale Silver

  • SUBCRIBED

  • APMEX is great,, I have ordered much Gold and silver coins as well as a few silver bars and never had any problem,,,their prices are great,, this is the only place i order my goodies from.

  • @GALAXYTECH69 Indeed APMEX is cool!, Monarch Silver is great too! You dont find handmade-bars like they do em anymore ;).

    - Rev

  • game show FTW!

  • comment

  • Fizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • love the silver coins

  • this site is only for americans. that sucks so bad. it almost makes me ashamed to be canadian.

  • Cool Coins :)

  • Cool!

  • FYI... APMEX will not let you order more than $5000 worth using a credit card.

  • are all the precious metals on apmex sold in troy ounces?

  • apmex is great

    so is e-bay

the best is your locale coin shop

  • i don't think thats right the 2% surcharge is because VISA charge them 2% it's not because the market prices change

  • A Mouth piece for APMEX,i see !

  • I buy from APMEX about every month(silver bulion). I am not a mouthpiece or spokesman. Everything this man says is True.

  • does anyone know about the apmex morgan 1oz silver bars, are they good to accumulate?

  • I like bullion. Take a numis to a dealer usually you'll get screwed. Unless you want to fight tooth and nail high bullion prices with a numis will deter the dealer to buy. They'll say its scratched whatever. I like to go here ya go some pos private mint crap.

  • 4 bucks over spot? NO, no no! The company I buy from charge me around 2 bucks over spot. And I love the service and the quality of the product! I rather stick with that!

  • $4 over spot was normal when the New York spot price was too low several months ago.

  • I assume they're tacking on the fee they pay to the credit card company on top of the usual 25 dollar shipping fee. Although it does seem a bit high. Anyway, I've sent money orders to save on shipping. Great outfit as far as I can tell.

  • I have it is not 2% for shipping. Example...a 100 oz bar at $1,768 is showing a shipping fee of $77.99. That is closer to 5%. I don't live far from them either. They are based out of Oklahoma and I am about 400 miles away from there

  • You are the best on youtube u rock!

  • sweet

  • PICK ME I WANNA WIN!!!

  • Don't know about this guy but I have had NO problems with apmex with 10's of thousands worth of orders.... been very satisfied and their prices are good, shipping is quick, gentleman below needs to read the clearly defined rules about canceling orders...

  • nice video

  • I have to say I ordered two coins and a couple of bars with my first order from apmex and wasn't too happy.. However All the other orders were spot on perfect and all excellent condition. I ordered a ten oz bar, some silver philharmonics and maples. Fastest shipping! 4.5 Stars for apmex. good vid.

  • premiums are high but they are just as high for the matching item if you look on ebay. You can recover the premiums back to a reasonable extent if you sell on ebay. You aren't typically buying physical for a quick turnaround anyway.

  • Give us a tour of all the coins you've collected.

  • I just purchased $140 face value bag of pre 1965 silver coins totaling 100 ounces of silver. I paid $1454.60 + $35 shipping. How did I do?

  • Apmex is pretty good but be careful. The price of silver has been declining and they dont lower the prices of their bullion on their website. Its a big rip-off. Silver is like 12 and change an ounce and all the products on the website are like 14 an ounce or more. Paying 5% or even 6% over spot for bullion is one thing, but paying almost 20% over spot is a pure scam. Be careful with this stuff. Also, none of the products are comex certified. You will have a problem when you sell.

  • look they clearly say what they are charging above the spot price. if you want that specific silver round they will tell you if it will cost you more. they have generic silver in stock from time to time for .59 above spot. you can also get 5oz, 10pz, or larger bars for .99 or less above the spot.

and they update the silver price automatically every 10 mins or every time you refresh the page.

