  • it must suck to be the other guitarist in this band. no matter what you do, you have tosin abasi as your lead.

  • one person is a musical retard!

  • 7,777th viewer! Fuck, this trio is boss. Weightless is awesome too.

  • animals as leaders is maybe the best band a know ..

  • Why is it only counting my views? :/

  • @kzone92 because your a ghost

  • Tosin is my favourite guitarist.

still I think the other two members are underrated. Drummes = sick. Second guitar = sick too.

  • The one person that disliked is, is probably just a racist.

  • @TheWezel1995 More like a bassist.

  • They use bassguitar on their album though :p

(they don't need bass with 8-strings + Animals as Leaders.

  • @TheWezel1995

    Haha made me lol.

  • This is black magic.

  • Tosin win... flawless victory... ABASILITY!!!

  • can i ask a question? why is it so damn important to categorize every type of music?

  • I believe the proper term is, Music. So good!

  • brutal!!!!!! estos manes la tienen :D

  • No dislikes...RIGHT ON!

  • Maybe an idiot-question, but would you say this stuff is something like...JazzMetal?

  • @AceHigh84 You could say that yeah. If you like jazzy metal you should check out Ever Forthright. They're a bit heavier and more jazzy than Animals As Leaders.

  • @AceHigh84 no it ain't got nothing to do with jazz. No improvisation, only the little chords in the beginning can have a "feeling of jazz" but it's not jazz at all.

  • @obgyno

A lot of Tosins inspiration is drawn from Jazz, Progressive Metal and Classical music. You can easily hear a lot of jazz influences and ideas through his music even though he's taken it and made his own. So yes, this has a lot to do with jazz, but it's not something that would be put in the genre of Jazz. Animals as Leaders is a style of its own.

  • I think this drummer owns on their self titled he does some really groovy shit that is kinda hard to follow if you dont really really pay attention and his fills are monsterous when he chooses to whip them out

  • @bodhiskyy lol, the drums are programmed on the album. just sayin'

  • 0 people disliked this.

You know why that is? Because fucking EVERYONE knows how sick they are. ;)

  • get rid of navene and itll be awesome.. i think abasi's work is too much for him. this a job for more experienced drummers.

  • @frenchicelandicpomel your right. and whats the best way to get experience other than experiencing, hes got to learn somehow?

  • @kalebyay i personally don't agree. i guess it is not his playing style and it does not fit the band and the sound.. navene is a great death metal drummer, not a swing/groove/jazzy drummer.

  • @frenchicelandicpomel this isnt just jazzy, groove. it has alot of death metal elements. and i dont think you've listened to animal (animosity's last cd) it is very groovy. in its own way

  • @frenchicelandicpomel you should also check out fleshwrought, its navene on guitar and drums and the vocalist from jfac

  • @kalebyay Navene doesn't play drums in Fleshwrought, there are videos of him and and a drummer jamming simultaneously

  • @kalebyay Unless he just teaches that guy or something

  • To(sin)tally!

  • I was there!

  • Abasi what you did there...

  • lol 69th like

  • Tosin is a BEAST!!!!!!!

  • Words can't express how much i love this band.

  • So what exactly were they doing at the Ampeg/Mackie thing? What gear of theirs are they using?

  • It's really disappointing that people think Tosin is the only talented musician in AAL. Javier (the second guitarist) is seriously talented as well, but Tosin wrote everything by himself before the drummer and Javier joined so he does all the hard bits. Javier has a video of him doing an improv and it's really amazing. I hope he gets a chance to shine on the next album if there is one.

  • @Hojunhu Tosin didnt write everything by himself, it was him and Misha, who did a fair bit of producing/writing with Tosin for the Animals as Leaders cd.

  • @JerrickCrites Alright, but that still doesn't change the fact that Javier is going waaaay under the radar.

  • @Hojunhu Oh no of course, I wasn't trying to downplay any of their musical abilities, they are all amazing musicians, and it wont be long before I get to see them live for my first time (Last show their van broke down and they couldn't make it...) Just not too many people know how much work Misha put into the songs and cd, so I like to spread the info as much as I can. Both bands and all the players definitely deserve the attention and credit. :)

  • God damn these guys are exploding. Gives me a little bit of faith in the music community when talented musicians pushing boundaries are all over the internet at least.

  • No bass player, Jose Reyes plays 2nd guitar.

  • sorry, Javier Reyes.

  • Enough bad puns already!

  • Navene is such a beast!

  • anyone recognized they have a second guitar?

  • this is Tosin-ally Abasi-ng

  • I already saw AAL twice and both times were such EARGASMS! Tosin is amazing \m/

  • Navene makes it look so easy. Can't wait for the Vegas date.

  • amazing song!

  • Abasi-lutely amazing.

  • I hate how people are listening to metal but avoid listening to anything with growls in it because they hate it...they shouldn't be allowed to listen to metal at all.

  • @Megadedly and i hate narrow-minded music-fascists...they shouldn`t be allowed to listen to any kind of music

  • @BreeBreeBreekachu How am I narrow minded? I like both clean and growling vocalists. People who can't listen to both are really the narrow minded.

  • @Megadedly it just sounded like you`re a super-trve metalhead...so why did you complain about people who don`t like growls on an instrumental band?

  • @BreeBreeBreekachu If they have never liked growls in metal, why should they listen to this? this is...too...Godly for their ears.

  • @Megadedly sounds very unlogical, I can`t see the relationship between vocal preferences and musical talent...referred to an instrumental band, but you`re right, aal are amazing

  • @BreeBreeBreekachu Just saying people should have to dig for this kind of stuff, not be presented to it when they have bands like Green Day in their iTunes library.

  • @BreeBreeBreekachu you mean illogical?

  • @emobangs03 sorry man, i didn't want to offend you with this INexcusable mistake...

  • @Megadedly No, they just don't like the other. That's not in any way narrow minded.

  • Abasicore

  • @666quebec666 dont ever disgrace the music this man/band creates with that god awful suffix "core"

  • @DeadPandaTits you knew i'd never depreciate this band to hardcore music :P it was just for the heck of creating a funny name. btw your username is amazing hahahaah

  • @666quebec666 ok ok, you're forgiven. and thanks, I was actually going to start a grindcore band with this name at one point in time. never got to it

  • @DeadPandaTits I would totaly play in that band with you

  • @TheBigAP13 hahaha thanks. it'd probly be pretty sweet

  • Ownage. Pure and simple ownage.

  • This is a nice teaser since they are about to hit the road for another tour. Well worth seeing them live, even if you don't like the other bands they are touring with.

  • Animals As Leaders <3

  • 0:09 His guitar looks fatter than ever :o

  • @NoaOno He plays an 8 string. soooo sick.

  • Nice!!
