... this is most definitely not a 2D game of any sort. It has the feel of classic PLATFORM games, but it's not at all 2D.

you're old school? Playing this game at 6? When you were playing the Atari 2600, Coleco Vision and NES (the big bulky have to blow on the cart gray box version, not the new one) when you were 6, then you can call yourself oldschool! :D

I think you missed my point. I'm saying that you aren't oldschool at all if you were 6 when this game out (1999 which is the same year Quake 3 was released). By then games were already maturing and 3D games were the norm. It's way after Doom, Quake and Quake 2 -- and that's just mentioning id games, not even the other awesome games from the past.