    5stars for sure

  • just bought a 10 oz bar from APMEX an hour ago =)

  • Apmex is AMAZING. i placed an order and got it at my door later that week! it took 1 day to ship. Really guys, try them out

  • im buying the of of the year i think its a good buy cause its 18+ a piece, plus silver eagle right now its only 1.79 os, which is 15.17 a piece... buy it now, they have promotion till july 9th

  • Silver is 12 an ounce. Why in your right mind would you pay 15 an ounce for some stupid coin? Thats like 25% over spot. You have to make more than 25% on your investment just to break even. There is no such thing as a "Promotion" on silver. 100 oz englehard or johnson matthey comex certified bars are really the only investment grade silver you should buy. Everything else will be impossible to sell

  • if you can afford 100 oz you can get stuff for .79 above spot. they have any quantity coins for .99 above spot. they also get generic silver from time to time for .59 above spot

    they are very reasonabley priced

  • I have ordered from Apmex quite a number of times, with no problem, and they are certainly cheaper than the local coin shops where I live.

  • Wait, did you say the 2% fee is included even on a debit card?

  • It's actually a 3% fee. I don't know if it ever was 2%. There is still a charge for using debit. It's just a little less than credit cards. Perhaps they use it for all those using American Express. Much higher % ugh. Plus credit cards that offer cash back and other promotions. Guess who pays for the cash back and other promotions the store. They get charged more to pay for those little extras. So maybe they just add debit to it to also cover those ppl that use those cards.

  • I forgot.....you are becoming one of my favorites!!! I'm 63 yrs old, long time coin collector, but now focus on 1 - 5 oz silver bullion coins/bars/rounds

Keep up your good work man !

  • I'm in no hurry, price gets locked, I send USPS money order, kick back and wait. I bought some dual date 1999/2000 Maple Leaf coins and also 2008 Kookaburras at a very good price ! You must check out all their items, sometimes they can't be beat! I have bought silver bullion about 12 times over 3 yrs and give them 5 stars, if you buy at least a 12 oz order.

  • I purchased silver coins & Swiss Pamp gold bars in assay cards from APMEX & I did not get any problem.

I'm a satisfied customer & I highly recommend this company.

  • I want to try out this company to see how it works

  • Scottsdale Silver is another one to check out, they accept credit cards without surcharge too.

  • one thing i dont like about apmex is they dont give you tracking number, so I really dont have any idea what day i should camp for my treasure....

  • APMEX (and other high-value shippers) withhold the tracking numbers for security reasons. That way, nobody else will be camping out for your box (or requesting an "address correction"), either. It's worth it. =^[.]~=

  • that is for security reasons, you dont want other people following your pricey package, do you?

  • right now silver are 14.70 , i bought them around 12.6-13 so im still happy :D

  • it took me 2+ weeks to get my product

i place 2 order, one with personal check another one is bank check and still took me 2 weeks this is bad

  • when you order from APMEX it tells you that a check takes atleast 10 days to process... credit card only 1-2 days

  • It takes me two weeks with a check too but they do hold it for a week to make sure it clears. Most online business always do that

  • I pay the credit card charges, for the convenience. I am not looking at it as as much as investment but more insurance.

  • i bought mine stuff on the 4/12 and got it on 4-30?

  • 4 Stars b/c APMEX takes credit cards, are you kidding me!?? I have yet to find a bullion dealer besides APMEX that would allow customers to purchase with credit cards. And why not charge a fee for this?? What's wrong with that?

  • Silvers 4 Suckaz

  • what do you recommend, jurkoffjay? And don't say food and bullets.

  • I'd recommend educating yourself on how to live on planet earth without destroying it.... Danniel Quinn "Ishmael"

    Thanks for asking. 8^)

  • Good advice. Thank you jurkoffjay!

  • I bought from APMEX and will buy from them again. Everything presented here is accurate.

  • who woul dtrust this clown?

  • used them 3 times , no problems with the shipping and good pricing.

  • In my opinion, their prices on numismatic material are decent for fixed price. Sometimes their grading is a bit off and you save money by shopping eBay if you know what you are doing.

Sometimes, they have the lowest bullion prices, especially for small quantity.

  • Please review Tulving, Bullion Direct, Westminster Mint and Gainsville Coins.

  • I for 1 have ordered from Westminster. NICE is all I can say, reply fast to email, fast ship, good shipping costs.

  • Yes, since you can use Credit Card shipping is a good deal. Some of their dies must be worn or pitted on what they carry from Highland Mint so that quality is not as good on some items as other placed like NWT Mint and Sunshine.

  • Great show, thanx
