What a fuckin dick!!!!! JUST couldn`t wait for opportunity to try humiliate Ron Pual.. Why are the media people such fuckin assholes ??? Can they not see themselves that he would be the best choice ?? They should support ,, not badger him ....
And yes, working in banking, studying economics, and aspiring of going into politics will open up a LOT of information as to how screwed up the current "system" is being run. Because these guys are the "insiders" and have all the information as to whats really going on. Corruption can leach into ANY form of government. Corruption which led many of America's leaders AWAY from the original American ideals and the Constitution.
For your information there's Left-Libertarian, as well as Right-Libertarian, and even Anarcho-Libertarian (which I lean towards).
Libertarian views that problems like Child Labor in mines you pointed out, is abated by Civil Liberties and "Natural Rights". A child being allowed to grow up and enjoy his/her childhood is obviously a Natural Right.
Thus the prohibition of expoitive child-labor (such as mining and heavy work) would be practiced by a Libertarian government.
Nice, Im 26yrs old living in NYC, working 40 hours a week for a major international banking firm in the US (ironically enough its parent company was founded by one of the guys who created the Federal Reserve).
I too have some leisure time 1/2 of which I spend by myself reading, studying, or debating with other people (online with strangers). The other half... I spend with my friends and girl. :-p
Try not to imply I have no life just because I can type quickly and make sucessive posts.
Take a look at your P.R.China... You have these special laws that gives Ethnic/Cultural Minorities in China special treatment. Is that really something to be proud of? Is it really helping? Despite that special treatment you still had Tibetans running around rioting.
Maybe they disliked being spoon-fed by CCP? Same way we have this bullshit system of "no child left behind" in the US that makes our education system even worse.
As a Filipino living in America you really seem to have absorbed the ideas of the most conservative elements of the American society. You don't know much about China and the special laws. They are not the same American affirmative action laws.
I don't believe in the ideas of extreme right wing religious libertarian and don't expect to be convince of such ideas over the internet either,
I never equated Affirmitive Action with China's special laws towards their minorities? Mind pointing where you read that?
Im not religious, Agnostic is not a religion. I don't regard myself as "Right Wing" nor "Left Wing", as far I as I see it they're the wings of the same stupid bird.
Libertarianism is closer to closer to Anarchist views as they support small government.
2) The Constitution is made to put at check on Goverment, the Bill of Rights is made to guarantee rights to people. As far as discrimination goes, well thats up to society to change itself. We don't need special laws for segments of the people it only makes big government and reduces our liberties.
1) Workers Rights, Womens Rights, Gay Rights... WTF is all of this bullshit? Why do you wanna see "rights" for certain segments of the population? Don't marginalize people. Equal Human Rights such as Right to Life were already thought about.
If you're criticizing "Free Market Capitalism" because you believe it only helps Big Business... well, look at this way.
The real problem isn't Free Market Capitalism, its the Central Banking System which by concept is closer to Socialism than Capitalism as it centralizes the creation of money. Whereas Free Market would mean competing domestic currencies within the same state which the USA used to have until the establishment of the Federal Reserve (Central Bank).
You win by default. I can't reply to every single point you made because I need to work and enjoy my leisure time. However, as I mentioned Charles Dickens wrote about the realities of capitalism before the Federal Reserve and the age of the big central banks. I am not familiar with what students read in the US, but the stories aren't pretty. A look at the problems of the time like child labor like in the mines of PA and homelessness proves that banks weren't the cause of all problems.
21st Century Problems? Thats a rather general statement. Mind specifying what exactly you mean by that? Because if you mean wars, famines, diseases, natural disasters and etc. have been going on for centuries.
If you're talking about "terrorism" or "social welfare" or "universal healthcare" you're talking about Socialism. But then again, seeing as your in the PRC you might notice that even a govt as big as the CCP is still relatively unable to help everyone in China. Socialism doesnt work!
Also changes or "improvements" as you like to term it, are made on the constitution via Amendements. Yet you make this statement: "Even with amendments the Constitution is outdated." So then what type of proposals do you have on improving the Constitution short of putting it into a shredder bin.
