  • Did they change sets?!

  • "and all-round hottie, Kate Russell," --- So true

  • I love Kate Russell!

  • Until ebooks are rated VAT free like paper books, they will cost more.

  • @mfraz74 I don't think the VAT will be an issue really, a few years down the line. You can get a basic mobile phone for a tenner now including VAT, so I can easily see the type of e-book technology of today heading towards similar price-points in the next few years, as flashier models force them into the bargain section.

And there's huge potential for a vast amount of free material. Advertisement funded, public domain, free archive material etc. And even a possible boom in piracy.

  • @97channel It isn't the problem with VAT on the hardware, it is the VAT that is added to the books themselves that is my concern.

  • @mfraz74 I reckon the VAT on the actual books will be easily offset. I see what you mean though, I wasn't taking the actual works into account. And it would be a good idea to have it removed. But with no physical object to produce and ship, I'd imagine that a direct sale of an e-book could still sell for alot less than its paper counterpart.

  • Surprise surprise the iPood gets a mention.
