  • sexy guy...

  • who are the girls i love the one with infront of peter xxxxx

  • @fatbuttgay- well described. Summer 83 was a good'un.

  • i absolutely love this song. I was seventeen at the time and now many years later I have never forgotten this song. Its a classic and it brings back many memories and makes me feel good - nostalgia. God I wish I was seventeen again but with the head of someone in their forties (or maybe not but its great to have the value of hindsight). To me it was one of the best songs of the eighties.

  • Early Hip Hop and Break Dance on the UK's streets, impossible hair, exapanding shoulder pads, Auf Weidersehen Pet and Number 73...

Lovely, shiny gentle 1980s pop... so tied in with the happy memories, it hurts.

  • I was living in a tent: sheer bliss

  • This takes me back to good and better times...Julie Randle...where are you?

  • I would give anything to have written a song like this.

  • Locorojo25..I know exactly what you mean....Same age as you and it means loads to me this song, both good and sad...

  • those 2 dancing chicks are alright

  • @superemposed yes mate i want the one with her hair down ahh yeah

  • Just love this, when it hits the bridge I jump around like I am still 16!!!! Please do join me.

  • i so loved this song at the time, summer of 83 and id just turned 15, good good memories, happy times. heard it on the radio yesterday for the first time in ages, makes me happy and sad at the same time if that makes sense. love it.

  • See the boys live at The Cavern on 10/06/10....great stuff

  • my mrs still got this on 7" vinyl absolute classic..

  • i've lived through the 60's,70's 80's 90's and now, the 80's weren't that great musically believe me lol

  • For credible and unique pop music the 80s were excellent. It depends which musical genre you're referring to. Some of the best bands emerged in the 80s such as The Smiths.

  • Really? If it were not for pop during the 70's, how would punk, new wave, heavy metal be born? You are really some dumb ass!!!!

  • Thats something a Supersweetguy calling me a dumb ass,ha ha ha !!!

New Wave came from Punk, and not that Punk was something new either ,The Kinks and T-rex come to mind. Heavy Metal was around in the 60's ,Black Sabbath and Deep purple for example The only good thing to come out of the seventies was Progressive Rock,Thx very much !

  • @antonbrd Sorry about that. Thanks for the information.

  • I am sorry about what i have said earlier, but to widen your knowledge New Wave Music was born out of rebellion from pop music of the 70's...

  • That song was awesome! iam only 24 but i wud do anything to have grown up in the 80s. People had more hart. They were more alive.

  • I like this tune radio 2 played this the other week.

  • and she is so sexy ''and what are you doing now girl/woman? southampton....also like you dancing girl.

  • love the blonde on left she looks like cath tate of emerdale what a classic..bliss.

  • see the boys live at the royal liverpool philharmonic 250709...dont thank me just get your tickets

  • is it a one off gig or are they on tour? would love to see them live

  • think its a one off, not sure. Its part of the Liverpool Summer Pops.

  • Just got my box ticket. Miami to Liverpool via Manchester. This will be interesting (or crazy). See you there?

  • nice song

  • sunbathing on our shed roof listening to tunes like this ,twas a great summer indeed.

  • this is actually a good song

  • hey is that jerry kelly on guitar? I remember him telling me that he was in a band with the same name. If so he used to teach me GCSE english in college many moons ago... such a great guy.

I would love to know what he is up to now.

  • 'Their first and best hit' it's a shame they fired the producer, Nigel Gray (the Police, Siouxie and the Banshees....) for their subsequent recordings!

  • Yeah you can keep your Durans and your Spandaus and your Whams....THIS is the kind of quality pop that makes me feel glad I was young in the 80s!! There was plenty of it around..if you looked past the hype.

  • well said ..xx

  • Their album No sense of sin is one of the best eighties albums ever, check it out there is not a bad song on it.

  • The sort of beautiful simple pop the 80s just don't get credit for these days..this reminds me of the hot summer of '83 so much, I can almost smell the Ambre Solaire and the Boots hair gel!!! Fab song.

  • you must be reading my mind

  • Rachfatcat,

  • what not even your daddy, you fucking beaut.

  • I think you're a repressed homosexual, Sam. I know you're a tosser though.

  • no no im better than tht, im normal!!!

  • You protest too much.

  • you are such a closet, your'e gagging for cock. Notice you like wrestling-any excuse to see men rolling around together in tight shorts. Please dont insult us with with your macho crap, hugs x

  • & what a blinder of a summer it was back in 1983! Hot & sunny for the most part & what a great song to compliment it! Great dancing by those 2 girls too - Totp used to make the inhouse dancers dance to anything even if it didn't fit the song!

  • hanep

  • probably the greatest love song ever written.

  • Probably the best song of the 80's.

  • Everyone had the record in the college at this time

  • Except for me, who spent 20 years looking for a copy of it. I finally found it on casette before it was released on CD. It will be going to the grave with me, literally.

  • A timeless wondrful record. Doesnt this just give you a good feel factor. Did no sense of sin ever come out on CD? I managed to get a good digital copy from my LP vinyl version.

  • Yes, the Japanese re-release of No Sense of Sin, with bonus tracks and all, came out some time ago. I suggest you search for their BBC Peel Sessions CD as well. If you need info on where to find rare versions of their songs, drop me a note. I have the Charleston Mix of "You Don't Need..." on a Canadian compilation release and "First Picture of You" on an Italian compilation release.

  • Yes, i have one and signed by them at tower records phils. during thier live performance here...if i'm not mistaken, that was in 2002/3.

  • First love, best love. Many Thanks!

  • Wonderful! Arguably the greatest pop tune of all time. A beautiful song that sounds as fresh and uplifting today as it did in '83.

  • Its easy to agree with this & it is timeless !

  • unlike a lot of other songs around at the time , this one hasnt aged one bit. a pure timeless pop classic. thanks for uploading!
