I was just 3 years old back then when this movie was shown in the philippines 1973. The only thing i remember about this movies is the sound of the music that my mother use to sing and she always cry. The song never left my mind and now im 41 years old and only now i was able to watch this film. I always love the song.
ficamos horas procurando este filme... só lembrávamos do refrão da musica, até que conseguimos achá-lo aqui, demais, víamos quando crianças!!!!show de bola...
You tube is amazing! I haven't seen this movie anywhere since I first saw it in 1973 when I was ten. I was already in love with John Denver. I had his posters and pics all over my wall. Back then there wasn't cable, answering machines or VCR's. I was really touched by and remembered this movie and wondered why it has never been on tv or cable since. Its just amazing what we are able to find out or see on the computer today. They should really play more old movies. Thanks for sharing
I have been looking for this movie for years!!!I once owned the soundtrack but it was lost.I know this movie word for word.Thank you, thank you so much. You'll never know just how much this means to me!!
Thanks SO MUCH for putting this up. I vaguely remember this movie but it came out when I was only 10 so I wouldn't have been allowed to watch it. A couple years later there was a TV series based on the movie starring Cliff De Young as the single father of "Jill" after her mother died. I was a big fan of the series and would have loved to see the original movie again but by then the TV station was no longer airing it. Nor was I able to find the movie on VHS back when I used to watch those.
I remember watching this on TV in the 70's and been wanting to see it agian thank you for posting it . love this movie it is so good and shows how hard it can be and not just for the person dieing but the ones watch there love die. I felt so bad for the husband it would be so hard to watch one die..the anger of losing some one and not wanting them to die can be kind of selfish and he shows that side really good. I put this move in at a 10
Yes, this was inspired by a true story. If you check out the message forum for this movie on IMDB, there's a topic thread created by someone who knew the actual girl.

Thank you so much for posting this movie. I have been looking for it. This was the first movie I remember seeing where I cried, it is done so well. I think there is a sequel Christmas Sunshine? Do you know if that is onine somewhere? Thanks again.
@JenneLozano Are you going to post it? I would really love to see it. I have seen parts of it but I've never seen the whole movie. I've looked and it doesn't seem anyone has posted it.
I always loved Cliff DeYoung's version of My Sweet Lady but didn't realize until many years later that it came from this movie. By then this movie was no longer shown on TV and I was never able to find it on video. You can't imagine how happy I am to have finally seen this wonderful movie. Thank you so much for making the effort to share this.
Pinch me, I'm dreaming? I can't believe I'm seeing this movie again after so many years. My heartfelt thanks to you julielenore! All the best to you. 200 thumbs up!

She died on my birthday (found that out in the book, was kind of upsetting, yet comforting), Nov 10 (1974?).
