@LeCoconut Yes, and all the comic Rossini is for Contralto or Mezzosoprano and I think all the Soprano that sing these parts are not so good as Mezzos :) sorry for my bad english, I'm italian! ;)

Callas is NOT a lyric soprano, she is an assoluta, a voice between a mezzo and a soprano capable of great agility, singing with varied vocal weight in varied tessituras, strong, contralto-like low notes and solid notes about high C. however, this does not make her a coloratura soprano. a coloratura soprano, even a dramatic coloratura soprano, is capable of more effortless singing. they are in their element in the highest tessitura of the human voice and roles requiring substantial agility

@golpari021 The mezzo-Soprano sings the same song, different style, starting at a few lower notes. Listen to the tone of the voice. The Sopranos are lighter,softer, more fragile voices. While the mezzo-sopranos have a more rich, darker, and powerful tone.

La diferencia entre los tipos de voz son el color de voz, el timbre, Ya sean voces de hombre o de mujer. Las Mezzos Tienen un Color de voz más calido, Con unos Graves muy poderosos, los graves de una soprano son pobres y no suenan tan Fuerte como los de una Mezzo, Pero la Contra-alto es la que mejor graves posee y por lo general son las que tienen tesituras mas extensas pero son muy Escasas!!

La diferencia real entre las voces femeninas no es la extención como tal, creo que es mas bien el color de sus voces. los avances en técnica vocal nos han dado un sin fin de tipos de voces y tambien han desaparecido algunas como la contralto pura; pero en fin, la técnica vocal a cambiado ha evolucionado y ya no hay misterios, con trabajo podemos lograr tanto agudos como graves, pero lo que nos da realmente la clasificación es nuestro color único y exclusivo.

La diferencia entre soprano y mezzo no es solo en que una canta en re y la otra en fa, depende tambien de la agilidad de la voz, (en donde entra los stacatos, fiorituras, trinos, etc del compas, las mezzo tienen la voz mas pesadas, salvo raras excepciones como la Berganza (la mejor de la historia ) y hoy de la italiana simpatiquisima llena de gestos Cecilia Bartoli. que poseen registro amplisimo, y son agiles en su voz.
