For your information there's Left-Libertarian, as well as Right-Libertarian, and even Anarcho-Libertarian (which I lean towards).

Libertarian views that problems like Child Labor in mines you pointed out, is abated by Civil Liberties and "Natural Rights". A child being allowed to grow up and enjoy his/her childhood is obviously a Natural Right.

Thus the prohibition of expoitive child-labor (such as mining and heavy work) would be practiced by a Libertarian government.

The system has changed and adapted since to avoid its own destruction. Even with amendments the Constitution is outdated. The electoral college is just one example.

I don't see how pointing out some problems in our Constitution is going to bring a neo-feudal order. The electoral college is an outdated idea. The writers, Founding Fathers if that makes you happier, were mostly rich White property and slave owners. They were afraid of the masses. The purpose of the government was never to create welfare for everyone. People need to become responsible for their own lifes because when we rely on government all we get is more taxes and poor quality service. Communities should volunteer time and money and food to help each other, but we can't continue to let the Government forcefully make us pay taxes to pay for wars and huge beaurocracies that are supposed to protect us and serve us but only further harm our economy.
