  • Thanks for putting this on, I remember my Dad playing these, on45 eps, along with Stanley Holloways" Brown Boots".".fancy going to a funeral in brahn boots" ..great memories. There was another one called "me an ol Toggy" I think, great stuff from the fifties.!

  • I have an old 45rpm 7" of "Over the garden gate" somewhere ...loved listening to it as a kid. Did Sir Bernard Miles produce any more character studies like this? ...tthey are still amazing today.
