I think that is great and so many people learning to play that beautiful song and I congratulate them!! I think I will try also and thanks for sharing and this put a smile on my face tonight!
"Terrible"? "Depressing"? Seriously? It's a wonderful performance by a group of middle and high school students who have just taken a four-hour workshop and learned to play one of the sweetest waltzes of all time -- and they were taught by its composer, one of the sweetest musicians of all time! If you think it was depressing, I think that says more about *you* and *your* state of mind than it does about the song itself!
For some reason I had a vision of a giant metronome falling from the sky and landing softly, right in the middle of the group. A giant metronome from outer space, landing on retro rockets, then opening up and starting to tick, loud enough for everyone to hear. In my vision, this metronome is about 12 feet tall. After the song is over, it would slowly and majestically rise from the clearing and beam up towards the mother ship, somewhere in the outer atmosphere. The crowd would wave their bows

Lovely. I'm sure every one took the music home with them and made it their own.

Very depressing. I feel like - well I'll not tell you what I feel like doing right now! This is terrible - please do NOT inflict it on anyone else!!
