  • i love how informative videos get like...1640 views....and taylor swift gets 10000000. not that her videos arent good...but it wouldnt hurt people to stay informed a bit more..

  • Don't get me wrong human advancement is a turn on, but the people that are in the way to my agenda are people who only want money and to be higher in the pecking order. I can't find any closer way to be similar to our ancestor monkeys than to stomp on others for your own agenda. These people are the real problem, (by my standards) to human advancement.

  • The bottom line, (economically speaking) we need hard workers who create business and to be energy independent. As human monkeys we just want more and more. It doesn't matter how great the standard of living is, we just want more. It's more about a pecking order.

  • Why do you think these levels went up over the last 50 years, do you think it was someones magical wand?? It was caused by something. Support our economy but support organic farming and don't buy food that is created by giant corporations that wont budge. Buy local which is better and supports your local economy. Read your labels!

  • I agree, we need to support our economy but someone needs a kick in the ass to promote health too. Oh yeah, not to mention autism levels or all the other messed up disorders that are directly related to food.

  • Look at the rates of estrogen levels, antidepresents, suicides, low sperm counts... I think our country is worse off in many ways. When an animal is low weight we consider them normal, when a human is low weight we tell them to eat more shit..make sure you eat your two thousand callories a day and make sure you eat foods that Americans produce along with all the comapanies lobbying for shitty foods. Eat more, spend more, and support someone else.

  • When you make ten dollars a week you are going to spend a majority of your money on the staples of life. That doesn't mean that your quality of life is less. I know many fat unhappy Americans who spend their day eating basically chemicals the FDA considers "food".

  • I just ran across this speech. This guy is the one of the more intelligible people speak I've listened to in a long time.

  • If there were only a way to mix corporation's efficiency with ehtics and morals we could ALL be somewhat happier. Unfortunately a corporation's number one concern is profit and that is how it has to be. Gov't interference to try to put some "morals" into corporations only put bureaucratic burdens on them and increase prices as they cut efficiency. I don't have the answer but I have an opinion, but opinions are like @ssholes. Everybody has one and they ALL stink so I won't share my "opinion".

  • Speeches like this should get more mainstream attention. This guy hits the nail on the head.

  • Great video.

The idea of using food stock to manufacture ethanol which in turn consumes more petrol products than it`s worth is an absolute scam supported by Bush.

  • Are you seriously blaming Bush? This is amazing that you can be completely blinded to the fact that environmentalist fascist and Democrats have been completely driving the support of biofuels which have created this problem!

  • reidmj1977

I don`t only blame Bush but i saw him on cnn

several months ago pushing this corn to ethanol crap as one of the ways to rid the US of it`s dependency on oil imports.

I agree with you on the others you mentioned.

  • We are dependent on oil imports because foriegn oils helps to keep the price of domestic oil down (supply v demand). If demand could be meet by any current form of fuel, oil still would be the cheapest product by far!! If we are going to reduce our depedency on foreign oil we are going to have to pay higher prices! You can blame Bush all you want and show your ignorance of the complexity of the global market place but in reality we must realize we have ourselves to blame first!

  • reidmj1977

Talk about ignorance, you are loaded with it.

Blame the politicians first instead of ourselves.

These small publicly traded refineries arn`t making a dime even with the subsidies.

The large shareholders(insiders) are making their money of the small retail investors by pumping and dumping the stock then buying back at the low and starting over again.

The idea of using food stock to make an inefficient fuel like ethanol is a scam to say the least.

  • Your comments are haphazard and difficult to follow.

1st show me an example of my "ignorance".

2nd subsidies don't help ethanol refineries they hurt them - subsidies give monies to farmers (not refineries) and also set a minimum price (artificially raise the price refineries pay).

3rd what stock are you talking about?corn? This stock has steadily risen since Sept'07.

Fourth - how is this a scam? Ethanol is less efficient - both economically and as a fuel but it does work and is renewable.

  • Any good idea can be ruined with excess (or opportunist) conservative practice.

  • Conservative practive? Where do you get this is a conservative practice? Because Bush supports this? As the other commenter (variablast) suggested: "Non-interventionism seems to be the policy best taken." This is the conversative approach - laisez-faire (ie government: hands off). Farm subsidies are governmental (control) inflation of farm produce prices. Some Republicans often support this because farmers are a large portion of their constituency. This is not conservative!

  • I'm not interested in a competition with you.

  • I don't blame you ... I would not want to make a negative, uninformed, incorrect comment about a political movement and then have to defend that comment! And I don't expect you to. But I do have the expectation that you refrain from make negative comments about which you have little or NO understanding. Conservativism has been historically demonstrated to be a political policy which has resulted in the greatest and fastest increase of living standards and ecomonic growth - get informed!!

  • No, because you haven't got anything interesting to say, other than you desperately want to win me, loser. And stop flaming this thread.

  • I would note that you have made no defense of your comments rather your comments have become offenses towards me. Using words like "losers" does little towards advancing your arguement rather it shows lack of knowledge in this area and the lack of support for your comments. Do everyone a favor and keep your uneducated opinions to yourself!
