  • Thank you for this video. I am single and self employed. I had a major leak from under the sink to the basement and had no clue how to fix it. You just saved me a from having to call a plumber. Thank you again for posting this.

  • Those compression-valve shutoffs are horrible! Even if you fix it, there's a good chance that by the time you next need to shut off that line, it will either be ready to start leaking again or won't shut off completely, or both. Best thing to do is fix the leak and add a 1/4-turn valve with compression fittings (from a plumbing supply store;HD doesn't stock the right ones), then take the knob off the old valve. The old valve won't leak for a long time if you leave it completely opened.

  • thank you so much for the video. just had a slow leak for who knows how long and was able to trouble shoot it with your help and stop the leak. sure beats calling a plumber at 8 o'clock at night especially when your on a fixed income. your awesome!!!!!