Those were the days. Applying 19th century solutions of classic economic liberalism for 21st century problems is like using the 1789 US Constitution without amendments in 2008 America. The system has changed and adapted since to avoid its own destruction. Even with amendments the Constitution is outdated. The electoral college is just one example.
Parroting the Bildenberg propaganda that the U.S. Constitution is somehow dated and not applicable to today's world is just glib rhetoric, with no basis in fact, and only serves to help the Bildenberg cabal introduce pre-1760 neo-feudalism as a modern solution. Weak. The Constitution lives and adapts and keeps government from violating the rights of the individual citizen. When applied, it makes freedom, prosperity and peace possible; when violated, tyranny reigns.
I have no idea what are you talking about. However, I know that a document written in 1789, unless it evolves to adapt to current times, is not going to be very relevant to 2008, the year we happen to live in. That's a 219 years gap. That is why I specifically used the phrase "without amendments."
Using solutions from policies of the 19th century economic liberalism in today's world is not going to hold. Those policies, however, serve Charles Dickens so well, giving him a lot of material.
I don't see how pointing out some problems in our Constitution is going to bring a neo-feudal order. The electoral college is an outdated idea. The writers, Founding Fathers if that makes you happier, were mostly rich White property and slave owners. They were afraid of the masses. The electoral college was a way to put a check on the people's choice. Common, slaves were 1/5 of a person. In a way the document allowed slavery. It needs to adapt and be interpreted accordingly.
Since you believe that documents from the 18th Century like the Constitution and Bill of Rights are "outdated", perhaps you can practice what you preach and SHUT UP as you no longer have the Right to Free Speech since apparently its an "outdated" concept to you. LOL!
Are you that stupid or so mentally distorted that can't really understand my comments? I am saying that the Constitution needs improvement because it is in many ways outdated. I am not saying that basic and unalienable rights should be eliminated. Far from that I am saying that new rights, civil rights, that were included by the rich property and slave owning males who wrote the Constitution didn't think about. Is that really that difficult to understand? You should shut your stupid mouth up.
You babble on about "improving" the Constitution, well where's you letters to the Congress on adding in those proposed amendments? All you've commented are vague and general comments on so-called improvements. Make specifications of what improvements those would be, rather than calling the Constitution as something "outdated". If you're as intelligent as you believe you are you'd do something like make a point rather than just criticize the document that basically made this country.
There is no point sticking up for any of the Fox News Dictators. Your still being out foxed, The Fox agenda is clear, Get rid of Paul. Cas Paul dont fit in ObBilleryBushCain

The purpose of the government was never to create welfare for everyone. People need to become responsible for their own lifes because when we rely on government all we get is more taxes and poor quality service. Communities should volunteer time and money and food to help each other, but we can't continue to let the Government forcefully make us pay taxes to pay for wars and huge beaurocracies that are supposed to protect us and serve us but only further harm our economy.
I'd also like to add that Ron Paul isn't for "no government." He's for a limited government whose authority will only come from the Constitution and the people of the United States (where it rightfully should come from). The role of government should be to protect civil liberties, not impede upon them for a false sense of security.
The super-ultra Rich people are rich BECAUSE of government. They have access to unlimited funds - what they don't tax us on (1/3 of our wages + everything we purchase to eat, wear,drive,live-in, etc.)they borrow from hostile foreign nations (i.e. CHINA) or they merely print-up (the private bank that prints our nations "money"). This is a feudal economy dressed up like a democracy. They take it from us via government contracts and other means (See Haig - Cosco; Cheney - Halliburton, etc.).
I'll answer your question. No government is good for all people, well, except for those in government. We have the largest (both in financially and employees) government in the history of the country and we have the following: A War on Drugs; A War on Poverty; A war on the 2nd Amendment; rampant teen pregnancy, HIV and our education system is dropping like a rock globally. So tell me, how is it that the answer to the problems of today (brought on by big government) is with more government?
There is a difference between bad big gov and good goverences. I live in a country which is the schoole exampel of a nanny state and we dont have the same problem. I just dont understand how little goverment that Ron Paul wants and how it will help america?

Of course child labor does border on slavery sometimes and when it does there needs to be intervention.
