Knoxvilleguy2 most are preprogrammed. they contain little. A.I for example collision detection. or other type of safety measures. but overall extremely active A.I robots are extremely rare. Robot's will never take over the world. people who really think that hold back our technological advancement. Making robot's is not only for making more robot's but for learning to make devices more interactive. and more self-aware of their enviroment. by involing them in it.

Most of those robots are just for show, hi -tech puppets, I have to wonder how many of them are really A.I. or else just full of pre - programmed responses or routines. They have software so they can interact w / the outside world. They think that by putting them in a pretty / sexy robot package they can make them more marketable.
