this thing is based of the zeta so of course it would use a simaler transformation, its just logic.

Great review. I agree with you that the transformation looks great and it's quite possible the best MS ever regarding how it hides the fact that it's actually not a jet.

I'm not too crazy on the paintjob this time, but I gotta say the theme looks wonderful in waverider/mobile armor mode.

.....bad f**king ass, i especially love the paint job it actually makes it more like a military weapon then the original color scheme, and after seeing this i am so buying this, oh 1 more thing, after seeing this and the improvements they made with the transformation i say Bandai should re-release the PG Zeta except with using the transforming tech we have today like a uh PG Zeta Gundam ver 2.0 it'd be a lot better then the original which sucked for balance and transforming btw 10/10

actually i believe there's a 4th spot on the delta plus to put the beam rifle on. there is a hole on the blue part of the shield that the beam rifle can plug in.

@vegeta8259 today, i got the mg delta plus and on the manual, it said that in WR mode, the beam rifle goes on the bottom, and either side of the wing and the 4th spot i thought meaning about the top. the top spot is for the beam rifle when delta plus is entering the atmosphere it on the top so that beam rifle wont burn down. trust me i am japanese i can read what it said on there

This suit kinda reminds me of a mixture of the Zeta Gundam and the Hyaku Shiki. Very good looking IMO considering I never really liked the Zeta's design.

the kit has its flaws but i still love it!

and i agree, it does have a nice wave rider mode. especially compared to kits like the ReZEL which essentially looks like a flying box with wings when transformed...

and the transformation isnt even all that bad in my opinion!

i really like your paint job, too. personally i was happy with the color of the plastic though and just top coated it.

Great, thorough review! Nice to know that the Delta Plus isn't as bad a kit as many critics say it is.

Maybe it's a good thing it comes with the bare minimum equipment for an MS (rifle, beam sabers, shield), as if it had any more or heavier equipment, it may affect stability considerably. A worthy addition to the Zeta family of MS!

The two rectangular pegs inside the shield can hold the spare energy clips for delta plus.

also, I've heard that some people have had a bit of a problem getting delta plus to hold its beam rifle with the peg, since the hole for the rifle is shaped a bit differently than the peg for delta plus.

@vegeta8259 gotcha, but I think it was Defiant Freedom that pointed out the weird discrepancy between the Delta plus' beam rifle and the hands. The hole for the rifle is a smidge too big for the peg.

sweet paint job. the mat gray reminds me of a stealth fighter. good that you pointed out the extra support brackets for the transformation. i had a suspicion that they were just supports.

@ODSTpilot9000 The illustrations are excellent for Gundams kits (but also of most other high end kit brands from Japan), to the point of not needing to be able to read japanese. They use symbols to warn for things like repeat on both sides or apply decal. Just start on a simpler kit then a Master Grade to get used to it.

@ODSTpilot9000 I'd say pick up any of the newer High Grade 1/144 kits. Just look for that scale and grade for those you like the looks off. I cannot really tell if you would like specific suits. I personally love the Astray suits and the two forms of the Unicorn Gundam.

delta plus doesnt look bad. i think macross has the best transformation out of everything else. companies need to make transformation simple, easy, good, and aesthetically pleasing.

Out of all the Delta Plus reviews I've seen so far, I always wondered "why don't they just remove the arms before the transformation?!".

I'm glad you thought ahead and did so, it really helps make the transformation seem much easier and plus it cuts the video time much shorter, instead of watching someone struggle through majority of the time.
