For example one way in which children cease to believe in santa, is for older kids to ridicule them, they try to ridicule religion in much the same way. There will allways be theists/atheists, anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence will know that to achieve a peacful society we have to respect eachothers views. Hitchens method of ridicule is completely counterproductive on the atheists part. Insulting people won't get them to change their minds.
