Nice shot. A little short on the Eagle, and a little long on the explosion. But it's still in a rough form, and I'm sure the finished sequence in the overall film will reflect a well done piece of special-effect oriented story telling. good one!
The asteroid explosion at the end is from the episode 'End Of Eternity' from series 1. I saw the trailer for 'Immortal Soul' you posted Provitamin, is this the same project?
Hi Hinesriley, I agree season one was what Space:1999 was all about. I loved it and still do hence my attempt at this new season one style new episode. Actually thought season two kicked off not bad with the Metamorph but soon production valued slipped drastically and the show turned into a farce, which was a great shame.
@provitamin I don't know about you, but when I saw the first episode of year two for the first time, it didn't go very well. I think I was 8 years old, and I'm not sure, but I think I might have uttered my first obsenity. The transformation was totally unexpected, except for a vague allusion to "changes, improvements" tucked obscurely in the back of the newspaper a few days before it aired. The "changes" to the musical score, costumes, set, and characters in no way resembled "improvements."
Hi TB1fan, Well I'm currently working on a final draft of the script for this new episode. This episode is a continuation of space:1999 season one. I will have some more clips to put up shortly. Not sure on completion time as yet.

I'd love someone to pick up the script that was called Children of the Gods, by Johnny Byrne. It was written but never made into an episode.

So many good sci fi shows went this way. Look at Battlestar or Buck Rogers. Good starts but crappy second seasons.

Season One. Simply Excellent!
And...Where it should have remained. Ole Freddy took over for Season Two. Damned shame.
Imagine where we could be....
Let me know if I can help in any manner!
