They are a very talented team. I think they were underscored because they were fairly new to the scene and they missed the previous season due to his suspension. Unfortunately judges do seem to play it safe and automatically give higher scores to more established skaters. I hope B/L's marks will be more fair next season.

they have better extension and finish than several pairs who finished in front of them here, I agree that they do not have that connection factor that the north americans always focus on, but they cannot be dismissed as a wet blanket like a zhang zhang or pang tong (of 5 years ago) because they are infinitely more intricate and polished, their grace is reminiscent of B&S, and the other brighter points of the Soviet/Russian tradition whose personality btw didn't burst off of the ice surfaceeither
