One thing I've learned from bouncing is that 1) Don't take it personally. 2) Don't put your hands on anyone unless they put their hands on you, 3) Tag team, meaning if its starts to get heated (see rule 1) go inside and have a partner take over. Defuse the situation and believe me, the owner of the place will appreciate it more if you can handle issues without having the cops come resolve it for you.
