You're very talented - this was great! However, I'm not a fan of the excessive auto-tune. It's smart to use auto-tune to keep the back up support in tune and from clashing, but using it on the solo lines takes away from the soul of the song. That said - 5/5 -bravo

Thanks! I usually start with the bass line, fill in the rest of the parts, and record the solo last.

Thanks! Good question. To be honest, I don't remember, but sometimes what I'll do is sing a part in the right key and if I can't hit some of the lower notes, I'll just bottom out on a note that I can sing comfortably and adjust it down later. However, there is also an octave BELOW that on the track that was included to make the bass thicker.

how do you accomplish getting such a blendy sound? it's amazing. really.

There are a few things that really help. The first is obviously tuning. Perfectly tuned chords "gel" much better. The second is doubling the bass down an octave. This helps fill out the sound. The rest is just EQing and panning stuff around so it's not directly interfering with another part.

Also, it's really easy to blend with yourself. :)
